Welcome to the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District The Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of programs, (recreational, educational, and creative) covering a multitude of age groups and varied abilities. The District’s goal is to offer residents the highest quality of life in the Brushy Creek Community by providing the best level of water and wastewater, parks and recreation and other services in the most cost-effective manner.

Membership Photo IDs are issued for all memberships and passes (except day pass users). There is a $5 replacement fee for lost cards.
** A $25 activation fee is assessed for all new memberships (individual or family).
Fee is due with initial application and for reactivation of a cancelled or expired membership (expired over 30 days). Many fitness classes are free with memberships. View: www.bcmud.org (Forms & Documents) for a membership application. ALL MEMBERSHIP CONTRACTS (except Individual Short-Term) are for a 12-month period. Quarterly and monthly memberships will automatically renew. After the initial 12-month period, any membership may be cancelled at any time by providing 30 days written notice. The Center may revise membership fees, charges, and rates at any time. In order to qualify for the “Resident” rate, you must live in the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District.

Community Center Members receive special rates for many classes, activities, and room rentals. Residents receive reduced rates on room rentals, some programs, and some Parks and Recreation activities. 4. Refund requests must be made to the BCMUD 7 days before the class or program begins.

Unescorted Minors Minors who are not 10 years old AND have not commenced 5th grade of school may not be left unattended in the Community Center unless they are participating in a supervised program or accompanied by a member 16 years of age or older, or accompanied by an individual 18 years of age or older who has purchased a Day Pass. *Minors, 5th grade - 17 years, must have a Release Form signed by their parent(s) or guardian before they will be permitted to enter the Community Center. From winding trails amongst ponds and waterfalls throughout our xeriscape garden to long trails connecting to neighboring trails for long runs, walks and bike rides. Support Your Local Youth Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District Youth Scholarship Program Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District offers financial assistance for eligible youth to participate in Parks and Recreation classes, programs, and activities. The exclusive source of funding for the program is private donations. Funds of the District may not be used to provide financial assistance. As a result, the availability and amount of any financial assistance is subject to the receipt of private donations by the District to fund the program. Donations are accepted for the youth scholarship program. If you are interested, please contact the Community Center Coordinator at b.schultz@ bcmud.org. Kinderdance I The perfect start to a little dancer’s journey begins with Kinderdance I. Learn the positions of the feet/arms, plie, releve, saute and bourre in ballet. Learn toe tap, heel dig, shuffle and chug in tap. TUESDAYS Session Dates October 8 - December 10 (9 classes) (no class Nov 26)
The next step in a little dancer’s journey continues with Kinderdance II. After a dancer has completed one year of Kinderdance I, we will keep building on the techniques of ballet and tap. Taekwondo The Brushy Creek ATA is part of the American Taekwondo Association, the premier North American organization dedicated to the martial arts discipline of Taekwondo. Our programs engage both the mind and body; we focus on improving fitness, strength, flexibility, and self-defense skills, as well as maintaining a positive mental attitude. Semi-Private Volleyball Lessons Coach Newkirk is offering weekly sessions of small group off-season volleyball training. These one-hour training sessions will be aggressive, move quickly and insist on the focused and driven young player(s). Each session will have at least 3 players with a maximum of 12 per training group. This is a “Prepare for Club” or Select Volleyball Training. Athletes will receive 1-on-1 instruction including position training, conditioning/jump training, and team development concepts. Lifeguarding Course

This course certifies participants as American Red Cross Lifeguards, the most in demand lifeguard certification in the United States. Participants that successfully complete the course will receive a Lifeguarding/ First Aid, CPR/AED, and Administering Emergency Oxygen certification valid for 2 years. This is the required certification to work as a lifeguard for the Brushy Creek Aquatics Department as well as numerous other pools/aquatic departments in the area.
This course is open to previously certified American Red Cross lifeguards whose cer tification has expired. This is an accelerated course that certifies participants in a shorter time frame than the full certification course. Complete understanding of all lifeguarding materials and skills is necessary prior to the beginning of this course.

Music in the Park
Who wouldn’t enjoy an adult-only night with their neighbors? Here is your chance to be a part of the second summer of the Brushy Creek Music in the Park series. Join us at a District pavilion for live music from a local rock/cover band. Please feel free to bring your own snacks and/or beverages. Regular Park rules apply. A Parent’s Night Out with extended hours will also be offered at the Community Center coinciding with these events for parents wanting to attend. Christmas Tree Recycling, Tree Seedling Give Away & Pancake Breakfast
Please have your Christmas tree (with all decorations & stand removed) at the curb by 7:00am on Saturday, January 11, 2014, for recycling. Trees will also be accepted at the Community Park behind the Sam Bass #2 Fire Station from December 26 through January 12. Free for Brushy Creek MUD Residents. SATURDAY, January 11
