Quarterly and monthly memberships will automatically renew. After the initial 12-month period, any membership may be cancelled at any time by providing 30 days written notice. The Center may revise membership fees, charges, and rates at any time. In order to qualify for the “Resident” rate, you must live in the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District.

Pre-registration for programs is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a class has not made its minimum by 7 days prior to start date, it may be cancelled. See separate registration date requirements for Leagues. No reminders are sent when classes or events begin.

Community Center Members receive special rates for many classes, activities, and room rentals. Residents receive reduced rates on room rentals, some programs, and some Parks and Recreation activities.

Refund requests must be made to the BCMUD 7 days before the class or program begins.

Unescorted Minors Minors who are not 10 years old AND have not commenced 5th grade of school may not be left unattended in the Community Center unless they are participating in a supervised program or accompanied by a member 16 years of age or older, or accompanied by an individual 18 years of age or older who has purchased a Day Pass.

From winding trails amongst ponds and waterfalls throughout our xeriscape garden to long trails connecting to neighboring trails for long runs, walks and bike rides. Support Your Local Youth Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District Youth Scholarship Program Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District offers financial assistance for eligible youth to participate in Parks and Recreation classes, programs, and activities. The exclusive source of funding for the program is private donations. Funds of the District may not be used to provide financial assistance. As a result, the availability and amount of any financial assistance is subject to the receipt of private donations by the District to fund the program. Donations are accepted for the youth scholarship program. If you are interested, please contact the Community Center Coordinator at b.schultz@bcmud.org. Kinderdance I
Kinderdance II
The perfect start to a little dancer’s journey begins with Kinderdance I. We will cover the basics of ballet and tap in each class. Each session builds upon skills learned in the previous session.
The next step in a little dancer’s journey continues with Kinderdance II. After a dancer has completed one year of Kinderdance I, we will keep building on the techniques of ballet and tap.

Kindertots
Kindergym
This creative movement and motor skill development class is perfect for our 2 year olds who love to move whenever the music comes on! This class serves as a pre-dance and pre-gymnastics class and will focus on developing the skills needed to move into a dance or gymnastics class upon turning 3. Dance attire is encouraged, but not required. Parents are allowed in the class with children.
A high-energy and fun beginner tumbling class. Gymnasts will learn how to tumble, execute individual tricks and learn skills on a balance beam. This is the perfect class for those new to gymnastics. Participants need to wear t-shirt, shorts or athletic pants. Parents are not allowed to be in the room during class. Kindertots & Kindergym

Racquetball Courts We have 2 regulation-size racquetball courts: Reserved Court: This court can be reserved by members up to 48 hours in advance by calling 255-7871 x1 or x2. Challenge Court: This court is used on a first-come, first-serve basis. A sign up board is located outside the court. Players wishing to challenge must put their name on the bottom of the list. See full Challenge Court Policy posted outside the Racquetball courts. Equipment is available for members use in the League Office.

Advanced Swimming Pre-requisite: Students must be comfortable in deep water and able to swim 25 yards of freestyle with side breathing and 25 yards of backstroke. In addition, learning and refining four competitive strokes and two resting strokes, advanced topics such as open turns, flip turns and diving from the deck will be introduced.

Junior Polar Bear Club Swimmers 12 years and under will be challenged to swim a designated number of laps in 1 month (31 days). Swimmers who complete the challenge will receive a Brushy Creek Aquatics Jr. Polar Bear Club long-sleeve shirt*. Tracking sheets will be kept at the Sendero Springs Pool. Swimmers 8 years & under must swim 176 laps; 9 & 10 year olds must swim 352 laps; 11 & 12 year olds must swim 528 laps. *To be eligible for the T-shirt, swimmers must track their laps each time they swim on the tracking sheet and have their parents and a Brushy Creek Lifeguard initial their daily total. To receive the T-shirt, swimmers must complete the challenge and have their parents register them for the course online or in person at the Brushy Creek Community Center. It is never too late to learn to swim! Learn beginning through intermediate swimming skills at an age-appropriate pace. Instructors will create a lesson plan specifically for your needs, whether you are afraid of the water or just need some pointers. This class is taught in chest-deep water.

American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguarding Courses

This is an accelerated course that certifies participants in a shorter time frame than the full certification course. Brushy Creek Running Club Our goal is to encourage fitness and a healthy lifestyle through running and walking in the Brushy Creek area. Ab Lab: EW !
A unique 30-minute N workout that specifically targets the core. By using a wide variety of different exercises, you will strengthen and tone your abs like never before!

Cardio conditioning and resistance work all in one. This one hour class, adaptable for all levels, may utilize the step, weights, resistance bands and jump ropes to achieve a full body workout.
Beginner friendly 40 minutes of stepping followed by 20 minutes of toning and a cool down stretch. Great for beginners to intermediate students!
Interval Kickboxing:
Cross train with a new energetic format that focuses on your whole body with strength training drills. Class ends with abs and stretches.
A high intensity kickboxing class with punching and kicking series. Abdominal toning & muscle sculpting, along with stretching at the end of the class, provide a full body, well balanced workout.

A combination of weights, step drills, med-balls, and squats, broken up by bursts of high intensity cardio. Guys this class is for you too!

Body Toning Plus:
Cardio/Sculpt: Designed to efficiently and effectively work all major muscle groups, utilizing weights, bands, stability balls and medicine balls. Join us in this energy boosting workout.
Pilates Class: Strengthen and tone muscle, improve posture, provide flexibility and balance, unite body and mind, and create a more streamlined shape.

Join us.... Holiday in the Park Craft Fair & Jingle Run 5K

Kick off Holiday in the Park with the Jingle Run 5K. Families are encouraged to participate in the run then stay and enjoy Holiday in the Park. The annual Holiday In the Park will include a trackless train, bounce castles, face painting, performances by local groups, crafts, cookies, holiday craft show*, hot chocolate and pictures with Santa. Community Center Open House
We want a chance to meet you and show you what the Community Center has to offer! Join us at the Brushy Creek Community Center for an Open House and learn all that we have going on! There will be hors d’oeuvres, punch, center tours, a chance to meet your neighbors and ask any questions. Activities for the kids will be held in the Game Room, Child Play Room and the Gym. Christmas Tree Recycling, Tree Seedling Give Away & Pancake Breakfast Please have your Christmas tree (with all decorations & stand removed) at the curb by 7:00am on Saturday, January 10, 2014, for recycling.
