NOTES AND A STOAT GOES SUPPERLESS.
OBSERVATIONS

B.F. Ponds, I watched a Stoat making a bid for a wader supper. It continually darted out from Vegetation near the edge of one of the pools where several greenshanks and green sandpipers stood feeding. Having failed to secure a meal by that method, the animal employed a more cunning strategy—viz., it began rolling about on its back. However, the latter approach—though "charming"— also proved unsuccessful. A. J. LAST, Bury St. Edmunds.
