The most productive day was the 2nd, when 15 species were seen. With the exception of the 3rd, the weather was favourable and the daily species-average rose accordingly to 12·03 (a figure double that of 2001). During our 2002 visit we noted 19 species, absentees being the Brimstone, Small Copper and Brown Argus. Our visit was a week earlier than that of 2001.
