KATHARINE SCHELLMAN

Katharine Schellman writes historical mysteries filled with intricate plots and smart, gutsy sleuths. Her newest series, set in Jazz Age NYC, launched in 2022 with Last Call at the Nightingale, a gritty, glamorous mystery that was a New York Times editors’ pick for June and named one of the best mysteries of the summer by Publisher’s Weekly, Goodreads, Bustle, and more. Hunter J. Skye was born with a rare and terrifying sleep disorder and raised in a haunted Victorian home. Those two factors predestined her to write paranormal-horror romance. She has two novels traditionally published by The Wild Rose Press: the first novel, A Glimmer of Ghosts, received five literary awards and a glowing Kirkus review. Her second novel, A Shimmer of Shadows, is nominated for the Library of Virginia’s 2022 Literary Award.

Hunter is currently a semi-finalist of America’s Next Great Author reality TV show and is honored to have been a part of the filming of the pilot episode. She started her writing career as a poet; her gritty humor and lush lyrical style come together to form her offbeat voice. She loves any opportunity to speak about the horror or paranormal genres.
