FRAMEWORK
Continuous Experience Among walking along the bike path, pedestrians and cyclers have distinctive tempos to perceive the stronger connection between the visual scene and the hill. The interaction of frameworks and users is continuous and varying. It is a interaction between the natural topography and manmade infrastructures.
Camera lens is a framework, it saved the moment they enjoy or the moment they feel have something to say. Framework is a way to lead to people’s focus and rebuild the spatial sense. The topography is a framework. Altitude distance between Jefferson Blvd. and Ballona creek creates a framework for the pedestrians. Their sights are limited in the framework.

Over 50 years ago, illegal constructions were built to solve the population boom. Meanwhile, because of the increasing rental industry retreated and left empty manufactories and dormitories. The conflict between the illegal constructions and the abandoned buildings becomes a issue demanding prompt solution.

Regarding the history of the site, all approaches of renewal in the design process is to preserve the authenticity as much as possible. Especially, architectural style, the spatial network system and the traditional waterfront activities are retained. Meanwhile, provided inherent motivation of industrial heritage, increasing visitors and travelling business stand a need for corresponding infrastructures and visitor spots. It is inevitable to provide more public activities in the site.

THE TRAJECTORY OF WAITING 5400mm 5250mm
The experience of space starts from the base. A vertical path transferring the depth of space, while the top water implies the light above it. Among the upper structure ,the tajectory is repeatedly lighted by different kinds of light, through the translucent columns ,the silk , the glass, molding the spatial tension by the change of scales .The first sunlight will light up the path through the trasparent window.

From the entry to leave, the temperature of material varies according to a continuous experience. The contrast of temperature comes to a climax when people come to the waiting room for the first sunlight from the east. 06|Community Research Assistant on Hoover Triangle Park Prepare workshop with community members and develop different schemes based on the input. Further, deliver both conceptual and pratical design to the whole community.
group #1 . canopy scheme
The Canopy Scheme highlights the need for shade. Shade-trees delineate three separate program areas within the triangle marking areas for seating, play, and discovery.

group #2 . monument scheme
The Monument Scheme is anchored by a large sculpture at the center of the triangle. Pathways lead to the sculpture, which provides shade and acts as a beacon for the community.

group #3 . topography scheme
The Topography Scheme elevates the user, enabling them to enjoy the view of downtown’s skyline, which serves as a backdrop for the community.
