The missionary field may not be as easy as eating peanuts, however, the promise is sure for those who would endure. The faith that we have in these promises will surely give us the SWEET VICTORY AND HARVEST! A life in the service of the King is the most previleged life on the face of the earth. Why? Because in these lines of work we get to witness the FULFILLMENT OF GOD’S SURE PROMISES. WE GET TO WITNESS VICTORY amidst Defeats, SUCCESS amidst Failures, LIFE amidst Death, PEACE amidst Chaos, LOVE amidst Hatred, JOY amidst Grief, INSPIRATION amidst Discouragments and many more.
HE WHO HAS PROMISED HIS WORKERS IS FAITHFUL! Paul added the same tenor in Galatians 6:9, “And Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Jesus’ life is for others, and may it be our desire too. May we desire of a heart for others, and a life lived for others. As we work the work of God may our hearts be covered by the humility of Jesus. As John had clearly stated the words,
“I MUST DECREASE THAT HE MUST INCREASE.
Let it be that our NAMES DECREASE and OUR WORKS FOR GOD INCREASE. When we do the missionary work in the Spirit of genuine labor for souls, what a great harvest we shall reap. Let everyday ends with the lines of this song , WE SHALL COME REJOICING, bringing in the sheaves. Sheaves are all around us, the abandoned wife and children, the beggar on the street, the poor neighbor, the bullied classmate, the neglected grandparents, the ill, the suffering sick, even the violent, the ill-mannered, the selfish , the arrogant, the greedy, the dishonest, the cheater, and the best in the list is the SELF! We are to labor for these souls and for our souls too.
THIS IS THE BEST LABOR ONE CAN EVER DO! AND WHEN WE DO, NO SINGLE EFFORT SHALL EVER BE WASTED! GUGURON |

feet!
The best feet are the feet that walk for the
advancement of the Gospel. We describe any feet, any feet that walk the walk of Jesus when He was here on this earth. The FEET that SERVE are considered as BEAUTIFUL according to Prophet Isaiah’s writing. It is found in Isaiah 52:7
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!” We have the feet of those LE’s, rural and urban missionaries on the highways and hedges and the feet of missionaries in the jungles and islands. The feet of our SULADS missionaries. On the cover, we feature the Bermejo couple in their first year of service as a family with their 1 year old Baby- Zion. Hand and hand with loads of stuffs and their baby, they are enduring the distance, the exhaustion, the mud, the tired feet for an 8-13 hours hike to reach their mission school in Slong, Ned, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. The taste of SULADS life is in the crossing of swelling rivers, carrying loaded backpacks,
This is no joke, this is more than adventure and fun. This is nothing but LOVE IN ACTION! The full commitment and dedication to reach those unreached villages for the Gospel is the heart of a SULADS’ WALK. and walking long distances in the muddy dirt paths.

As missionaries walk, the walk of Jesus, they do not walk alone. Their every step is in a special watchcare of Angels. Psalm 34:7 states, “The angel of the Lord encampeth
round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” The ground where they set foot is holy as their lives are being kept Holy. As the Holy beings surround them the place is made sacred by their presence. People who would receive God’s missionaries would be blessed indeed! The Psalmist strongly testifies in
HIS LABORERS...
Psalm 91, the LOVE OF GOD for all
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. What a beautiful life, what a beautiful promise for those faithful feet in the highways, hedges, mountains and the islands!

Share a Meal
“We do not need to be rich to give. We do not need to be in plenty to spare a little for others. We do not need to have a surplus to share. We just need Jesus and we can give it all.” It was a heart-warming day when our Tawi-Tawi Missionaries made the “Share a Meal” Feeding program to the Badjaos in Diki Island, Tawi-Tawi to happen. What most moved me was when I asked, “May I know who sponsored this inspiring event?” and the missionary answered, “We got the budget from our last year’s SECOND TITHE . What I mean is we; missionaries here in Tawi-Tawi do the Second Tithing.” We all know that compared to what is the trend of the world for employment we are very far even from the basic stipend amount for these
diligent workers of the Gospel receive. They do not have enough but they spared an amount for those who are in need. Thank you Tawi-Tawi SULADS Missionaries for this very beautiful and moving act of benevolence you have extended to our Badjao Community. The good Lord is never unfair or bias He will always repay the whole hearted service you have done for them. I believe you do not want to be published, you do not want even to be mentioned but with gratefulness to God in how you are becoming spiritually in the field is more than a leader could ask. We want to herald this act. We want to publish this story of a group of MISSIONARIES who not have much but have given much more than what they have.

Sulad Pete M. Barolo SULADS Coordinator SULADS Mindoro
“The Mangyan needed people to care for them. They needed a hand to hand in food, clothing and most specially love. We are doing this for love of these people looked down by the society because they have nothing but their primitive ways. In our ministry the greatest joy is to see them meet Jesus and make Him their Savior.”
SEND-OFF of Short Term Missionary Program A Program opened for students and professionals who have the heart for the Mangyan ministry.

AMR- Adventist Muslim Relations
“We Seventh-day Adventists have an atomic bomb of truth in our hands. But how come we are working as if we have only a light bulb in our hands. The work to our brothers from teh tribe of Ishmael will continue to grow and will continue to inspire people to embrace our Muslim brothers and sisters. They are our brothers. They are our friends. They will defend us. They will protect us. They already did!

PARENT’S PADULA
hat would you feel as parents when it is not just your children that learn but you are also given the education that you have missed to experience when you were in your children’s age. Through the leadership of the Tawi-Tawi Cluster Supervisor Sulad Jiffrey Silmaro, a “PARENT’S PADULA PROGRAM” is conceived in June this year, 2017. This activity is done in different islands that would be the venue of their SULADS
Reporting every month. The parents do not just play but they play and learn team building activities. They have so much fun but they learn tons of lessons too. They also have their simple prizes after the activities. But it is not all about the prizes, rather it is all about the laughter, the bonding, the unity, the peace and happiness. It is all about love among them. It is all about the love and concern of SULADS Missionaries to them.
