2016-17 ANNUAL REPORT
with gratitude 50 AMAZING YEARS. IMAGINE WHAT’S NEXT. As Sullins celebrated its’ 50th Anniversary during the 2016-17 school year, we were in a wonderful position to both reflect back and to look forward. Looking back, we see all of the incredible work done by parents, faculty and staff, and students to create the school we are today. We see the outcome of a Sullins education as our alumni step out of our doors and into advanced high school classes, receiving full university scholarships, becoming business leaders and entrepreneurs, volunteering and making a difference in their communities - realizing their potential. Looking ahead, we are inspired by all of the possibilities that our school has to grow. Through our reaccreditation process, the strategic planning process in 2016-17, and new efforts to extend our reach into the community, we are redefining the path for Sullins’ future. To fulfill our mission, we must strive to be engaged, aware, and to educate our students for an, as yet undetermined future. These future-ready students will need 21st century skills to be successful in our emerging world. We are preparing our students to have the courage and capacity to meet the challenges and opportunities in the future with creativity, intelligence, and wonder. Thank you for spending this past year with us celebrating our history, contributing to the present, and preparing for the future. Join us as we continue to work together, imagining what is next and laying the groundwork for the next fifty years. Best, Roy Vermillion, Head of School

Everyone who attends Sullins - whether for one year or many - is considered an alumni and is part of our school community. The year listed by each name denotes the alumni’s 8th grade year at Sullins. A “G” denotes a Sullins Graduate.
Sullins Academy sincerely appreciates all of those who generously supported the school during 2016-17, our 50th Anniversary year. It is also with appreciation that we recognize those businesses, foundations, and community organizations that provide financial support, in-kind donations, and event sponsorship to Sullins Academy. The 2016-17 Annual Report recognizes our donors, both individual and corporate, who made gifts between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. Every effort is made to ensure that our donor listings are accurate.
