BACKYARD. When Seattle looks to get out, to get away, where does it look? To the mountains. To the trees. To the impossibly crisp air. We hit the slopes or the rapids or just the wide deck of a lounge chair. And all of that – plus that fickle, ever-elusive stranger, the sun – all of it lies directly to the east. We look to the Cascades. It’s your backyard. Welcome to Suncadia.

Think larger homesites with winding trails, wildflower filled meadows and ponds. Now add an acclaimed Tom Doak golf course, gourmet dining, world class fitness center, and endless recreation.

This exceptional second home neighborhood enjoys the added benefit of the Tumble Creek Club and all of the amenities of Suncadia. The beautiful rolling, wooded terrain embraces the 18 holes of the Tom Doak signature golf course. Tumble Creek Club members enjoy access to the two Suncadia courses as well. But it's about more than golf. The neighbors and members of Tumble Creek enjoy each other in casual and planned activities and events. The Golf House provides course management and casual dining. Much of the activity is focused around the Hill House, the swim and fitness center plus tennis courts.

There are only a limited number of homesites, cabins and custom homes available in Tumble Creek. Suncadia Real Estate Sales Company is here to help you choose the one that best fits your lifestyle.

THE

NEIGHBORHOODS

Nelson Preserve, Suncadia’s newest neighborhood alongside the Cle Elum river, is a natural environment surrounded by mountain peaks and abundant wildlife. The land, set on a series of stepped plateaus, offers the best river access and some of the most dramatic views within Suncadia. To create the best connection to nature, a series of walking and biking trails wind their way through the pine forests and meadows of Nelson Preserve. Every home in Nelson Preserve will meet or exceed Built Green’s 3 Star rating. And while it clearly stands out for its serene, wooded ambiance, Nelson Preserve is just up the road from the core of the resort.

The Nelson Dairy farm began its life as the Montague Dairy in the late 1890s. Several interesting pieces of machinery used on the pastures and fields remain at the farm, along with many of the structures dating from the early years of the last century.

NELSON DAIRY FARM Nelson Preserve incorporates the historic Nelson Dairy Farm, riparian wildlife corridors, and is in close proximity to the Suncadia Conservancy.

Named 2013 Golfweek’s Best Courses You Can Play

Created by the Palmer Course Design Company, Prospector is 18 holes of gorgeous mountain golf, featuring dazzling views, rolling fairways and fast, medium-sized greens. While playable for all skill levels, Prospector’s well-bunkered fairways and numerous water features present plenty of risk/reward challenges for the more accomplished golfer as well.

Named Best New Golf Course of the Year 2011 by Golf Magazine

Built along the site of historical Roslyn Mines No. 9 and No. 10, this Jacobsen Hardy Golf Course Design is named in honor of the miners who rode “roped” coal cars deep into the earth. Though Rope Rider challenges even the most experienced golfers, with more than 7,200 yards from the tips, it also accommodates family golf. The Rope Rider Golf Park, adjacent to Swiftwater Cellars, provides a relaxing, fun golf experience for those who do not have the time to take in an 18-hole golf game.

Named One of the Top Private Courses by Golf Digest

Crafted by Tom Doak, the extraordinary Tumble Creek Golf Course is a premier example of minimalist design, where the course itself is defined by the natural topography of the land. Tumble Creek’s par-71 course is as varied as its setting of rolling hills, river bluffs and expansive meadows, and each hole is a distinctive yet classic design.

THE

HISTORY Upper Kittitas County was the traditional hunting and fishing grounds of the Yakama First Nations people for centuries and is rich in Native American culture and history. As pioneers began to cross and settle the mountain in the west, coal was discovered here. From the late 1800s through the closing of the historic Roslyn Mine No. 9 in 1963, life here revolved around the coal mines. This history is commemorated with a series of sculptures lining the Suncadia Trail by renowned Northwest artist Julie Speidel. The preservation of Roslyn Mines No. 9 and No. 10 and Tipple Hill, a 120-foot hill of coal tailings, also honor those who came before us.
