Almost half a million users pass through Warwick Station on any typical day. As a transportation junction, it provides commercial opportunities for approximately 6000 traders. Although different to the formal commercial and economic systems within Durban, Warwick Junction stands as an example of a place where the formal and the informal exist in complete unison

SO MUCH PEOPLE PASSING BY PER DAY The MONTY NAICKER EDGE. The highest velocity traffic and overpass leading to the N3 freeway makes this edge the least active. There are some recreation activites under the bridges which hints at a need for such services where people may be waiting for transport or stopping by as they traverse the area.

SITE PROFILE
Here modern life and traditional life mingled. The aboriginals life is a cultural landscape, a history book, while visitors who came for travel and leisure often miss and neglect the essence of the book. What I want to do is not break the edges, but blurred edges. I explored the beauty in aboriginals' memories and daily life, adding reflective materials to the alley, creating different perspectives to highlight and amplify the beauty. These unique perspectives let aboriginals rediscover something previously around them and let visitors notice the beauty much more easier, take the initiative to enter the alley.

THE APPLICATION OF LIGHT
TYPE 1
Light that caused by the top hole provides bottomup visual trend, and the upward focusability. Vertical guide forges the longitudinal continuity of the space.
TYPE 2
Borders between interior and exterior space blurred or even disappeared in the horizontal direction, highlighting the level of connectivity between indoor and outdoor space. It gives expansion from interior space to another dimension
TYPE 3
23
Light passes through grids, although diluted, keeping sending visual messages. A complete wall presents its continuity by means of light, showing its inner volume of architecture
TYPE 4
Light that with clear borders, create core for the space. The core migrates variation of time. The same space will to appear in new images as the time
a bright with the continue goes by
TYPE 5
Through visual continuity brought by the light, we can extend the qualities or attributes of a space to another space, thereby bringing surprise to another space.
TYPE 6
Make use of special forms of light and shadow, weakening differences to highlight similarities. Thus reach a quasi consecutive series of visual and psychological feelings, express the hidden order of the space
