Letterpress printing began in the 14th century as an alternative to laborious calligraphy. Invented by Johann Gutenberg, this form of relief printing was the first method for mass-producing the printed word. In the 1900s, offset and digital printing replaced letterpress as the preferred printing method. At Sunlit Letterpress, we keep the craft of letterpress printing alive, offering printing that leaves a tactile impression and handmade quality that cannot be reproduced by offset, digital, or desktop printing methods. We print nearly all of our stationery on 100% cotton (100% tree-free!) papers made from recovered waste from cotton ginning and textile cuttings. Our cotton papers are also classified as Elemental Chlorine Free. We also print on recycled papers and envelopes made from 100% post-consumer waste. WHOLESALE TERMS Wholesale Program
To qualify for wholesale pricing, you must be a brick-and-mortar or online retailer. We do not offer wholesale pricing to private individuals.
Catalog Pricing
Catalog pricing is in Canadian dollars, unless otherwise noted. To be invoiced in your own currency, please contact the studio.
Minimum Order Requirements
There are no dollar minimums for opening or re-orders; however, there are set minimums per design style for each stationery type. Please see item descriptions for minimum purchase quantities for each design style. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Ordering
To order our stationery, please e-mail a list of the items you wish to purchase to us by e-mail to info@sunlit-letterpress.com or by fax at (604) 575-2235. We will then prepare an order confirmation, calculate shipping costs, and invoice you for your order. You are also welcome to call us with your order Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM PST at (604) 842-3143.
Payment
Payment is due upon receipt of your order request at our studio. Payment is accepted by cheque (Canada only), international money orders, and via PayPal (a PayPal account is not required to pay via PayPal). Your order will be processed upon receipt of payment.
Shipping
Shipping costs are not included in wholesale pricing and will be determined when your order is received. Orders will be shipped by Canada Post Expedited Parcel with a tracking number. Rush shipping is also available for an additional fee. Please note that you may be required to pay duties and/or import taxes if importing Sunlit Letterpress products.

Delivery
Please allow two to four weeks from the time your order is submitted until your order is ready for shipping.
Quality
The quality of your printed items is very important to us. Each and every printed piece is inspected prior to delivery. However, please note that each item is printed by hand with printing presses dating from the early 1900s. Slight variations in color, ink saturation, impression, and/or registration between individual cards may occur. All inks are mixed by hand. This catalogue offers an approximation of actual ink colors.
Return Policy
All wholesale returns (except for goods damaged by shipping) will be subject to a 10% restocking fee. Returns will not accepted more than 10 days after customer receipt of merchandise. Merchandise must be returned via a postal or courier service with package tracking, unused and in original condition and packaging, along with a copy of the invoice (returned items must be highlighted on the invoice). Customer is responsible for return shipping fees. Damaged shipments must be reported immediately to the carrier and to Sunlit Letterpress. Please save the package for return and inspection for insurance purposes by Canada Post.
