Solar Collector Loop

The Butler Wand lies at the heart of the innovative design of the ButlerMaxx Kit. Its double-wall finned c opper construction allows it to be inserted into the hot water outlet of an existing tank without interfering with the current hot water supply. By turning an existing hot water heater into a solar storage tank, hundreds of dollars are saved be eliminating the need for an additional tank. This p roven design can be used with virtually any existing water heater and is an ideal solution when space or budget constraints inhibit the installation of a second tank.

Butler Heat Dump

A breakthrough in solar thermal technology, the Butler Heat Dump provides foolproof insurance against overheating of the solar thermal system. The component sits behind the solar collector and allows for expansion of the heat transfer fluid, eliminating any issues associated with overheating. As the heat transfer fluid flows into the heat dump’s reservoir, it passes through a piece of finned aluminum, where excess heat is radiated into the surrounding air. Because this unit requires no power to operate controls or pumps, it protects the system under any circumstances.
