Weekly Update for Sunnybrook Yachts

"SNOW? Yep, Skis out, Spring next!" For us Novies, this morning marked the arrival of winter, although a few weeks early, as snow greeted most of us when we looked outside. In the boat yards, boats are still being hauled, boats are yet to be covered and all those working outside today know that this was merely a wake up call...it won't last but it'll soon be here...dominating our breakfast table discussions. Snow always means digging out the skiis for those sailors who do downhill things when they're not boating. It's also a time to start planning for what happens after ski season...which is boating season. April 2010 might seem like a distant event but its less than six months away. For us, (we being brokers & dealers) it means organizing orders and deliveries of new boats so that a new boat arriving in May is given the careful attention of our canvas guy, our electronics guy, the commissioning yard which all need to be ready to finalize the boat for its new owners. You, (as a potential new or "new to you" boat owner) can help us make your summer way more fun if you call us over the next few weeks. Why? Simply put, we'll save you money and frustration. We can usually cut some good deals in November...on both brokerage boats and new boats. Call us...we'll show you the numbers. And how about frustration? Know anybody that drove 1500km (or more)to see a boat that was over represented? We hear these stories from people who come in our office and finally say "help me". Just last week I had a client who said he spent two weeks and $5,000 looking at two boats and was still boatless. So, he's engaged us as a "buyer's broker"...the cost? Nil! We get paid by the seller (just like real estate) and we will do our best to avoid wild goose chases and find the boat that works. So...can we help? Yes! Is it the right time? Yes. What should you do? Call us - 1 866 590 9210 or 902 275 2424 or 902 456 0881 and we'll go right to work.

A roomy cockpit allows room for the family and friends; down below spaces continues the theme with a large main salon and galley for enjoyable cruising. "Sagona" was updated by her current owner this spring with a 2009 North Mainsail & 135% furling Genoa. In addition there is a new head ('09) and a revarnished teak & holly cabin sole. Full electronics including radar and recent chart plotter ('07) plus a full galley complete with refrigeration. Even her fresh water cooled Yanmar 18hp diesel had some attention with a with new alternator ('09). She's priced very reasonably due to an unforeseen change in owner's plans. Local sailors can save thousands in shipping and related expenses - "Sagona" is currently stored and viewable by appointment in our yard.
