Arrive at the Mohamed V Airport in Casablanca. Welcome and transfer for sightseeing of Casablanca. Visit the exterior of the great Hassan II Mosque, Mohamed V square, the United Nations place, the central market, and stroll along the Aïn Diab coast. Independent lunch, departure to Rabat, the white imperial city. Visit the Hassan tower, the splendid Mohamed V Mausoleum, the Kasbah of Oudayas and the Medina. Scholars, architects, historians and artists travel from all over the world to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fes – an entire city which functions largely as it did in the middle ages; and today it’s your turn to discover this fantastic medieval city. Highlights of your private walking tour of Fes include the Medersa (Koranic University) Attarine, Foundouk Nejjarine, the Shrine of Moulay Idriss II, countless souks and the famous tannery. Explore the Dar Batha Museum. See the stunning gates of the Royal Palace. (B)

After breakfast, depart for Fes, visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the sacred town of Moulay Idriss Ist. Continue to Meknes. Visit the city known as “the Moroccan Versailles” which was the founded at the end of the 17 Century by Moulay Ismail. Sightseeing of Meknes include Bab Mansour, the most preserved gate in Morocco, Hari Souani and the old medina. Day 5: MARRAKESH

The whole day is devoted to the sightseeing of Fes; the most ancient cultural and spiritual city of Morocco. Visit of the medieval medina, the medersas, the karaouine mosque and the famous Nejjarine fountain. Independent lunch followed by visit through the old medina where you will see different craftsmen still operating in the old oriental tradition. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight. (B,D) Day 4 (Wed): FES / BENI-MELLAL / MARRAKESH

After breakfast, departure to Marrakesh crossing the region the middle Atlas and passing through Immouzer du Kander, Azrou and Ifrane, a charming ski resort in the heart of a magnificent cedar forest. Stop at Beni-Mellal to enjoy a moment of relaxation. Independent lunch, continue to Marrakesh. Little by little will appear the red earth of the country contrasting with the clear blue sky and the eternal green palms. Full day visits in Marrakesh, the second oldest imperial city known as the “Pearl of the South” with the Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace and the Menara gardens. After breakfast a full day tour of Marrakesh. Marrakesh is above all a city of heart and soul – a city of sunlight on rough pink walls, of fragrant piles of richly-hued spices and of rosepetals floating in slowly-trickling fountains. Begin your day at the tropical Majorelle Gardens and visit the small, but excellent, Islamic Art Museum located in the home of painter Jacques Majorelle. Visit the Medieval Medersa (koranic university) ben Youssef – one of the finest Islamic monuments in North Africa. Architecture aficionados will enjoy the nearby delicate dome of the 12th century Koubba. You will also visit the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace. Explore the colorful Souks (marketplace) of Marrakesh. Each trade spices, carpets, jewelry, enamel, copper, brass and cedar - is situated in its unique quarter. Wander through the Dar Si Said Museum of traditional crafts housed in a 19th century palace, and a private collection of indigenous crafts started by a Swiss collector and now open to the public. Pass through the Djamaa El Fna Square to see a little bit of the action. (B) Day 6: MARRAKESH

After breakfast a half day visit of the city to wander about the enchanting streets and alleys of laid-back Essaouira. Once known as Mogador, Essaouira’s blue and white colored Medina was recently named a UNESCO World Heritage site. Afternoon departure through the scenic country side to Marrakesh. You will arrive in Marrakesh early evening. You might want to spend some time on your own at the famous Djamaa El Fna Square. Food stalls, snake charmers, storytellers, henna artists, monkeys, acrobats, medicine men, jugglers, musicians... the huge square of Djemaa El Fna has it all. Morning city tour of Ouarzazate including, the Taourirt Kasbah, which was constructed by the Pasha El Glaoui. Recently restored, it is remarkable for its handpainted wood ceilings and offers a superb view over the oasis and lake of the El Mansour Eddahbi Dam. Later visit the Tifeltout Kasbah, an old fortress on the cliffs above the Ouarzazate River, former residence for a representative of the Glaoui Pasha. Dinner at the hotel. Today we explore the bustling marketplace of the walled city of Taroudant. Head west to the Atlantic coast across the Sousse Plain through the three-million hectare Argan Biosphere, recently recognized by UNESCO. Goats precariously climb Argan trees in search of their small fruit, which is known for it’s unique flavor. Arrive to the festive Sea Resort of Agadir, dinner at your hotel. After breakfast you will have a full day excursion, visiting the famous Egyptian Museum where archaeological pieces dating as far back as 3000 BC are in exhibit. You will see the famous treasure of King Tut-ank-amon. Visit the Alabaster Mosque (also known as the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha), the Coptic district, and the Ancient Citadel, built in 1176. (B,L,D) Day 11 (Tue): CAIRO / ABU SIMBEL / ASWAN

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cairo airport for flight to Abu Simbel, one of the most impressive sites in Egypt. Here visit two temples built by Ramses II as a high-architect before he became a Pharaoh. The famous 100 foot high Great Temple features 4 statues of Ramses II and his wife Queen Nefertari, each 65 feet high. Next to the Great Temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari. Both temples were originally carved in a mountain. In 1965 they were moved 600 feet and raised 65 feet, thanks to an international project to save them from the flooding caused by the construction of the High Dam. You will then take a second flight to Aswan, transfer either to Aswan Isis Hotel for dinner and overnight; or if space available to cruise ship MS Carnival. (B,D) Day 12 (Wed): ASWAN / KOM OMBO (Cruise)

After breakfast a full-day optional excursion** in Aswan including a Felucca Sailing on the Nile River and later visiting Temple of Philae, the High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk site. In the evening we will sail Kom Ombo for an excursion to the Ancient Site there. Lunch and dinner are aboard the cruise boat MS Carnival. (B,L,D) Day 13 (Thu): KOM OMBO / EDFU /ESNA (Cruise)

As you have breakfast we will sail to Edfu. Upon arrival in Edfu, an optional excursion begins with taking a horse-drawn-carriage ride in Edfu, and then visiting the Edfu Temple. Later in the afternoon sail to Esna, where boat will dock for overnight. (B,L,D) Day 14 (Fri): ESNA / LUXOR (Cruise)

This morning we cross the locks on the Nile in Esna-providing a fun canal-crossing experience. We continue to sail north to Luxor. Optional Excursions in Luxor include, Luxor and Karnak Temples and visit to the West Bank of the Nile with Thebes, Valley of Kings, Valley of the Queens and Collossi of Memnon. Today, you will have a full day excursion, visiting the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Drive around the Pyramid of Chephren, the Pyramid of Cheops (also known as the Great Pyramid or Khufu), and the Pyramid of Mykerinos. You will have time to walk around the Cheops, and take pictures. Then visit the Sphinx, the huge one-piece sandstone man-headed lion-bodied statue. Continue to Memphis, the capital of Old Kingdom; and then Sakkara, to visit the Step Pyramid, the first monumental stone structure in Ancient Egypt. (B,L)
