Non-resident families may enroll their children on a tuition basis. For non-resident fee information, please review the information on the Summer School website.

Fees and Refunds If your child is unable to attend Summer School after you have enrolled and paid a fee, you may have that amount applied to your child’s lunch account for the upcoming school year or have it refunded to you. Requests for fee refunds must be made before the Summer School session begins, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Please contact Jo Guyette at 608.834.6579 or jmguyet@sunprairieschools.org with questions about refunds.

Transportation Services District transportation will be available, but we respect and support the decision by parents/guardians to transport their children. We encourage families to consider transporting their child(ren) to/from school to free up space on buses. We will do our best to provide as much physical distancing as possible. There will be a limited number of buses and drivers, therefore physical distancing on buses or at bus stops cannot be guaranteed. There will be a question on the Summer School registration for parents/guardians to register for district provided transportation if they qualify.

Safety Creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment is our first and most important job here in the Sun Prairie Area School District. Fire and severe weather drills are conducted at the Summer School sites in June and July. The visitor management procedures are in place throughout Summer School. Parents/guardians and other visitors must check into the main office and provide a photo identification card that will be run through the RAPTOR visitor management system. Visitors will get a sticky badge identifying the visitor, who they are visiting, the location they are visiting, and when they will be exiting. The sticker badge must be returned to the office at the conclusion of the visit. We appreciate that all parents/guardians and other visitors meet our expectations for supporting student, staff, and visitor safety. Our youngest learners, in the Kickoff to Kindergarten (K2K) classes will have age-appropriate specialized training in bus safety, traffic safety, following instructions from a crossing guard, fire, severe weather, and active threat procedures. If students, parents/guardians, or staff become aware of any potential or real safety issue or threat, they should notify the Summer School principal or teacher immediately. If the threat is urgent, individuals should dial 911.
