For those who do not hunt, there is a natural habitat, Ogemaw Nature Park, three and a half miles northeast of St. Helen, where children can view and feed deer in a natural setting. Swimming and boating are easily accessible now at the newest township park site near the end of West Airport Road (one mile west of the signal light). A boat launch and swimming area are popular visiting places for vacationers, with an ADA accessible fishing pier, canoe/kayak launch in the making. A community center, housing a senior center serving hot meals daily, with many activities for seniors, is located on East Airport Road.
