According to research about the requirement of this family. They want the shared open space that everyone can use together such as swimming pool and the pond garden that everyone can use for meeting and relax at the same time. But grandfather and grandmother need some privacy open space that relaxes and peaceful. And the son is getting married soon. So, they want to build one more house on this site too for the bridal house. So after the conclusion, This open space for this family is divided into 3 big open spaces and 2 middle open spaces. The 3 big open spaces including swimming pool, pond garden, and cover way court. By this 3 big open spaces is open space that everyone can use together for relaxing, meeting, and other activities. The other 2 open spaces, one is the private garden for the grandfather and grandmother. Another one is the multi-purpose lawn that will build a son’s house in the future. All the open spaces use the element of the Chinese garden integrate with modern style to create a space that has modern-look but also represents Chinese garden as well. Such as pond garden that has many of elements of Chinese garden like the moon gate, the moon bridge, the pavilion on the lotus pond, and the featured rock. Next, the cover way court that uses the element cover way from Chinese garden by reducing some elements of the traditional cover way for modern-look. Last, the swimming pool that use one technique of the Chinese garden such as borrow scenery to borrow view of the opposite of the canal which is a golf course. NAKHONRATCHASIMA,THAILAND

CONCEPT : LAND ART This project’s proposal is to design and planning the housing for PTT’s personnel. This site has an area around 39 acres. And most of the site’s area is the red rock that covers with native plants and on the north of the site is the natural little hill that makes from red rock. And near the hill is the strange shape pond make this site is so special and unique. So, It is the concept “LAND ART”

12

The existing hill and strange shape pond that has the special character. And be the main featured on the site.

So, The main common space of this project is related to this hill and pond. By created open space that harmony with the existing environment and added other facilities to ease for use.

And the other zones such as the housing zone or office can go to the main common space easily.

MASTER PLAN

13

According to the concept “LAND ART”, that want to keep most of special and unique of the site. So, In the special place on the site such as little hill on the north of the site or the strange shape pond is not to change. But adopt the design to harmony with those places such as footpath that follow with the boundary of the hill. And make those places to the common space of the project for everyone can come for a meeting, relax, and other activities. On the other areas of the site that doesn’t have a special character like hill or pond is the area that places the housing of PTT’s personnel.

On the housing zone of the site that doesn’t have a special character like hill or pond, use the native plants and the red rock to make the atmosphere of space in harmony with the entire site. And to create a unity between existing natural and the design. So, the material of path in the project has made from red rock that can use site’s red rock to produce. And all zones can go to the hill. Because that is main common space of this project and the representative of the concept “LAND ART”.

In conclusion from analysis and concept, we separated 309 road into 4 zones based on existing structure include commercial zone, transportation, and education zone, public green zone, and cultural zone. Then, we linked it together by “green pedestrian street”. And supported to future urban ecology trend. We designed this road to uses less of personal vehicle and use more public transport that is “Solar Shuttle Bus” or bicycle. By reducing some lane of this road and renovate it to be a bikeway. Not only public transport that uses electrical power but also a private vehicle in the future. So, we redesigned the old gas station to be super charge station for the future. We intended that this design will change Singburi to be the city of tourism. Not only today or the day of next century but also TOMORROW IN EVERYDAY.

MERU MOUNTAIN 4 GREAT CONTINENTAL SITHANDORN OCEAN GALAXY WALL

According to the belief of Lanna in the layout of the temple is planned by dividing the Buddhist temple zone and monastery zone out of each other clearly. The temple is a Buddhist temple in accordance with the Tri-Poom universe, the temple and pagoda is the eastern-western axis. The pagoda is the center of the temple like Meru mountain. The site of the temple. It consists of the east side of the temple. And other important places in the direction. The border of the Buddhist temple zone is the Northern traditional wall that represents the galaxy wall in the Tri-Poom universe.

SAMBAR DEER

2 RAI / 1 DEER

Because of the preaching of the Buddha’s Dharma for the first time. He preached in the Isabai Forest that can simply call Deer Park because the Isabai Forest has many deer. And it also has the connotation of animals as well. So, I simulating the Isabai Forest into this project by deer open farming that makes the atmosphere in the project near the Isabai Forest. Deer farming can be used in the way of conservative. At present, the forest area of Thailand less and less. Deer farming in the country can be used to preserve deer species in the country, such as Sambar deer /Thai deer.

Because of the reason that the temple is for everyone. Then, the universal design is the important aspect of this project. In the Buddhist temple zone that is the part for the people who live in the near village or traveler have come to worship the Buddha, have some Buddhist activities, communicate each other, and annual events. So, this part must easy for everyone for access. Even, The elderly and the disabled. For that reason, Every path that change level in this part have the ramp for the elderly and the disabled.

According to the existing terrain, that doesn’t have much the flat area for using and the catchment area in the west of the site is too small for rainwater traping for use in the project. So, the main purpose of the grading is increasing the flat area for using and increase the catchment area for more water to use in the project.
