Form retaining, corrosion resistant aluminium profile, dust repellent, easy to clean for complete removal of dirt and residue (hygienic), with a maximum modular length of 4590 mm (luminaire inserts 1230 mm to 1530 mm). Available in six profile versions. Normally, the distance between the pendants is approx. 2.5 m. Depending on the profile and load, they can be adjusted to approx. 6.0 m. For special lengths, please specify the desired pendant distance and expected line load in your order. Luminaire inserts with multi-watt ECG. The mounting rails are prefitted with 7 x 2.5 mm² through wiring as standard. This allows for a wide range of switching options without any additional installation effort. Profile 4 is supplied with 2 x 7 x 2.5 mm² through wiring. It therefore caters for the easy integration of additional circuits, safety lighting elements and lighting control devices. With luminaire adapters and factory pre-set luminaire connecting points according to planning scheme. Supplied as complete system ready for installation. Easy and quick lamp service thanks to NORKA-Rapid-mounting pressure cap. Luminaire inserts with up to three lighting points and reflector tubes that can be swivelled by max. 120° (protection against dirt). The system is also suitable for use under HACCP or GMP conditions in the food processing/pet food industry (e.g. shatter protection).

The installation plan drawn up for your individual project is part of the scope of delivery and serves as a reference document for production, dispatch and installation. Each segment in the installation plan is assigned a project-specific installation code, which is found again on the label of the respective components. This allows for the fast installation of the parts. Up to installation heights of 9 metres, two experienced installers can complete 200 m of installation per day. The only tasks to be carried out on site are the final assembly, the installation of the reflectors and the mounting of the lamps. The connections of the luminaire adapters are assigned to the correct phase as part of the planning process.

Protection symbols

Luminaires of protection class II equipped with certain ECGs require a functional earth connection to work properly. The respective connecting terminal is labelled with the symbol shown here.

According to VDE 0710 and VDE 0711, luminaires are classified based on the protection they provide against dangerous contact voltage. Luminaires of protection class I are equipped with a connection for a protective earth conductor. This connecting point is labelled with the respective symbol.

Luminaires of protection class II are double insulated, i.e. their powered components are equipped with an additional protective insulation. These parts are also labelled with the symbol shown here.

The ENEC sign is an European certification symbol. The ENEC scheme is currently operated by 24 national certification bodies in Europe.

NORKA luminaires that bear this symbol are approved for direct installation on normally or highly flammable materials according to DIN 4102 and other parts and materials with similar combustion behaviour, provided that the ignition temperature is at least 200 °C and provided further that these materials remain stable and solid at that temperature. Such materials include for example timber and wood chip products. Luminaires without the F mark must not be mounted directly on such materials.

Ingress protection

NORKA luminaires are in standard version equipped for a rated power of 230 V/50 Hz. Versions for other mains voltages and frequencies are available on request. The ingress protection classification for luminaires is defined in EN 60 598. The products are marked accordingly with IP codes. The first digit thereby indicates the contact protection and the protection against solid objects, while the second digit refers to protection against water. When installing the luminaires, the technician must use all seals and cable entries provided with the luminaire. If these parts are not used or installed improperly, the indicated protection is not guaranteed.

Protection against water ingress during highpressure/ steam jet cleaning

Water drops that impact at any angle up to 60° from the vertical do not cause damage. Water impacting on the luminaire from all directions does not cause damage. Low pressure water jets from a nozzle from all directions impacting on the luminaire do not result in water ingress. Water temporarily flooding the device (e.g. high water) does not lead to water ingress. The luminaire is protected against water ingress, if the device is immersed for a specific time and at specific pressure conditions in water. Observe manufacturer instructions! No water enters the luminaire, if it is immersed at a specific pressure and for an unlimited time in water. Observe manufacturer instructions! Hot water (80 °C) impacting under any angle under high pressure (80-100 bar) on the luminaire does not result in water ingress.

Polymers used in luminaire production For modern luminaire production, polymer components have become the most important and reliable functional elements. They are chosen, processed and used according to the latest technical knowledge. If luminaires are installed and used according to the instructions, these components age gradually, ensuring consistent reliability. Inadmissible stress and exposure to damaging influences however reduce the age resistance of these parts, which means that the serial polymer components wear much faster.
