Nothing done by UP govt in past 1 yr: Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav today said that despite a number of promises, nothing was done by the Yogi Adityanath-led government in the past one year in the state. His remarks came on the first anniversary of the Yogi Adityanath government, during which it launched a book titled 'Ek Saal Nayi Misaal', highlighting their achievements in the past one year. "The BJP's confidence in lying is tremendous. In the past one year, nothing has been done on the ground despite tall claims and promises. In the entire year, the BJP used to raise fingers on projects initiated in the SP regime, but did nothing new and only followed it," Yadav said. "The BJP was involved in credit-jacking and used to inaugurate projects already initiated in my regime. The people distrust on this government came to the fore in the recently-held bypolls in Gorakhpur and Phulpur, where it had to taste humiliating defeat," he said.

"This has been brought to the notice of board. It will be ensured that no student is put to any disadvantage," a board official said. "The board will take care of the matter before the finalisation of marking scheme which is to be prepared for evaluation of this paper," the official added. "Q.no. 1.3 had wrong paragraph numbers mentioned in the paper and as a result of that, a few students were baffled and expect CBSE to compensate the marks

during the evaluation," a teacher who reviewed the English paper said then. K K Choudhury Controller Exams, CBSE told Times of India over phone from New Delhi that the confusion was caused because of 'a typo error'. "We have decided not to put any student on disadvantage. The students will be benefited definitely and it will be taken care of at the time of marking scheme to be prepared by the board,"Mr Choudhury told the paper. However, contrary to some reports which suggested 2 marks to be given to the students, the board official confirmed to the daily that number of marks would be decided later after marking scheme is released.

KCR and Mamata Banerjee hold talks in Kolkata, call for a ‘federal front’ to bring about political change

 Nitin Gadkari had filed a defamation suit against Arvind Kejriwal after the latter called him one of the most corrupt politicians in the country

of the Aam Aadmi Party, for calling him in 2014 one of the most corrupt politicians in the country. Kejriwal had then refused to bow down or withdraw his statement against Gadkari. On Monday, Kejriwal and Gadkari filed a joint application seeking withdrawal of the defamation case at a lcoal court. Kejriwal last week apologised to Punjab politician Bikram Singh Majithia. Kejriwal also apologised to former Union minister Kapil Sibal. Sibal’s son Amit, a lawyer, had filed a defamation suit against Kejriwal for alleging that his father had a conflict of interest in seeking to revise a tax demand on telecom major Vodafone. Kejriwal and Sibal also moved a joint application to dismiss the defamation case. The court acquitted Kejriwal in both the cases. “Kejriwal Ji and Sisodia ji have accepted that the allegations they had put on me and my son in

a press conference few years ago were baseless. They’ve apologised for the same today. He has apologised for what he did everything is forgotten now, we will move ahead,” said Kapil Sibal. “We will apologise to people who we have hurt. We’re here to serve the people, we do not have the time to go to courts for such issues. We’re here to build schools & hospitals for the welfare of people,” Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said about the apologies. Kejriwal is looking to close all 33 defamation cases against him by making out-ofcourt settlements, said. Kejriwal had earlier tendered an apology to Shiromani Akali Dal leader Majithia for having levelled “unfounded” allegations related to involvement in drugs trade against him, following which the latter too decided to withdraw the court case against him.

GNS Ag / New Delhi: After holding a meeting with West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday, Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called for a “federal front” as an alternative political force to bring about a political change in the country. However, Rao did not give a clear answer whether the Congress would be a part of it but maintained that they would approach other political parties with their idea. “Today we had a pleasant discussion. We have agreed on so many accounts and we are trying to bring in a real federal front for this country. This will be a like-minded group of political leaders. Today is just a beginning. Rest of the things we will make it clear when other leaders sit together and discuss to come to a consensus. Then we will take decisions further,” Rao said while

speaking to reporters after his meeting at the state secretariat. Rao and Banerjee were jointly addressing the media following their meeting which lasted for more than one and half hours. Responding to queries whether it would be a non-Congress front, the Telangana chief minister said, “Today we met and we discussed a lot of things. You will come to know the full details in future because we only two cannot decide the whole thing. There are friends and there are like-minded people and we have to talk to all of them. We made a good beginning today and I am content that we will be able to carry it forward. Our front will be a bigger front. It will be completely different from the present routine model. It will be the people’s agenda. It is not mere Congress or BJP or KCR or Mamata. It is for the people of the country.

2G spectrum case: ED moves Delhi HC against acquittal of A Raja, Kanimozhi The alleged scam came to light in 2010 when the then Comptroller and Auditor General Vinod Rai alleged that 122 2G licences were given to telecom operators at throwaway prices without a free and fair bidding process, causing a loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore to the national exchequer.

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate on Monday moved the Delhi High Court against the acquittal of former telecom minister A Raja, DMK MP Kanimozhi and others in the 2G spectrum case. The latest development comes almost three months after a special CBI court acquitted a total of 17 people charged with criminal breach of trust, conspiracy, and cheating over alleged largescale irregularities in the allocation of 2G spectrum

in 2008. While delivering the judgment, the court had severely castigated the CBI for putting “no question” to any witness on the allegation that a “transaction of Rs 200 crore was a transaction of illegal gratification linked to A Raja” for allocation of 2G spectrum in 2008. Special judge O P Saini, while pulling up the CBI for “remaining silent” and “filing a well-choreographed chargesheet” and noting that the prosecutor had made

it out to be a “case of high political corruption”, said: “I have endeavoured hard to persuade myself to take an expansive and liberal

view of the prosecution case. However, in view of deficient, or I may say nil evidence on record, I find myself unimpressed and

unmoved, whatever may be the nature of the case. High profile nature of a case cannot be used as a ground for holding people guilty without legal evidence.” The alleged scam came into prominence in 2010 when the then Comptroller and Auditor General Vinod Rai alleged 122 2G licences were given to telecom operators at throwaway prices without a free and fair bidding process, causing a loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore

to the national exchequer. The licences were scrapped by the Supreme Court on February 2, 2012. In a veiled reference to the presumptive loss to the exchequer in the grant of 2G licences, Saini had said “some people created a scam by artfully arranging a few selected facts and exaggerating things beyond recognition to astronomical levels” and “a huge scam was seen by everyone where there was none”.

Modi government could not be taken in the Lok Sabha on Monday as the House was adjourned following noisy protests and sloganeering from members of various parties. The motions were supposed to be taken up after the Question Hour, but members from the

Once the House resumed, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the government was ready for discussion on any issue, including on the no-confidence motion and appealed to all parties to cooperate. As the uproar continued, Mahajan said she was duty-bound to take up the notices for noconfidence motion but could not as the House was not

in order. “Since the House is not in order, I will not be able to bring it… I am sorry,” she said, before adjourning the proceedings for the day. The Congress, Left Front, Samajwadi Party (SP), Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the AIMIM have extended their support for the motion. Shiv Sena, BJP’s ally in Maharashtra, said the party has not decided on its course

of action and chief Uddhav Thackeray will take a final call. Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant, however, said the party will abstain from voting. In an editorial in its mouthpiece ‘Saamana,’ Sena said the TDP’s motion has put an end to the “myth” that the BJP-led central government has an unshakable mandate for the next 25 years. It, however, alleged that TDP’s move was driven by its own political compulsions, and said the no-confidence motion will be futile as the NDA government enjoys a majority.

Urjit Patel’s speech shows the limits of regulation

Nirav Modi case has once again opened a chasm between the finance ministry and the Indian central bank. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Urjit Patel said in a powerful speech last week that various legal constraints make it difficult for the banking regulator to discipline banks that are owned by the government. Public sector lenders account for three-fourths of the Indian banking system, far more than in any other market economy. This is not the first call for banking regulation that is ownership-neutral. A similar point was made by the Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission as well as by former governor Raghuram Rajan in a speech in August 2016. There is no doubt that all banks should be governed by the Companies Act and the Banking Regulation Act, rather than specific acts of Parliament such as the State Bank of India Act of 1955 and the two Acts that nationalized banks in 1969 and 1979. “This legislative reality has in effect led to a deep fissure in the landscape of banking regulatory terrain: a system of dual regulation, by the finance ministry in addition to RBI,” Patel said. Finance ministry officials have hit back by saying that the RBI has enough powers over public sector banks, while it is the government that has limited oversight on operations. However, what Patel has said deserves closer attention, rather than looking at his speech as one side of a blame game being played out by the two masters of our financial universe. No regulator can evade the responsibility of not catching a fraud of this size but it is also incorrect to say that the scam at Punjab National Bank is only about lax supervision. It is now quite clear that the lender had not followed the instructions sent by the RBI to banks in 2016. The argument that Nirav Modi could milk the banking system only because the regulator was not alert could lead to calls for even more intrusive supervision by the RBI, leading to the risks of regulatory overkill. There are already early demands for what could end up being excessive intrusion. Most of the public debate in India over the past two weeks has naturally focussed on the role of supervision and regulation by the RBI. The role of regulation should be seen in tandem with three other deep problems: perverse incentives for bankers, internal controls and corporate governance. Each of these were also highlighted in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis that began with the collapse of Lehman Brothers. First, the perverse incentives at the heart of Indian banking are as follows. Bankers are often under pressure from the government to pump up lending volumes, there is little downside when the loans turn bad since the taxpayer foots the bill. Success is judged by loan origination rather than the quality of the portfolio.Second, the internal controls inside bank branches are weak, and recent global experience shows that many banking frauds take place in the grey areas where databases as well as regulatory re- - Kapilkumar M. Bollywood-Hollywood Priyanka Chopra’s colourful wardrobe is giving us some serious summer fashion goals

Mumbai: Need a off-the-runway edition of how to wear summer colours? Be it street style, a formal appearance or a glamorous red carpet ready look, Priyanka Chopra rarely fails to miss the spotlight when it comes to her sartorial choices. The Quantico actor, recently, showed us how to keep the style game strong this summer when she stepped out in vibrant monotone outfits. The A Kid Like Jake actor chose to go with a metallic silver sheen outfit for the Global Teacher Prize event, and we liked her choice of the glitzy wrap-around number from Vivienne Westwood. Stylist Mimi Cuttrell kept it easy in the accessory department and complemented the outfit with a pair of Stuart Weitzman heels. A tint of burgundy on the lips and a dewy fresh glow added finishing touches to the actor’s look. If you thought of carrying off a lemon yellow outfit was child’s play, think again. The 35-year-old stepped out in an eyepopping lemon yellow blouse and skirt set from Rochas Paris, and we think she raised the temperature a degree higher with her chic styling. The pussy-bow blouse and the knee-high slit skirt made for an attractive detailing and we like the black round sunglasses, the

actor accessorised her look with. White has come to become quite a favourite with Bollywood fashionistas, with the likes of Deepika Padukone wearing it on the red carpet as well. Chopra chose to go with an all-white pantsuit ensemble from Theory, which she accessorised with blue-tinted shades and Fendi heels. Now there’s a fashionable way to beat the sun, we think. The actor stepped out in a violet-hued dress from Nina Ricci and the simplicity of the outfit was nicely set off by the bright palette the designer chose. With a hint of a decolletage and orange heels, we like how Chopra played off the colours against each other.

Baaghi 2 song Ek Do Teen: Jacqueline Fernandez steps into Madhuri Dixit’s shoes with her sensuous moves

GNS Ag / Mumbai: The much-awaited Baaghi 2 song, the revamped version of “Ek Do Teen” starring Jacqueline Fernandez is out. Sung by Shreya Ghoshal, the song is everything you expected. It is high on energy, oozing hotness and Jacqueline’s sensuous moves will bowl you over. Its video also features Prateik Babbar shaking a leg with Jacky. The song is a tribute to Bollywood’s original Mohini aka Madhuri Dixit who has for years ruled our hearts with her iconic dance ever since she made her debut in 1988 film Tezaab and its track “Ek Do Teen”, originally sung by Alka Yagnik. While we enjoy this song, it would not be wrong to say that we still miss Madhuri’s aura on-screen. The queen of the 1990s, who aced expressions and moves of iconic choreographer Saroj Khan is going to stay etched in our memories forever, but this song is totally for the millennials and the generations to come. Calling the remixed version the next party anthem won’t be wrong. Talking about the song, Jacqueline said that it is not an attempt to match up to Madhuri Dixit who featured in this iconic track from Tezaab. “This is honestly, more than anything, a tribute to an amazing and iconic number that they gave to us, which is “Ek Do Teen Char”. And, for me as an actress, this is such an honour. I know I would never be able to match up to Madhuri

Dixit, that’s not something that I’m even going to attempt. You cannot replicate someone like Madhuri Dixit, as there is only one Madhuri Dixit. I know that this is just my tribute to her,” she said. Baaghi 2, which is the second installment in the Baaghi franchise, stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani. This Sajid Nadiadwala film follows a battle-hardened army officer in search of his ex-lover’s mysteriously kidnapped child. The film will hit the theatres on March 30.

Mohammed Shami match-fixing controversy: Pakistani girl Alishba finally breaks silence GNS Ag / New Delhi: Mohammed Shami on Monday ran into further trouble when a Pakistani woman named Alishba — who is alleged to have handed the Indian cricketer money from a UK man named Mohammad bhai — confirmed meeting the speedster in Dubai. Shami’s estranged wife Hasin Jahan had alleged that he had taken money from Alishba when he was returning home post the conclusion of India’s tour of South Africa, even laying accusations of matchfixing. Among her many sensational claims against Shami and his family, it was this particular point that forced the Committee of Administrators (CoA) Vinod Rai to look into the matter closely, with the

head of its anti-corruption body Neeraj Kumar being asked to submit a report in a week’s time. “Alishba is a Pakistani citizen and Shami claimed that she gave him money. I have never been told by Shami for what purpose that money was given. I don’t know but if he can fraud me he can fraud the country too,” Hasin said. Shami, meanwhile, had stated in an interview that his relationship with Hasin had reached a point of no return despite him doing everything within his means. After days of speculations in media, Alishba has now admitted meeting Shami in Dubai when he was returning from South Africa. Alishba claimed she has been in touch with Shami ever

since India’s shocking defeat to Pakistan in last year’s Champions Trophy final, in which they lost by 180 runs. Alishba claimed she has been in touch with Shami since. “Yes, I met him,” Alishba said. “I am a frequent flyer to Dubai because my sister stays in Sharjah. As a person, I really like Shami. As any fan that has idolised a celebrity, they always dream of meeting their idol. I had the desire to meet him (Shami) like any other fan would want to, which I don’t think is a big deal,” she added. “I respect him a lot as a person and we just became good friends...I came to know that he (Shami) was flying back home from South Africa via Dubai co-incidentally I was also travelling there going to

Reliance, other private fuel retailers double market share in 3 years

Mumbai: Private fuel retailers like Rosneft-owned Essar Oil and Reliance Industries have doubled their market share in last three years, capturing close to 7 per cent of petrol sales and over 8 per cent of diesel sales. Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, in a written reply to a question put to him in the Lok Sabha, said private companies were allowed to sell petrol and diesel in March 2002. From April 2002, fuel pricing was also deregulated. Consequently, Reliance, Essar and Shell set up petrol pumps to directly compete with public sector giants like Indian Oil Corp (IOC). In the initial years, private firms were aggressive in setting up of petrol pumps.

However, they slowed down once government control over pricing came back in vogue in 2004-05, and they couldn't compete with subsidised fuel sold by PSUs. The government freed petrol price from its control in June 2010 and the same for diesel was done in October 2014, giving fillip to fuel retailing by private firms. Pradhan said private players had a market share of 3.5 per cent in petrol sales and 3.1 per cent in diesel in 2015-16. This rose to 5.3 per cent in petrol and 6 per cent in diesel in the following year. In 2017-18, private retailers commanded 6.8 per cent market share in petrol sales and 8.2 per cent in diesel, he said.

Alishba, reportedly, had also gone to watch the India-Pakistan final in which Shami also had a heated spat with a fan. “I am one of his followers, which is how I became Shami’s friend. Top H-1B visa sponsor Cognizant tries to bury anti-white bias lawsuit New Delhi: Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp., the biggest US sponsor of H-1B visas for foreign information technology specialists, says a civil rights lawsuit accusing the firm of bias against workers who aren’t from India is all wrong. Three former employees claim they were forced out of their jobs and replaced with “less qualified” South Asians after being poorly treated by their Indian supervisors and colleagues, given unjustifiably low performance ratings and denied promotions. The company contends that what it’s accused of isn’t covered by federal civil rights law. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 “prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, but plaintiffs’ factual allegations, on their face, plainly pertain to a claim of discrimination based on national origin -not race,” Cognizant said in a court filing. It also said the complaint is clearly targeted at “visa holders, but visa-status allegations have nothing to do with race.” The lawsuit is part of a broader

backlash by white IT workers against the visa program that allows U. S. companies to bring in foreign workers for job openings they say can’t be filled otherwise. President Donald Trump tapped into this discontentment to capture the White House in 2016. Trump’s “Buy American and Hire American” executive order, signed last April, seeks to ensure that American workers aren’t unfairly disadvantaged by employers who allegedly abuse the H-1B visa program. US District Judge Dolly Gee in Los Angeles said Thursday she would rule

on Cognizant’s request to dismiss the claims without a hearing Cognizant received 29,000 H1-B visas last year, according to Homeland Security Department data, about twice as much as Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., second on the list. The biggest U. S. technology companies, such as Amazon.com Inc., Microsoft Corp., and Google Inc., are much further down the list with fewer than 5,000 sponsored visas each. TCS may have to face a class-action trial later this year in Oakland, California, by American workers who claim they lost their jobs.

GNS Ag / New Delhi: The pair triumphed over Roger Federer and Daria Kasatkina respectively as Del Potro won the first Masters 1000 title of his career, while Osaka picked up her maiden WTA crown at an event that saw many returning stars grace the field. Those hoping to enjoy a tournament full of glorious comebacks were left short, though some were more disastrous than others, while there was little to cheer about from a British perspective, but there’s no denying that Indian Wells was a huge hit. First and foremost, we

should herald new Indian Wells champions Del Potro and Osaka. The Argentine pulled off a remarkable win over the otherwise unstoppable Federer in the final, while Osaka beat world No. 1 Simona Halep, Maria Sharapova, Karolina Pliskova and Agnieszka Radwanska en route to the final before thrashing Daria Kasatkina. Federer saw a winning streak of 17 matches – his best start to an ATP season – abruptly brought to a halt by Del Potro and both he and Osaka have enjoyed steady climbs up the rankings. The 29-year-old is up to sixth on

the ATP leaderboard, while Osaka leaped 22 places to reach a career-high world No. 22. Del Potro perhaps deserves particular plaudits for beating Federer in such a hostile atmosphere, with a partisan crowd doing its best to attempt to disrupt the rhythm of the Swiss’ opponent, and he overcame the undisputed best player of 2018 thus far in one of the standout matches of the season to date. He’s taken his own winning streak up to 11 matches after securing back-to-back titles in Acapulco and California and should he stay fit, he is set for a terrific year.

New Delhi: Mumbai Indians have roped in Mitchell McClenaghan as a replacement for the injured Jason Behrendorff ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Behrendorff was slated to play in his first IPL tournament but a back problem has ruled him out completely. In his place, Mumbai Indians have brought in McClenaghan at a base price of Rs 1 crore. Behrendorff had been picked for a sum of Rs 1.5 crore during the IPL auction back in January. New Zealand’s McClenaghan had remained unsold in the auction this year but has

the experience of playing in the IPL and that for the Mumbai Indians. In the 40 IPL matches he’s played in his career, McClenaghan has picked up 54 wickets at a strike rate of 17.15. In the 2017 edition, he picked up 19 wickets at a strike rate

of 17.05 but proved far too expensive at 9.38 runs per over. Defending champions Mumbai Indian start their IPL campaign against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the tournament opener on April 7 at the Wankhede Stadium.

I would be the reason for Bangladesh's defeat. We were so close to winning in the final but because of me, we lost. I want to apologize to the fans and ask for forgiveness," Rubel was quoted as saying by Bangladesh's leading newspaper Prothom Alo. Wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik (29 runs

off eight balls) played a brilliant cameo towards the end, hitting a six off the last ball to win the final for India, who chased down Bangladesh's 166/8. Karthik came into bat with scoreboard reading 133/5 at the end of 18 overs. He announced his arrival at the crease by smoking two sixes and a four off first three balls from Rubel. In the next three deliveries, Karthik accumulated six runs which left India needing 12 off the last over. The drama further unfolded when India needed five runs in the last ball. Kathik slammed a flat six over extra cover off Soumya Sarkar to clinch the issue. The Bangladesh captain, in the post match press conference, backed Rubel. "To be honest he did not miss much of the plan when he bowled.

the first half of March have remained mostly above normal. The maximum temperatures were in the mid-30s for all the locations including the coastal areas as well. Last week, there has been very significant weather activity in most parts of the country because of multiple weather systems. The neighboring state of Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh have also experienced significant weather activities. However, Gujarat remained away from

all these activities. The only impact that could be seen on Gujarat weather was the drop in day temperatures. During this time, most of the locations experienced temperatures within normal range. During the last 24 hours, Ahmedabad recorded 37°C followed by Amreli 36°C, Vadodara 37.5°C, Bhuj 36.2°C, Kandla 35.6°C ,Naliya 31.4°C, Okha 28°C, Porbandar 34.3°C, Rajkot 35°C, Surat 34.8°C. Moving further, we now expect situation to

get even worse. By the fag end of March, mercury may even soar close to 40-degree mark. According to weathermen, no significant weather activity is predicted over Gujarat in the coming days. In fact, the nearby areas would also not see any significant activity. Thus, the day temperatures will have a tendency to rise sharply, especially in the stations deep in land. The coastal stations will too experience hot and humid weather conditions.

had in December last year approached the top court against the Allahabad high court verdict. Before the high court's order on their acquittal, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were serving life sentences in Ghaziabad's Dasna jail. Fourteen-year-old Aarushi was found dead inside her room at the Talwars' Noida

residence with her throat slit in May 2008. The needle of suspicion had initially pointed towards 45-yearold Hemraj, who had gone missing, but his body was recovered from the terrace of the house two days later. With the Uttar Pradesh Police drawing flak over a shoddy probe into the case which was making national headlines, the case was handed over to the CBI on a recommendation by the then UP chief minister Mayawati.

Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003 (COTPA 2003), for the prevention and control of diseases caused by the use of tobacco products. The move is aimed at reducing the trend

MNS workers target Gujarati signboards at shops in Thane

Thane: Activists of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have pulled down Gujarati signboards at some commercial establishments in the district. The cadres of the Raj Thackeray-led party smashed and pulled down over 20 signboards on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in the district’s Vasai area late last night, MNS Thane region president Avinash Jadhav said today. “Vasai and Thane district are in Maharashtra and not Gujarat, and we will not tolerate name boards in Gujarati anymore,” Jadhav said. on the phone. He asserted that their agitation against such signboards would continue. The Vasai police control room confirmed the incident,

but said no offence had been registered so far. The incident came two days after Raj Thackeray called for opposition unity and a “Modi-mukt Bharat” by 2019. Addressing party workers at a rally at Shivaji Park in central Mumbai on Saturday, Thackeray said, “The country is fed up with the false promises made by (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi and his government.” “All opposition parties should come together to

get rid of the BJP-led NDA government to ensure a “Modi-mukt Bharat,” he said, while reminding the audience of the BJP’s “Congress-mukt Bharat” slogan. In July last year, some workers of the MNS had protested against a jewellery shop in Dadar and a hotel in the Mahim area of Mumbai, asking them to remove the signboards in Gujarati, the police had then said. Following the protests, the two establishments removed the Gujarati signboards, they said. While the owners of the establishment did not lodge any complaint against the MNS cadres, seven of them were then arrested for “illegal gathering” in Mahim, the police had said.

tobacco addiction often ends up becoming a trigger for other drug addiction. In the last few months the state government had carried out raids at hookah bars in Jalandhar, Amritsar, Nayagaon and Dhakoli in Mohali district from where the collected samples had tested positive
