Is Bihar Grand Alliance dead? Amid the prevailing tension in the Bihar Grand Alliance, state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar resigned from his post on Wednesday even as he met Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi. Nitish Kumar’s decision to quit was taken at a meeting of JD(U) MLAs on Wednesday evening. The MLAs reportedly endorsed his decision to quit. The latest development will only widen the gap between the two parties. Meanwhile, with Nitish Kumar’s resignation, BJP’s Parliamentary Board is expected to meet today and discuss the Bihar political crisis as well. Nitish Kumar also said he had spoken to various Congress leaders, including party vice-president Rahul Gandhi on the issue. “There are many Congress leaders in Bihar. We also asked them to find a solution to all this. So now I have decided to keep myself away,” he said, adding that his resignation has been accepted by Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi. In a major development, Nitish Kumar on Wednesday tendered his resignation from the Bihar CM’s post. The big development comes after Tejashwi said that Nitish never asked him to resign from the post of Bihar’s Deputy CM post. Speaking on the big political development, Nitish said, “I tried to keep the Grand Alliance intact but can’t work in this atmosphere.” Also, Nitish said that I asked Lalu to cite information on the alleged corruption matter. “I even spoke to Rahul Gandhi,” Nitish added. The family spent these hours on the second floor of their house while about nine feet of water submerged the village. “I was that someone would come to save my baby . Finally, at eight or nine in the morning we saw the rescue teams come in. It was a nightmare for me,“

Five more bodies were found in flood-ravaged Banaskantha and Patan districts on Thursday, taking the death toll in the monsoon fury to nearly 128. In Banaskantha alone, as many as 46 people have died in the rains, which include around 17 members of the same family in Khariya village on Banas River bank in Kankrej taluka.Three bodies -one woman and three men were found in Patan district which has been badly hit by floods, collector Anand Patel
