Rajasthan Organized Crime Control Bill to be introduced in Assembly soon

The cabinet of ministers approved the draft of the Rajasthan Organized Crime Control (ROCC) Bill on Wednesday. The bill will be introduced in the assembly soon. The statement issued by the government after the cabinet meeting said that the nature of crime has changed and criminals have formed gangs and there is no specific law to deal with this.

Union Cabinet approves ₹6,800 cr deal to procure 70 HTT-40 aircrafts from HAL for Indian Air Force

The Union Cabinet has approved procurement of 70 HTT-40 Basic Trainer Aircraft from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the Indian Air Force at a cost of Rs 6,828.36 crore, the company said in a filing with the exchanges. The aircraft will be supplied over a period of six years. The HTT40 is a turboprop aircraft and is designed to have good low-speed handling qualities and provide better training effectiveness.This fully aerobatic tandem seat turbo trainer has air-conditioned cockpit, modem avionics, hot re-fueling, running change over and zero-zero ejection seats. The aircraft will meet the
shortage of basic trainer aircraft of IAF for training of newly inducted pilots. The procurement will include associated equipment and training aids including simulators. Being an indigenous solution, the Aircraft is configurable for upgrades to incorporate the futuristic requirements of the Indian Armed Forces. The HTT-40 contains approx. 56% indigenous content which will progressively increase to over 60% through indigenisation of major components and subsystems.

At that stage, during UPA 2, Kejriwal asked us to trust him because neither he nor his partners in the Anna movement were in it for themselves. They had taken to the streets, he said, only because they wanted to fight the menace of corruption. In time, most of his claims proved to be hollow. The first to be thrown off the bus (metaphorically, at least) was Anna Hazare who had been put forward as the movement’s ostensible leader. Next Kejriwal also flung all his other allegedly high-minded fellow agitators off the bus, one by one. Kiran Bedi, the Bhushans, Yogendra Yadav, Kumar Vishwas and all the others who had once appeared on TV shows talking about the battle against corruption disappeared from view. Next to go was the claim that they were all in it for the public good, not for power or position. Odisha has witnessed 245 elephant deaths in the last three years, officials said on Wednesday. Odisha’s forest and environment minister P. K. Amat on Tuesday told the Assembly that of the 245 jumbo deaths, six were killed by poachers. The minister informed the House that 47 persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in killing elephants, smuggling tusks and tiger hides. The company’s promoters who have been restrained from the securities market for their involvement are -- Shreya Gupta, Gaurav Gupta, Saurabh Gupta, Pooja Aggarwal and Varun Media. In addition, the regulator has impounded illegal gains to the tune of Rs 41.85 crore made by the entities after
misleading videos were uploaded on YouTube channels. Sebi noted that Arshad Warsi has made a profit of Rs 29.43 lakh and his wife has earned a profit of Rs 37.56 lakh. The order came after Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) received certain complaints wherein it was alleged that there was price manipulation and offloading of shares by certain entities in the scrip of television channel Sadhna Broadcast.
Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma on Wednesday said his portrayal of a food delivery person in the upcoming drama feature “Zwigato” will not disappoint fans who are familiar with his repartee and observational humour as a stand-up artist. Through Nandita Das’ “Zwigato”, Sharma said he wants to present aspects of his personality other than funny bones. “I do comedy 2 hours a day on my show, but I’m not like that for 24 hours. There are several facets to my personality, which I’d like to show. I don’t think there will be any disappointment among fans as they’ll also be keen to see what new I’m bringing to the table,” the actor told here. He was speaking at the trailer launch of “Zwigato”, produced by Sameer Nair of Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives. Recalling an incident during the film’s Asian premiere at the 27th Busan International Film Festival last year, Sharma said “Zwigato” struck a chord with the audience in South Korea. “After watching the film, people were crying there, and they didn’t even know that I’m known for comedy. So, I don’t think there’ll be any disappointment,” he added. Also starring Shahana Goswami, the movie is set in Bhubaneswar and follows the journey of a food delivery person exploring the world of the gig economy. The actor, whose film credits include “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon” and “Firangi”, said he never thought he would be part of Das’ movie. “I’ve always loved her work. I’ve watched both ‘Firaaq’ and ‘Manto’. She makes very serious, thoughtful films. So, I never thought I’d be a part of her film. The complainant filed a complaint against Anil Kumar Tulsyan, Chief Managing Director of Tulsyan Construction and Development Limited and Mahesh Tulsyan, its director, apart from Gauri. The complainant said that he bought the flat after being impressed by the brand ambassador Gauri.

Last month, petrol sales from government retail units increased by 12 per cent yearon-year to 25.70 lakh tonnes, while diesel sales rose by 13 per cent to 65.20 lakh tonnes, according to government figures.

Japanese conglomerate Softbank’s arm SVF Doorbell (Cayman) on Wednesday divested 3.8 per cent of its stake in supply chain company Delhivery for Rs 954 crore through open market transactions.Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, City of New York Group Trust, Societe Generale, BNP Paribas Arbitrage, Morgan Stanley Mauritius, Baillie Gifford Emerging Markets Equities Fund were among the buyers of shares. According to the block deal data available with the BSE, SVF Doorbell (Cayman) offloaded 2.80 crore shares in eight transactions, amounting to 3.8 per cent stake in the firm. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 340.8 each share, taking the
aggregate value to Rs 954.24 crore.After the latest transaction, the equity shareholding of SVF Doorbell (Cayman) has reduced to 14.58 per cent from 18.42 per cent stake in the company. On Wednesday, shares of Delhivery closed 1.23 per cent higher at Rs 348.40 per piece on the BSE. The SoftBank group has sunk into a deep loss for the OctoberDecember quarter, slammed by the global plunge in technology shares. SoftBank Group Corp racked up a 783 billion yen loss for the fiscal third quarter.

GreenLine Logistics signs LNG supply agreement with Baidyanath LNG

GreenLine Logistics, India’s first and only LNG- fueled heavy trucking logistics company, has entered into an LNG supply agreement with Baidyanath LNG Private Limited (BLNG). GreenLine Logistics has currently deployed its LNG fleet with leading cement manufacturers for inbound and outbound transportation of raw materials as well as finished products.
The company plans to deploy ~1,600 LNG trucks by March 2024. These state-of-the-art LNG trucks, manufactured by Blue Energy Motors, reduce CO 2 emissions by ~28%, translating to emission reduction of ~24 ton CO 2 per truck per annum, compared to conventional diesel trucks.
Over GreenLine’s planned fleet
of ~1,600 LNG trucks by March 2024, this adds up to a significant reduction of 38,400 ton CO 2 per year. BLNG is building a network of LNG refueling stations on key trucking routes across the strategically placed Vidarbha district of Maharashtra.
