Covax, the international vaccine alliance, has also not placed any orders for Covaxin.Citing good manufacturing practices (GMP) deficiencies, the World Health Organization (WHO) on April 2 confirmed the suspension of supply of Covaxin through UN procurement agencies and recommended countries that received the vaccine to take actions as appropriate.In a statement, WHO had said this suspension is in response to the outcome of WHO post Emergency Use Listing (EUL) inspection and the need to conduct process and facility upgrade to address recently identified GMP deficiencies. On facility upgrade, company sources said on Monday that none of the facilities where Covaxin is being made were designed

Amit Shah’s New Mcd Bill Spells Doom For Delhi Local Bodies Last week, Union house minister Amit Shah introduced a brand new bill within the LokSabha to unify the three municipal bodies of Delhi (MCDs). Whereas the Bharatiya JanataParty (BJP) says that the bill was brought to rid the MCD of its perennial monetary disaster,the contents of the bill and the circumstances through which it was drafted and tabled inParliament, in a tearing hurry, are a reason behind concern. They spell the death ofdemocracy in Delhi’s native bodies. First, let’s perceive the scale of the monetary disaster in MCD. The combined annualrevenue of the three firms from their income sources is Rs 6,725 crore; whereas the totalannual salary and pension, the bill is Rs 8,940 crore — a distinction of Rs 2,200 crores. Byits own account, the BJP has projected a monetary achievement from the unification of theMCDs at Rs 200 crore in 12 months — by largely lowering employees and institution prices.However, the numbers simply don’t add up.It was always evident that to improve their monetary situation, MCDs need a top-to-bottomreform. While the Delhi Government’s revenues have soared two-and-a-half times in the lastseven years of the Aam Aadmi Occasion (AAP) government, the incomes of MCD have bothstayed static or decreased. Take the case of property tax — of the 1.2 million properties inNorth MCD, about 400,000 are below the tax web after 15 years of BJP rule. Incomecollections from hoardings and commercials have declined steadily, inversely proportional tothe variety of hoardings displaying the BJP’s marketing campaign slogans for free.It is clear that the drama around presenting the brand new MCD bill in Parliament as apanacea is nothing but a grand lie. An attempt to cover the unchecked corruption andmonetary mismanagement of the MCD under 15 years of BJP rule that has left Delhi with thelegacy of the tallest garbage mountains in India, the lowest scores within the Centre’sSwachh Bharat metropolis rankings and reputation of perhaps being the most corruptmunicipal body. The writing on the wall is evident — the folks of Delhi are fed up and theBJP was gazing at yet another AAP tsunami in the MCD polls. The BJP’s subsequent stepstake away any semblance of doubt that it is ready to launch a full-fledged assault on the ideaof democracy to avoid an electoral wipe-out.For the first time, the Union house ministry wrote to the State Election Commissioner onehour before the election schedule was to be announced, asking the body to postpone theelections indefinitely. For the first time, the Election Commissioner determined it fit to“comply” with the route unilaterally and without consulting the opposition parties. It’sunprecedented that the central authorities have rushed into drafting a bill to amend a localbody Act, which constitutionally falls below the state legislature’s mandate, with no sessionwith the state authorities. And for the first time, the central authorities have sought to switchall of the features of the state authorities within the revised MCD bill with the central government, leaving no position or participation of the state government in the smoothfunctioning of the municipal body.If this bill is approved, the relationship of the Delhi government with MCD would be similar tothat of the Tamil Nadu government — a constitutional travesty that solely the BJP can conceive.The MCD invoice tabled by the Centre within the Lok Sabha makes no mention of anyreform or road map for monetary restoration. It was anticipated that the Centre would finallyput the MCD on a par with all other municipal bodies in India, which get a direct grant fromthe Central Finance commission of Rs 488 per individual each year, which provides as muchas a major Rs 4,087 crores per annum for MCD. However, the BJP continued to disclaim thepeople of Delhi this right. So as a substitute, the bill’s solely substantive amendment is toreduce the number of wards from 272 to 250. Audit Body CAG Slams Bihar For Not Utilising “Namami Gange” Mission Funds

The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) without ensuring the utilisation of previous installments released funds for next installments and as a result a huge fund of ₹ 683.10 remained parked in the savings bank account of BGCMS,” the report said.It also pointed out that the drainage system of Patna, the second largest urban centre in eastern India after Kolkata, was laid about 200 years ago.

This was the 12th increase in petrol and diesel prices by the state-owned fuel retailers in two weeks. Petrol in Delhi is being sold at ₹103.81 per litre as against ₹103.41 previously,
and diesel rates have gone up from ₹94.67 per litre to ₹95.07. Rates vary from state to state depending on the incidence of local taxation.In Mumbai, the petrol and diesel prices are ₹118.83 and ₹103.07, respectively.Opposition parties have been targeting the central government over the continued rise in fuel prices since the ending.

Force, anti-terrorist squads deployed in states, Delhi Police trainers,and female recruits across defence organisations.More than 50 women employees of the ministry participated in the session, whichcommenced on March 28, 2022. The main objective of the workshop was to make womenmindful of their security and instil confidence to deal with any unforeseen situations. Thetraining modules also taught them to be mentally strong in potentially dangerous or life-threatening situations.
