Sunvilla News: Ahmedabad Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) has announced yet another increase in the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The latest hike is of Rs 1.49 per kg. With this, a kg of CNG now costs Rs 87.38.CNG prices of the gas have gone up by almost Rs 3.5 this week itself. On Tuesday, the company had announced a hike of Rs 1.99 per kg.The price difference between diesel and
CNG is now less than Rs 5.To put this rise in perspective, last year, after a price hike on August 26, CNG cost Rs 56.3 per kg. They are taking extra pains to exhibit their loyalty to the national freedom struggle andthe National Flag. Anyone with a little understanding of history knows that neither the BJPnor its predecessors who form part of the RSS-led parivar had no role in the freedommovement, which was immensely inspired by the tricolour. All those forces committed to theRSS theory of cultural nationalism kept aloof from the national struggle for freedom. Theybranded it as a political exercise, nothing of concern for their cultural organisation.Adamantly reluctant they were, even to touch the National Flag. RSS and its followers werenever seen near the mass upsurge aroused by the flag of freedom.Decades after country's independence, they were not bothered about their approachsupportive to the interests of the British imperialism. When the whole population of free Indiacelebrated August 15 and the tricolour, they remained unmoved. For long 52 years afterindependence, RSS-BJP had never thought of unfurling a National Flag anywhere near theiroffices. They were having their own peculiar interpretations. Now, at the call of a newlyfound wisdom, RSS and BJP seem hyper enthused to champion the celebration of NationalFlag.The Prime Minister himself made an appeal to the people to begin the Independence Daycelebrations on August 13th itself. On July 22ndhe was keen to tell the people that it was onthe same day in 1947 that the tricolour flag was approved as India's National Flag. ThePrime Minister wanted all the Indians to hoist National Flag on each house. Severalfestivities to celebrate the National Flag was planned by the government. The flag code ofIndia was suitably amended to manufacture tricolour flags in huge numbers. All along its history RSS was eager to uphold a parallel view regardingthe national movement and the difference on National Flag was paramount for them. On July 14th, 1946, at a congregation of Swayam Sevaks in Nagpur, Golwalkar exhorted:"Itwas the saffron flag which in totality represented Bharatiya culture. It was the embodiment ofGod. We firmly believe that in the end, the whole nation will bow before the national flag." Inan essay titled ‘The Eternal Basis’, included in;Bunch of ThoughtsGolwalkar wrote "forexample our leaders have set up a new flag for our country. Why did they do so? It is just acase of drifting and imitating......... how did this flag come into being.During the French revolution, the French put up three strips on their flag to express the tripleideas of equalityraternit and libert.Three strips therefore held a sort of fascination forour freedom fighters also....So it was taken up by the Congress. Then it was interpreted asdepicting the unity of various communities — the saffron colour for the Hindus, the green forthe Muslims and the white for all other communities. More than 4,000 cattle have died of lumpy skin disease (LSD) in Rajasthan, a viral infection that has spread to 16 districts in the state, people familiar with the matter said on Thursday.The official said nearly 94,000 cases of the viral infection that affects cattle have been reported, which was initially detected in cattle in districts adjoining Gujarat, the epicentre of the disease, but has spread rapidly to northern Rajasthan as well.
