This is only the second time a planet has been identified in a quadruple star system. While the planet was known before, it was thought to have only three stars, not four. The findings help researchers understand how multiple star systems can influence the

Agency : New Delh Delhi Police is in the process of approaching the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), an arm of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, to block the controversial BBC documentary on the Delhi gang rape from appearing anywhere on the Internet including video sharing websites like YouTube. CERT-In is the nodal agency to combat hacking,

phishing and to fortify security-related defences of Indian Internet domain. It can block certain contents on request of government agencies if these are found offensive and likely to disrupt peace and harmony. Despite the Indian Government's objection, BBC went ahead to release the documentary on Wednesday night in the UK and also uploaded it on YouTube. The documentary has since then gone viral on

social media with multiple shares and is being widely discussed. "We are writing to CERT-In to block the documentary from being available on Internet platforms. The process has been initiated," said a senior police official. Earlier in the day, Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi said their main concern is to ensure that the documentary is not broadcast and disseminated in the country and efforts are being made to block it from appearing on websites. "...our objective is that any assertion which transgresses the penal laws of the country that assertion should not be broadcast and disseminated, particularly as far as we are concerned within the country," he said. "But we will take steps to stop its further dissemination to portals. Whatever is

being required in this case is being done," he added. Delhi Police had on Tuesday filed an FIR and secured a court order restraining the media from airing the documentary, as a whole or in parts, which contains the interview of a convict in the gang rape case, Mukesh Singh. The move by Delhi Police comes against the backdrop of the government examining options on whether to take legal action against BBC after it aired the film in the UK despite objection.

World Cup 2015 : India Ready To Face Gayle Storm Agency : Perth. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s men are currently on a high . Three back to back wins have given them the confidence to take on anybody. And Team India would love to continue with this winning spree. They will now take on the unpredictable but dangerous West Indies in their fourth group league encounter of the ICC Cricket World Cup at WACA Perth. After winless in Tests and Tri- Series in Australia, it is the different Indian team in the World Cup 2015. The batting has been positive, bowling effective and fielding sharp . The result is there to see. 76 run win over Pakistan , 130 run demolition of South African and 9 wickets crushing of minnows UAE. The wins have Put India at the top of the table and place in the quarters a

certainty. India would hope that the off-the-field controversy surrounding vice-captain and team’s batting mainstay Virat Kohli’s conduct doesn’t turn out to be a distraction. All the Indian top-order batsmen have contributed in some form or the other in the first three matches while the bowlers have silenced their critics with some solid show which makes them clear favourites against the young Jason Holder-led team. Flamboyant Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan have struck form from the start of the tournament while Suresh Raina made useful

contribution in the first match against Pakistan. Ajinkya Rahane showed against South Africa what he can do . Bat brilliantly and with aggression. Rohit Sharma missed out in the first two games but against UAE, got a decent hit out there in the middle with a half-century. The performance of the specialist batsmen have in fact covered the grey area which is skipper Dhoni’s indifferent form. Among the bowlers, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been the best with eight wickets and a mean economy rate under present field restrictions.

Govt serves legal notice to BBC for airing Nirbhaya film An upset government on Thursday served a legal notice to BBC after the channel ignored its advice and broadcast the controversial interview of Delhi gang-rape convict even as it asked video sharing website YouTube to remove the documentary as it is "very sensitive". "Yes we had informed all channels that the documentary must not be released. But BBC has broadcast it in London. (Now) whatever action we have to take, the home ministry will go ahead and do that," home minister Rajnath Singh told reporters here earlier when asked about the airing of the programme on Wednesday night. We had requested BBC not to telecast the documentary but BBC said that it's an independent organization and will go ahead with the telecast," he added, Asked what the government could do, Singh said, "I would not like to make any comment at this moment. All I can say is that whatever is required, will be done. If conditions have been violated, if they have been violated, there will be appropriate action," PTI reported. To another query, the minister said, "You keep watching, I have talked to the I&B ministry and have also written to the external affairs ministry. Proceedings are taking place." Meanwhile, communications and IT ministry told Youtube that the issue is "very sensitive" and it should review its position on the matter, and remove it from the website. When contacted, a YouTube spokesperson said: "While we believe that access to information is the foundation of a free society and that services like YouTube help people express themselves and share different points of view, we continue to remove content that is illegal or violates our community guidelines, once notified." BBC aired the documentary, containing the controversial interview of a convict in the December 16,2012 gang rape despite a Delhi court prohibiting it. BBC on Thursday conveyed to the government that it has no plans to telecast the film in India in compliance with the directive. Asked as to who was to blame for allowing shooting of the documentary, the home minister said, "there has been no failure on the part of the government." He maintained that the permission "was not given in our tenure." Singh, who gave a detailed statement on the issue on Wednesday, said, "I have said this in the Parliament also that we'll be removing all the provisions under which this permission has been given, so that a mistake like this doesn't happen in the future." He said, "If violation has been done, then the responsibility can surely be fixed to someone and if the responsibility is fixed the action will also happen." The home minister's statement came when asked whether the government was contemplating legal action against the British media giant for defying the ban. Officials had said that home ministry is also planning legal action against British filmmaker Leslee Udwin for allegedly violating stipulated permission conditions. Mixed reactions to BBC move to air gangrape convict interview:- The decision by BBC to broadcast the controversial interview of one of the December 16, 2012, gang-rape convicts despite the restraining order against its screening has evoked mixed reactions among political parties.

QUOTE “India's Daughter: Banning the film is no OF THE solution to rape malaise” - British filmmaker Leslee DAY Udwin addresses a press conference on her documentary film India's Daughter, Konkona Sen Sharma plays pivotal role Ek Paheli Leela actor Rajniesh in ‘Nyodda’, film on Aarushi murder case Agency : Kolkata Actress Konkona Sen Sharma is set to star in ‘Nyodda’, a film based on the sensational Aarushi Talwar murder case. “I have worked under Meghna Gulzar in ‘Nyodda’ and I found the role crucial and interesting. I worked with Irrfan Khan. This is a story handled sensitively by Meghna,” Konkona said on the sets of ‘Sajarur Kanta’, a Bengali thriller on Bomkesh Bakshi, where she plays the all important female lead. Vishal Bhardwaj has written the script for ‘Nyodda’, but neither the cast nor the director are willing to speak about the story line which is believed to be based on the accounts of the relatives of the 14-year old girl found murdered in her room on May 16, 2008. While Konkona, 35, and Sohum Shah play Aarushi’s parents, Tabu essays the character of Aarushi’s aunt. Irrfan Khan plays the officer investigating the case. The other film where she has

acted is ‘Lipstick Waale Sapne’ directed by Prakash Jha and penned by Alankrita Shrivastava. Konkona said in the film she found the shades quite interesting in the femaledominated role with comic shades. “I have to be choosy about roles. I am happy that directors cast me. It is the producers’ call but on my part I can’t do everything that comes my way – Hindi or Bengali,” she said. Coming to Tagoreanflavoured ‘Kadombori’ by Suman Ghosh, where she is paired opposite Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Konkona said, “This is my second on

screen appearance with Param. And we compliment each other before camera as we vibe well.” “In ‘Dosar’ I have worked with Param but that was smaller as compared to ‘Kadombori’,” Konkona said about the Suman Ghosh film based on the life of Rabindranath Tagore’s sister-in-law and her influence on the Bard’s life. The actress similarly finds her equations with family friend-actor-colleague Rahul Bose as one reason they are being pitted against each other from ‘Mr and Mrs Iyer’ to ‘Sesher Kobita’.

Akshay Kumar and Raj Kundra come together to partner in business

Agency : Mumbai Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty at one time were in a serious relationship. It was initially surprising, but finally lovely to see Akshay Kumar and Raj Kundra come together to partner in business and co-own India's first celebrity-based teleshopping channel titled Best Deal TV, that will soon be launching in India. Best Deal TV will be a fullfledged teleshopping network in Hindi that will

see many celebrities partner with the channel to co-own and create their own brands and share profits with the channel. One of the first celebrities who is excited to co-create her own brand, is the young and spunky Sonakshi Sinha. Seeing Akshay and Shilpa together during their photoshoot for the launch of their channel, I could not help but feel how both had not just moved on with their lives and families, but also

how mature they were to be partners in this new venture in such a professional way. Excerpts from a conversation with the founder team of Best Deal TV. Teleshopping business is big in the world. Raj Kundra and I came up with an idea of launching a celebrity-based teleshopping channel, where celebrities will sell products. I thought we keep running behind brands doing ads for them, helping their brands, so why not start our own brands that we can endorse? So different celebrities will come on the channel and sell and endorse brands that they will co-own with Best Deal TV. Sonakshi Sinha is one of the first celebrities to have come on board to endorse and sell her own range of products.

"I loved the script. Shonali (Bose) e-mailed it to me and immediately I wrote back to her that I loved the script. It scared the hell out of me that she could even think that I

could do this," Kalki told reporters here Wednesday at the trailer launch of the film. "The audition for this film was toughest for me," she added. "Margarita With A Straw" is a gentle coming-of-age story of a young Indian woman effected with cerebral palsy (played by Kalki Koechlin) and it also explores the sexuality of disabled people. It is the sweet and sensible water saving initiative from the entertainment industry. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Vikramaditya Motwane, Riteish Deshmukh and others are

going all out to promote a dry Holi. Even Ek Paheli Leela actor Rajniesh Duggall is all set to play dry Holi with gulal. Rajniesh spoke with World News Network and said, "The fact that we have so much water shortage in Vidharbha which is a part of Maharshtra, we should think about it and should save water for them who are even not getting water to drink. Even I will play dry Holi with the beautiful color gulal. I will request my friends and fans to please play A dry Holi rather than wasting water." The Festival of Holi is celebrated by playing with dry colours as well as coloured water. Several districts in the Western Indian state of Maharashtra face severe drought after receiving far less than their usual share of rain. When World News Network asked Rajniesh Duggall for his Holi water saving initiative and his upcoming movie Ek Paheli Leela he said, "The movie's plot seems to revolve around reincarnation, a love story of Sunny Leone (Leela) and me, which is left incomplete as one of them is murdered.

World Cup 2015: Ashwin plays trouble-shooter after Virat episode Agency : New Delhi Retail prices of leafy vegetables like spinach and other winter staples such as carrots, cauliflower and peas have shot up as much as 67 percent in the national capital over the last five days due to unseasonal rains. Retail prices of vegetables are expected to be under pressure for the next two days due to tight supplies as the wholesale markets will remain closed for Holi on Friday, traders said. However, there is no supply constraint for potato and onion, and their prices are stable, a senior Union agriculture ministry official said. "Due to waterlogging, harvesting of some vegetables has been delayed. There is 30-35 percent jump in rates of leafy green vegetables and 20-50 percent in other vegetables," Azadpur

Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) member Rajendra Kumar. Small Farmers' Agriculture-Business Consortium (SFAC) managing director Pravesh Sharma said that there is no problem in onion and potato supply. Farmers are draining out excess water from fields and logistics problems have also caused to tight supply situation in some vegetables. Mother Dairy's Safal outlets are selling potato at Rs 11.90 per kg and onion at Rs 30 per kg on Thursday. Even vegetable hawkers are selling these two commodities more or less at these rates. However the sharp jump in retail prices have been seen in leafy vegetables and some winter vegetables. The prices in unorganised markets vary in different colonies.

Agency : AUCKLAND The weather may play a role in the outcome of Saturday's Cricket World Cup match between South Africa and Pakistan in Auckland, with New Zealand's MetService predicting some heavy rain showers during the afternoon. Should the worst happen and the day-night game is washed out, Pakistan might be glad to accept a point given South Africa's recent form. In each of the last two games, against the West Indies and Ireland, South Africa has scored more than 400 runs

and won by more than 200. Pakistan's form has been far less assured. After losing their first two games against India and the West Indies, the 1992 champions have got their campaign back on track with wins over Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates. There's been only one washout in the tournament so far, the match between four-time champion Australia and Bangladesh in Brisbane. But as the World Cup progresses into the Southern Hemisphere autumn, it could become more of a concern. South Africa coach Russell

Domingo said his squad needs to be ready for anything against Pakistan. "We know that they can beat anybody on their day," he said. "We need to prepare really well and we need to make sure we respect the opposition and make sure we go through our processes really well over the next couple of days because their strength lies in the predictability of their unpredictability." He said it would be nice to bat second and chase a total, noting that Pakistan has had difficulty chasing down runs at the tournament.

Agency : PERTH Amid the furore generated by Virat Kohli's abusive behaviour with an Indian journalist, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on Thursday tried to defuse the tension by lauding the fourth estate for its support and for "taking cricket back" to the country. Although Ashwin refrained from making any comments on the 'Virat Kohli abuse episode' but it did look like he tried his best in his damage control act. "Media here are here to support us. It's very heartening to see the media turn up in huge numbers and try to support us. But I mean, this is my take on it. I think the media has a responsible way of taking cricket back home in a responsible fashion, taking cricket to the public in the way it needs to be taken," Ashwin said answering a specific question on what's his take on the media in general. Ashwin said that at times he has not agreed with

what has been reported but there have been times when media has been supportive. "There are times when I'm not happy with that, but that's my opinion. But there are other times when you support the players and it's very important to take the game forward," said Ashwin. Ashwin, however, refused to comment when asked pointedly about the Kohli incident in which the swashbuckling batsman hurled abuses at a reporter mistaking him for another scribe. "Honestly, I do not know what's happened. It's definitely not in my jurisdiction. I do not know what's happened. I'm very honest about it. I do not

know what's happened. Having said that going forward in tomorrow's game, I think we'll give it the best and see how it goes." West Indies captain Jason Holder also said, "Well, to be honest, you've just made me aware of it. I wasn't really following or aware of any problems with India." Indian cricket team director Ravi Shastri, in a recent interview termed the trination ODI series that preceded the World Cup, as a "waste of time". Asked about his take on the subject, Ashwin replied: "You know, it's very hard to take up on opinions because he said it's a waste of time.

here are usually bouncy and supportive of fast bowling. However, the mistake most bowlers make is that they pitch the ball a bit too short because of the extra bounce. You have to find that good length, that is the key to being successful here," Ambrose said. "Bowling short and all that stuff could be waste. I'm not saying you shouldn't bowl a short ball or two but more often than not, you have to pitch the ball into that good area which will force the batsman to play a lot

more." The tall former pacer was renowned for his impeccable lengths during an illustrious career which yielded 225 wickets from 176 One-Day Internationals (ODI) and 405 scalps from 98 Tests. He was particularly successful at the WACA with 24 wickets in three Tests. "Good batsmen usually leave the ball on length because more often than not the ball will go over the stumps anyway. So you have to get that length correct and that's how you will get that success here. (You shouldn't get) carried away with the extra bounce," added Ambrose. With West Indies boasting a relatively inexperienced attack, the 51-year-old also warned of the Fremantle Doctor -- a stiff breeze blowing across the WACA which often makes life difficult for bowlers.

Agency : Mumbai, Moody’s Investors Services, the global credit rating agency, has said that the inflation targeting mechanism that the Centre and the Reserve Bank of India have built into India’s monetary policy framework agreement is a “credit positive” move and will make the RBI’s monetary policy tools much more effective. Moody’s statement is seen as an encouraging sign for India’s sovereign credit rating, especially after the global rating agency described India’s recent Union budget

as credit neutral. Moody’s has assigned a Baa3 rating to India, which is its lowest investment grade. Under the inflation targeting mechanism, the government has mandated that RBI should bring down inflation to below 6 per cent by January 2016. The target for 2016-17 and subsequent years will be a 4 per cent with a band of +/ - 2 per cent. On Wednesday, RBI governor Raghuram Rajan told analysts at a conference call that the 4 per cent inflation target would be attained by January 2018.

Agency : NELSON Bangladesh would eye victory against a struggling Scotland to keep their quarterfinal hopes alive in the cricket World Cup when the two teams clash in a Pool A match in Nelson on Thursday. If Bangladesh defeat Scotland, who have lost all three matches so far, then the Asian minnows would be a win away from

the quarterfinals. Bangladesh need to win two of their last three matches and their next opponents are England, who are languishing at number six having lost three matches out of four. While Bangladesh has everything to play for, Scotland is looking to get their first win of the tournament. Their pace battery, led by Iain Wardlaw, is their biggest

asset. They lost a thriller against Afghanistan and tomorrow is probably their best chance to register a win as they next play former champions Sri Lanka and Australia. Scotland know what Bangladesh are dreaming of but they have vowed to make life tough for the Asian side. “They are expected to win this game. They want to get two points out of this game. But at the same time it’s brilliant opportunity for Scotland as an associate team to play against a full member and have the opportunity to beat a full member. We are right up for this game,” Scotland captain Preston Mommsen said.

The progress of the scheme implementation is being directly monitored at the level of Minister of State (Independent Charge) Petroleum and Natural Gas Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan. Fagani Poonam Mangla Darshan of Dakor Ranchhodraiji Mandir

Over a million devotees are today having darshan of Shri Krishna at three major mandirs in Gujarat – Shamlaji in north Gujarat, Dakor in central Gujarat and Dwarkadhish in Saurashtra region. Lakhs of devotees walk to these three mandirs every year ahead of Fagani Poonam(Holi or full moon day of the month of Fagan as per Gujarati Hindu calendar). A small Dakor town in central Gujarat attracts highest number of pilgrims on this day. People gather outside Ranchhodray Mandir in big number at 3.00 am and literally run for darshan of Ranchhodrayji as soon as gates are opened to have darshan of Mangala aarti which takes place at 4.00 am. (As the entry and exit gates are different and there’s too much rush on entry gate, thousands of

pilgrim don’t return to entry gate to take their shoes. The district administration hires a truck for transportation and removal of such shoes.) Every year, ahead of Holi, on both sides of highways connecting to Dakor, hundreds of people set up camps and offer free meal, halt, water, fruit and other services. Ranchhodray Mandir in Dakor continues to attract lakhs of pilgrims throughout Holi and Dhuleti. Dwarkadhish Mandir and Shamlaji Mandir also witness same during Holi-Dhuleti. This year, some charm is missing on roads connecting to these three pilgrim places due to hype and fear of swine flu. However inside and outside the Mandir, atmosphere is same like what it is used to be during Fagani Poonam every year.
