Is Pakistan becoming Sri Lanka? Locals experience food crisis, hoard LPG gas cylinders

Pakistan is reeling from the worst economic crisis as the country is facing a severe shortage of foreign exchange reserves. Pakistan’s exchange reserves have declined by US$6.7 billion. Meanwhile, China has also reduced its investment in the country. The country’s politics is also in shambles which has taken a toll on the economy. Recently, Pakistan’s government has ordered all malls and markets to close by 8:30 pm under its new energy conservation plans. Besides, they have also asked restaurants to shut down early to save the cash-strapped country about 62 billion Pakistani rupees ($273 million). The move comes as Pakistan struggles to quell default fears in domestic and international markets, with a $1.1 billion IMF bailout tranche stuck due to differences over the ninth programme review, which should have been completed in November. Pakistan’s energy conservation plan also included banning the production of energy-inefficient bulbs and fans from February and July respectively. According to the country’s defence minister, Pakistan’s peak summer electricity usage was 29,000 megawatts (MW) compared with 12,000 MW in the winter, mainly due to the use of fans in hotter months.Half of the street lights across the country will remain switched off as a “symbolic” gestureIn the midst of the energy crisis, people in the northwestern region of the country, that is Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province are hoarding gas cylinders, Al Arabiya Post reported. live. Deepika Padukone’s “saffron” bikini in Pathaan song Besharam Rang has reportedly been approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and its chairperson Prasoon Joshi. Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika, has sparked a major controversy ever since the release of its first song Besharam Rang. Several politicians have opposed to Deepika’s “saffron” bikini and SRK’s “green” shirt in the song, calling for its “rectification”. Now, as per a report in ETimes, the CBFC and Joshi, in their collective wisdom,

have decided to let Deepika’s saffron bikini “remain as it is in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan”. However, a source close to Shah Rukh Khan told ETimes that the team of Pathaan is considering removing the song. “It is under serious discussion,” the source said. Earlier, it was reported that Deepika Padukone’s viral “side pose” in a plunging gold swimwear, the close up shot of buttocks and visuals of sensuous dance movements during the lyrics ‘Bahut tang kiya’ were removed or curtailed and replaced with “suitable shots”. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) previously advised to

implement several changes to Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Pathaan’. In an official statement, sent out to the media, CBFC chairperson Prasoon Joshi said, “Pathaan went through the due and through examining process as per the CBFC guidelines. The committee has guided the makers to implement the advised changes in the film including the songs and submit the revised version prior to theatrical release.

Rahul Dravid hints at end of the road for Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma in T20Is

Agency News : New Delhi The talks of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli being eased out from the shortest format were already there after India’s T20 World Cup exit from the semi-final. They found wind when both the stalwarts were not named - Rohit was injured - in the India T20I squad for the three-match series and now head coach Rahul Dravid has given strong hints of building a young team keeping the next T20 World Cup in 2024 in mind. Dravid did not name anyone let alone Rohit and Kohli but he was quite clear that India have decided to look ahead in T20Is. The former India captain also added that much of the focus of the seniors will now be in the ODI format, considering the 50-overs World Cup is towards the end of this year at home. ”For us, obviously, from the last semi-final (in the T20 World Cup) that we played against England, only 3-4 boys are playing in the XI (against Sri Lanka). We are slightly in a different stage of looking at the next cycle of T20, so ours is a slightly younger team and for us to play against the quality of Sri Lanka is a fantastic experience. The good thing is that a lot of focus is on the ODI World Cup and World Test Championship, so the T20s give us the opportunity to try out these guys,” Dravid told reporters after India lost to Sri

Lanka in the 2nd T20I in Pune. Dravid is right. From the Indian XI that played against Sri Lanka on Thursday, only Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, and Arshdeep Singh were the ones that were part of the team that suffered a 10-wicket loss to England in the World Cup semi-final last year.Hardik Pandya has led India in the two T20I series that they have played against New Zealand and Sri Lanka since the World Cup. The selectors haven’t made an official announcement about Hardik’s elevation but it is likely that he will continue to lead in most of the T20Is going forward. When asked about India’s performance, Dravid said the team management, fans and all others will have to be patient with this young team as they are likely to have an off day like they did in the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka, losing the match by 16 runs. ”Nobody wants to bowl wides or no-balls, in this format it can hurt you badly. We’ve got to be patient with these young kids. There are a lot of young kids playing, especially in bowling, and they will have games like this at times. We need to understand that. We try to help them technically, we support them and create the right environment. They are very skillful, they are learning. It’s tough to learn on the job in international cricket, so we must be patient,” he added.

Women must acknowledge every part of their body and nurture it : Vidya Balan

Actress Vidya Balan has called upon every woman to acknowledge her body. The 44-year-old, who has essayed roles in more than 40 movies, was speaking at the 65th All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Kolkata on Thursday. “A woman derives such a large part of her identity from her body.
