For the renaming of Rajpath, PM Modi’s Independence Day commitment of “removing traces of colonial mindset” is being cited as a reason. While ‘raj’ means

“power” or “regime”, ‘kartavya’ means “duty”. According to the government, it symbolises a shift from Rajpath being an icon of power to Kartavya Path being an example of public ownership and empowerment. Rajpath was witness to the dawn of India’s Independence, and hosts the annual Republic Day celebrations. The entire stretch has been revamped under the Modi government’s ambitious Central Vista redevelopment project. Area around India Gate has not just been spruced up but the vibe will change too — towards a more organised setup.

“Digital Detox” Fasting To SUNVILLA SAMACHAR Stay Away From Internet, Nitish Kumar‘s Delhi Visit Has Helped The Smartphones Editorial

Cause Of Opposition Unity Against Bjp

Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar's talks this week in Delhi with most ofthe leaders of the anti-BJP opposition parties have been very helpful in paving the way forunderstanding of the need for a joint front of the parties who are committed to removeNarendra Modi Government from power in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.Only eighteen months are left for the next Lok Sabha elections and that way Nitish has beenable to bring some optimism in the thinking of the anti-BJP masses who want the saffrons tobe defeated but are not getting any confidence in the state of preparedness of the oppositionparties at the moment. The positive response received by Nitish Kumar to his appeal from allthe opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal should facilitate theprocess of forging a sort of unity of the political parties to take on the BJP and its allies in thecoming Lok Sabha elections.Apart from the Congress and the AAP leaders, the JD(U) supremo had talks with the NCpresident Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav,JD(S) president H D Kumaraswamy, the CPI general secretary D Raja and the CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury. But his meeting with INLD chief Om Prakash Chautalaand the Haryana leader’s endorsement of Nitish Kumar’s stand had special significance.BJP got all the 10 Lok Sabha seats from Haryana in 2019 elections. Since then, the BJP’sstrength has declined in the state. It will be important for the opposition to see whether it ispossible for the Congress to have any understanding with the INLD to take on the BJP inHaryana. Similarly, Nitish’s discussions with the CPI(ML) Liberation general secretary DipankarBhattacharya have special significance. Bihar chief minister knows Dipankar’s role in helpingthe forging of Mahagathbandhan in Bihar before the 2020 assembly polls. The CPI(ML) got12 seats in the assembly polls the largest among the three left parties. Dipankar can play avery important role in national level in organising the alliance of the anti-BJP parties before2024 Lok Sabha polls. The most important issue which has been cleared is that there is not going to be any thirdfront, there will be only one front and that will include Congress. But this does not mean anyelectoral front. The anti-BJP electoral front will vary from state to state depending on therespective strength of the anti-BJP parties. The ground political reality in the states is sovaried that any talk of total joint front of the opposition against the BJP in 2024 polls, will onlyspoil the efforts of minimum achievable unity before the polls. The next important point is that there is no need for projecting any opposition leader as thePrime Minister candidate before the polls and the common inimum programme also can bedrawn up after the 2024 poll results are out. The issues concerning PM candidate and CMP will be relevant only if there is a hung Parliament. If the BJP and its allies get majority again, all such exercises before the polls, will be futile.Interestingly, for the opposition, some positive developments are taking place. The BharatJodo Yatra launched by the Congress from September 7 has the potential to generate bigenthusiasm among the Congress masses and its cadres. After all, the Congress has a votingstrength of minimum 20 per cent in the country's electorate. Similarly AAP supremo ArvindKejriwal is going ahead with his own programme for Making a Mahan Bharat aimed atexposing the BJP. Both can help in meeting the challenge of the BJP in the propaganda warcurrently on.It is no coincidence that the BJP high command under Home Minister Amit Shah discussedthe plan of action for 2024 Lok Sabha polls on September 6 and identified 144 seats forspecial focus which they lost in 2019 elections. They worked out the strategy on how toretrieve many of these losing seats. BJP is in a backfoot because it has lost most of itspowerful allies in the Hindi-speaking heartland. Especially, the loss of JD(U) and the SADhas given a big jolt to the saffrons electorally. BJP& s strategy is to keep the losses from itsexisting 303 seats at minimum and make up this loss from the gains from last year& s losingseats. But this BJP strategy can be ably challenged by the opposition parties if they movewith a flexible electoral - Kapilkumar M. Hirpara strategy from state to state.

Covishield vaccine is not detrimental to male fertility potential. A team of Indian fertility researchers at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal who looked into changes in sperm quality in vaccinated individuals found that their fertility was unaffected. Concern about fertility impairment after vaccination is one of the reasons for vaccine hesitancy in the population. Some men have delayed taking the COVID vaccine thinking that it would have a negative impact on their fertility and the quality of their sperm. The research team managed to recruit 53 men who provided semen samples prior to receiving the first dose of their vaccine, after observing 2 to 7 days of abstinence.
