Regrettable that govt, judiciary not adhering to timelines in filling up HC vacancies: Par panel Agency News: New Delhi Amid a standoff between the government and the Supreme Court Collegium over the appointment of judges, a parliamentary panel has asked the Executive and the Judiciary to come up with “out of box thinking” to deal with the “perennial problem” of vacancies in high courts. The departmentrelated standing committee on Law and Personnel in its report tabled in Parliament on Thursday said it is not in agreement with the comments of the Department of Justice in the Union Law Ministry that “time for filling up of vacancies of judges in the higher judiciary cannot be indicated”. The timeline has been drawn in the Second Judges Case and also in the Memorandum of Procedure (MOP) regarding the appointment of judges, it pointed out. “But regrettably, those timelines are not adhered to by both, the Judiciary and the Executive, which is leading to delay in filling up of the vacancies,” it lamented. It said as per the data provided by the government, as on December

31, 2021, there were three high courts of Telangana, Patna and Delhi where vacancies were more than 50 per cent and 10 HCs where vacancies are more than 40 per cent of their respective sanctioned strength. “These all are large states, where judge to population ratio is already skewed and such level of vacancies is a matter of deep concern,” the panel headed by senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi observed. The government and the Judiciary, the committee noted, “should come up with some out of box thinking to deal with this perennial problem of vacancies in the HCs”. The committee also said that it is “surprised” to note that the Supreme Court and the government have failed to reach at a consensus on revision of the Memorandum of Procedure (MOP) for the appointment of judges to the Supreme Court and the high courts, though the same is under consideration of both for “about seven years now”. The committee expects the government and the Judiciary to finalise the revised MOP, which is more efficient and transparent.

Delhi LG grants sanction Maharashtra: Uddhav faction to prosecute key accused in Deals’ case hits out at PM’s ‘short-term ‘Sulli Agency News: New Delhi politics’ remark Delhi Lieutenant Governor V Agency News: Mumbai

The Shiv Sena (UBT) on Sunday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on short-term politics not helping the country and questioned the manner in which the Bharatiya Janata Party formed a government with the faction led by Eknath Shinde in Maharashtra. The PM made the statement while addressing a gathering in Nagpur earlier in the day after launching and inaugurating projects worth Rs 75,000 crore. He said the “country’s development cannot take place through shortcut politics” and that “some political parties are trying to destroy the country’s economy and people should expose such politicians and parties”. Terming the statement as “funny”, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi said “short-term politics is undermining the Constitution, the federal structure of the country, democracy and agencies to form illegal and

unconstitutional government”. In a reference to the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government getting formed in June after a rebellion in the Uddhav Thackeray-led outfit, she said, “You (BJP) could have waited for five years for elections and then got your majority. But what you have done is a result of short-term gains, short-term politics and short-sightedness that damages constitutional morality.” She further claimed Maharashtra currently had a CM whose party was not even registered. Post the split in the Shiv Sena, Shinde’s faction is called ‘Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena’,.

K Saxena has granted sanction to prosecute the main accused in the ‘Sulli Deals’ case in which Muslim women were “auctioned” online. Aumkareshwar Thakur (26) will be prosecuted under section 196 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which pertains to prosecution for offences against the State and for criminal conspiracy to commit such offence, sources said on Sunday. Police need the LG’s sanction to prosecute the accused under CrPC 196. Thakur, who has studied Bachelors in Computer Applications (BCA) from IPS Academy in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, had allegedly created the Sulli Deals App and Sulli Deals Twitter handle that auctioned Muslim women on social

media platforms with the aim of insulting them and the Muslim community. Hundreds of Muslim women were listed for “auction” on the mobile application with photographs sourced without their permission and doctored. The police had registered a case on July 7, 2021, and Thakur was arrested in January this year. “The LG is of the considered view that a prima facie case is made out against the accused, and therefore, the sanction is granted for prosecuting him,” a source said.

Indian startups see huge 35% drop in funding, edtech among worst performers Agency News: New Delhi As the funding winter deepens amid growing layoffs, India saw a massive 35 per cent drop in funding this year, from $37.2 billion in 2021 to $24.7 billion (till November in 2022) and edtech startups saw a significant 39 per cent drop compared to the same period last year, a report showed on Thursday. The significant drop in funding is attributed to a decline in latestage investments, which fell by 45 per cent from $29.3 billion in January-November 2021 to $16.1 billion for the same period this year, according to data provided by Tracxn, a leading global market intelligence platform. Seed stage rounds also experienced a contraction and dropped by 38 per cent as compared to the previous year. The report said that 22 startups entered the unicorn club in the reported period, as compared to 46 in the previous year. The number of big ticket ($100 million and above) funding rounds dropped by 35 per cent to 55 as compared to 85 in the reported period. The number of funding rounds saw a drop of 30 per cent, from 2,647 last year to 1,841 this year, the report said. BYJU’s raised $1.2 billion in 2 such more than $100 million rounds, followed by VerSe and Swiggy, raising $805 million and

$700 million, respectively. Earlier this week, foodtech platform HealthKart raised $135 million in a funding round led by Temasek, with participation from A91 Partners and Kae Capital, somewhat breaking the worst funding cycle. “The funding winter, which began in Q4 of 2021, will persist in 2023 as well. In order to survive the drought, startups are taking unit economics more seriously, which has been illustrated through the series of mass layoffs that have occurred this year,” said Neha Singh, CoFounder, Tracxn. Led by the edtech sector, Indian startups have laid off more than 16,000 employees to date, and the number is only growing. Singh said: “Although we are currently experiencing a slump, the situation is prompting startups to establish clearer and more sustainable paths to growth, as investors’ evaluation metrics begin to emphasise good profitability over growth at all costs.” This year saw enterprise applications, fintech and retail emerge as the top performing sectors in terms of funding.

this winter? Start with this lentil-vegetable soup Winter is here, and the holiday season is upon us. Lower temperatures mean we spend more time indoors, and our body gets less sunlight. This also makes it difficult to follow a healthy diet. Instead, curling up under a blanket and enjoying winter treats is tempting — season’s celebrations are often centered around food. There is also a reduction in physical activity. And this increases the likelihood of gaining weight. But there’s more to it than just weight gain. Winters can compromise our immunity, cause mood swings, and make us hungrier than usual. Healthy fats, winter vegetables and fruits, and more time in daylight can help you stay healthier. Overeating during winters is generally related to mindset and opportunity. Early evenings and icy weather are cues for snacking. Craving for comfort foods is also driven up by lesser sunlight exposure, particularly salty and sweet foods. Lower sunlight exposure results in a drop in serotonin levels, a neurotransmitter linked to depression. Low levels of serotonin is associated with mood swings and food cravings. The change in cross-talk patterns between our gut microbiome and brain could also explain increased food cravings. Dopamine and serotonin are happiness neurochemicals produced in our guts. The release of these neurotransmitters triggers a sense of happiness and contentment. Exercise and exposure to sunlight also produce these neurotransmitters. The lack of sunlight and exercise during winter makes us reach for comfort foods in order to feel happy. Changing seasons may affect hormones that control hunger, appetite, and satiety. Glucocorticoids – leptin and ghrelin – that drive hunger-appetite cycles are affected by seasonal changes, according to a 2013 review. Another study from 2005 showed that participants, on average, consumed 86 more calories per day during winter than during spring. They were found to be eating more saturated fats too. Increased hunger during the colder months may also be related to evolution, according to some scientists. Because primitive humans lacked food and were more likely to succumb to hypothermia. In 2016, researchers from the University of Exeter found that people overeat subconsciously during winter - Kapilkumar M. Hirpara and cannot avoid gaining weight.

On the 95th day of the yatra that entered Rajasthan on December 5, Rahul Gandhi enjoyed bullock cart ride from Kotkhurd village to Deikheda village on Kota-Lalsot highway on Sunday morning. When the former Congress chief started his padyatra from Baldevpura village, he noticed a bullock cart carrying a group of farmers waving to welcome him. “Rahulji came to the cart and interacted with the farmers. He also listened to their grievances,” said Mahaveer Meena, a local Congress leader who was present

on the cart with the farmers. “I requested him (Rahul Gandhi) to ride the bullock cart, after which he climbed up on the cart, held reins and drove the cart for around 500 metres between Kotkhurd and Deikheda village on his way to Laban village,” Meena said. Rahul spent around 10 minutes on the cart, he said. Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi and Robert Vadra joined Rahul Gandhi during the march in the evening from Laban to Lekhari railway station in Bundi district. Actress Divgangna Suravanshi and actor Siddharth Thamboli also reached Bundi on Sunday evening and joined the yatra, district Congress vice-president Charmesh Sharma said. The BJP’s Delhi unit vice president Virendra Sachdeva has been appointed acting president. The Aam Aadmi Party ended the BJP’s 15-year-rule in the Municipal of Delhi (MCD) poll in results announced on Wednesday. The AAP won the elections with 134 seats, while the BJP bagged 104. “The resignation of Adesh Gupta as Delhi BJP president has been accepted as per the direction of BJP national president Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda. Delhi unit vice president Virendra Sachdeva is being appointed working state unit chief till the next order,” the BJP’s national general secretary Arun Singh said in a communication. overhaul in the Delhi BJP had begun immediately after the party’s loss in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections. Amid the clamour for change, Gupta had in a meeting on the result day, asserted he was not going to give up to “conspiracies” against him. Gupta’s performance has been under the scanner since he took charge as president of the Delhi BJP in June 2020. Under his leadership, the party failed to win bypolls to some MCD wards in 2021 as well as the Rajender Nagar Assembly bypoll. According to some Delhi BJP functionaries, Gupta’s resignation does not mean much as he was anyway nearing the end of his term. The organisational elections of the national BJP are scheduled to be complete in January 2023. BJP leaders said the party constitution mandates organisational restructuring should be done in 50 per cent of state units ahead of changes in national organisation, they added.

Govt aims to meet disinvestment target this fiscal Agency News: New Delhi Government aims to complete the first tranche of proceeds from Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) during the current fiscal, a senior finance ministry official said on Friday. This, he said, would help the Centre meet its disinvestment target of Rs 65,000 crore for the current fiscal. Speaking at a summit organised by CII, secretary in the department of investment and public asset management (DIPAM) Tuhin Kanta Pandey said that the government is working on offer for sale (OFS) for Hindustan Zinc. He indicated that some stake dilution is likely to happen this fiscal. Pandey further said that stake sales of IDBI Bank and Concor would take time and may not be completed this year.

At the current market cap, the government’s stake in HZL is worth nearly Rs 35,000 crore. However, since the stake sale will happen in tranches, the Centre may get some portion of the expected receipts in the current financial year itself. The Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) has so far raised Rs 62,000 crore from stake sales and dividends.

Agency News: New Delhi The IndoPacific region remains important for the economic development of not only the region but also of the wider global community, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said. Centuries old sea lanes crisscrossing the region have helped enhance trade, he added. Singh was delivering a keynote address at the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue-2022 in New Delhi. He said that the global community has been working towards economic development through multiple platforms and agencies, UN Security Council being the foremost among them. What is now required is to elevate the paradigm of collective security to a level of shared interests and shared security for all. It is my firm belief that if security becomes a truly collective enterprise, then we can think of creating a global order, which is beneficial to all of us. We have also been espousing the idea of multi-alignment. We believe in a multi-aligned policy, which is realised through diverse

engagements with multiple stakeholders, so that views and concerns of all can be discussed and addressed for a prosperous future for all, the minister said. Singh said that the strong and prosperous India would not be built at the cost of others, rather, India is here to help other nations realise their full potential. We should strive to create a win-win situation for all. We should not be guided by narrow self-interest, which is not beneficial in the long-run, but by enlightened selfinterest, which is sustainable and resilient to shocks. They have also functioned as arterial connections to bring about a fusion of cultures and ideas. The key industry stakeholders led by industry body Nasscom, during a meeting with IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, have emphasised that the draft Digital Personal Data Protection Bill 2022 will bolster India’s narrative as a trusted global partner for all invested in digital transformation. In the meeting, attended by Alkesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary MeitY, along with startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), provided their initial feedback and suggestions on the bill to the IT Minister last week. Vaishnaw said that as the PDP Bill gets finalised, on crossborder data flows, the government will ensure that the approach focusses on strengthening data protection without disrupting data flows. The industry felt that a framework prepared in consultation with government departments, sectoral regulators, and public consultations, should provide a clear, proportionate and

enabling framework, Nasscom said in a statement on Monday. Industry welcomed the retention of forward-looking concepts, such as the consent manager, to enable citizens to effectively manage their consent. The IT Minister said that the PDP Bill will be designed to redress concerns and complaints regarding data protection in a manner that the mechanism is accessible and effective for every strata of the society. “A good idea for startups and technology providers to offer their feedback will be to test the Bill against their specific usecases to identify gaps, if any, and provide suggestions accordingly,” Vaishnaw told the industry stakeholders.

Tobacco control coalition in K’taka seeks hike in taxes on tobacco products in Budget 2023 Agency News: New Delhi Consortium for Tobacco Free Karnataka (CFTFK) and Karnataka NO for Tobacco (KNOT), a coalition working on cancer prevention, youth protection and tobacco control, on Monday urged Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to hike taxes on all tobacco products in the 2023 union budget. They have also sent representation letters to the Members of Parliament from Karnataka urging them to take steps to increase the tax on tobacco products like cigarettes, bidis and chewing tobacco. According to them, hiking tax is needed to reduce its affordability among the youth, who are the main target of tobacco companies. They recalled that the government has not hiked tax on tobacco products ever since the GST regime in 2017. The present GST rates combined with the compensation cess for all tobacco products is far below the recommended level of the tax burden of 75 per cent by the WHO (World Health Organization). The total tax burden is currently only about 53 per cent for cigarettes,

22 per cent for bidis and 60 per cent for smokeless tobacco. “We recommend the union government to hike tax on tobacco products in the budget 2023-24 as tobacco products have become more affordable over the years. This is one of the most powerful yet under-utilized tools to control tobacco usage. When the taxes are tripled, revenue can be doubled and tobacco consumption can be halved.A This is a great opportunity to levy additional tax on tobacco to make it less affordable and reduce consumption” said renowned Oncologist Dr Vishal Rao, who is also a member of the Karnataka government’s High-Power Committee for Tobacco Control.

SPORTS - BUSINESS Two-goal lead vanishes, so Argentina do it the hard way Agency News : New Delhi

Argentina almost did it the easy way. For a while, Lionel Messi and his teammates were coasting. They had a two-goal lead against the Netherlands, and just a few minutes to see out. They were comfortable. And then, all of a sudden, they were not. They got there in the end, of course, but it would not be Argentina if there was not a little suffering. It had all seemed like such smooth sailing. Argentina had won a victory of sorts even as their battalions of fans, decked out in sky blue and white, were still filling the steep, banked stands of the Lusail Stadium: a few miles away, Brazil had been eliminated by Croatia, Argentina’s fiercest rival and the most intimidating obstacle on their route to the final vanquished in one fell swoop. Barely a couple of hours later, the second victory seemed secure. Messi had created

Argentina’s first goal, threading a pass of delicate brilliance into the path of Nahuel Molina, and scored their second, converting a penalty after Marcos Acuña had been tripped by Denzel Dumfries. As Messi stood in front of Argentina’s fans, his arms outstretched in front of him, as if waiting for their gratitude for the gift he had bestowed upon them, many in the crowd would have allowed their thoughts to wander to next week, to the meeting with Croatia, or even a little further still, to what they have come to refer to as “la tercera”, the country’s third World Cup. The prospect felt, in that moment, less of a fever dream than ever.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag said he only discovered that Cristiano Ronaldo wanted to leave the Premier League club after the forward’s explosive, in which he said he did not respect the Dutch manager. In the with Piers Morgan last month, Ronaldo also said he felt betrayed by the club and added that he had refused to come on as a substitute in a Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur because he felt“provoked” by Ten Hag. Following the interview, United announced that the Portugal international, who rejoined the club in August 2021 after winning eight major trophies with them from 2003- 2009, would leave with immediate effect. “He wanted to leave, it was quite clear. And when a player definitely doesn’t

Google is reportedly working to speed up install times of software updates on Pixel smartphones. Earlier, installing an OTA (over-the-air) update on a Pixel smartphone required at least 10 to 15 minutes of downtime due to the device’s repeated restarts and booting into recovery mode, reports AndroidPolice. The tech giant has been adjusting the update procedure ever since the debut of Seamless updates with Android 7.0 Nougat (Android operating system). With the help of these upgrades, the Pixel now downloads a software update in the background on a secondary virtual system partition and switches to it with a reboot, cutting down the total downtime to a few minutes. Morocco beat Portugal, take All flair and dazzle, Brazil Apple’s AR/VR headset wonder what went wrong may arrive in late 2023 Africa into first Semifinal

Agency News : New Delhi Morocco beat fancied Portugal 1-0 on Saturday to become the first African team in World Cup history to reach the semifinals. Having never previously been in contention for football’s biggest prize, Morocco had seen off Belgium and Spain this time

before packing off Portugal, thanks to a first-half header from Youssef En-Nesyri. Morocco’s storybook run has seen millions of Arabs, Muslims and North Africans coalesce behind a single team in a way this tournament has not seen before. In the semifinal, they will meet France, who beat England 2-1. Fans who had hoped for a Messi-Ronaldo final will be left disappointed. While Argentina are in the semifinals, Portugal’s elimination ended the World Cup career of 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo. After the final whistle, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was seen crying as he walked off the field and into the tunnel.

On the sideline at Education City Stadium, forward Richarlison stared ahead. Pedro, another forward, hunched over with his hands on his knees. And the superstar Neymar, the man responsible for Brazil’s go-ahead goal, started crying, then sat at midfield and cried some more. Stunned and heartbroken, Brazil’s players struggled to process what had just transpired on the field and how they had blown a 1-0 lead against Croatia with 15 minutes left in extra time. Without a shot on goal to that point, Croatia pried the game from the jaws of defeat, tied the score in the 117th minute

and then beat a leading World Cup favourite, 4-2, in a penalty shootout in the quarter-finals on Friday. After going 105 minutes without scoring, Brazil’s talented attack finally broke through a tough Croatian defence. Suddenly, it felt like all the pressure on Brazil had been lifted, its joy had returned and it just needed to play keep-away for the second period of extra time. But, then, it all unraveled so quickly and Croatia, the wily 2018 World Cup finalist who have excelled at winning penalty shootouts in the knockout stage, were victorious once again. As Richarlison walked toward the team bus and stopped to talk. his eyes were still bright red from the earlier tears.

Apple’s in-development mixed-reality headset could see its launch extended from early 2023 to later in the year due to software issues. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the company’s AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) headsets may delay until the second half of 2023, reports AppleInsider. He tweeted: “My latest survey indicates that the mass shipment schedule of Apple’s MR headset maydelay to 2H23 because of software-related issues (vs. the previous estimate of 2Q23).” However, Kuo did not mention

what these issues could be, but they may relate to its operating system, known as realityOS or xrOS, according to the report. The delay appears toaffect only the mass shipment of finished goods, rather than manufacturing itself. According to Kuo, component shipments will still take place in the first half of 2023, possibly in the second quarter.

Samsung receives 2 cloud security int’l standard certifications Agency News : New Delhi

Samsung Electronics announced that it has acquired two cloud-related international standard certifications, which confirms its information protection and system operation capabilities. Samsung Electronics has cleared ‘ISO 27001’ (Information Security Management System) and ‘ISO 27017’ (Cloud Service Information Security Management System) established by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and certified by British Royal Society of Standards, the company said in a blogpost. The MX division, which is in charge of mobile devices like smartphones, has attained this certification, proving the superiority of the management system and information security of ‘Private Cloud’, which is run independently for services like

terminal software updates. One of the most recognised certifications in the field of information security, ISO 27001, was created in 1999 and is based on the BSIdefined ‘Information Security Management System (BS7799)’ standard. “Samsung Electronics spared no efforts by securing cloud technology and strengthening its security capabilities,” said Ahn Giljoon, vice president, mobile platform center at Samsung Electronics’ MX division. “We will continue to work hard to make it happen,” he added. Information protection policy and access control are just two examples of the 133 management requirements that must be achieved in order to receive the certification. ISO 27017 can be attained only when the cloud service environment and information protection management are created and run by international standards.

BOLLYWOOD-HOLLYWOOD Ayushmann hopes ‘strong word Ranveer feels comedy is diffiof mouth’ helps ‘An Action Hero’ cult genre, calls Rohit Shetty ‘king of comedy’ snowball its theatre footfalls Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana’s recent movie ‘An Action Hero’ may not have opened well at the box-office but the ‘word of mouth’ seems to be bringing some respite to the film which also stars Jaideep Ahlawat. On Monday, Ayushmann took to his Instagram to share a long note talking about how the film has been put together by first time storytellers and how it deserves audience love. The note has been undersigned by Ayushmann and the film’s producer Aanand L. Rai. It starts off in Hindi with enlisting the many firsts, including the first time talents, involved in the film like the director Aniruddh, writer Neeraj Yadav, composer Parag’s first theatrical film and cinematographer Kaushal Shah. The note then progresses into showing how the duo of Ayushmann and Aanand have always tried to break the clutter with their cinematic efforts. It reads, “As a team, we are always aligned and inclined to try and cause creative disruption. From ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ and now ‘An Action Hero’, we have tried to give audiences something new to savour and discuss through our brand of cinema. So, we are humbled with all the positivity and the ‘strong word of mouth’ surrounding ‘An Action Hero’. We hope this snowballs into more and more people coming to the theatres.” The note further spoke about their knack for bringing fresh stories to the fore, “We have always wanted to tell stories differently and back projects that are fresh, that are unique & clutter-breaking. We are grateful for the love that’s coming our way for ‘An Action Hero’. It validates our stance of walking the road less travelled, to take risks and hopefully contribute to making our industry a more diverse storytelling entity.”

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, who hopes to set his box-office performance on track with his upcoming theatrical film ‘Cirkus’, feels that comedy is the most difficult genre to pull off forboth actors and directors. In the same breath he complimented his director Rohit Shetty as the “king of comedy” at the song launch of ‘Current Laga Re’ in Mumbai on Thursday. However, the statement can be debated as Indian cinema has directors of the likes of Priyadarshan and Anees Bazmee as well. Ranveer also showered praise on his wife Deepika Padukone and mentioned that her character of Meenamma from the 2013 Shah Rukh Khanstarrer ‘Chennai Express’ is his all time favourite character of her. The actor said, “I think out of all genres comedy is a very difficult one to pull off. It is the litmus test for any actor or a storyteller because if you miss the beat for the punchline it can collapse in no time Lauding his director, the actor mentioned, “My humorous side comes out the best when I work with Rohit Shetty because he is the king of comedy and has been doing it for close to 16 years now.” After facing the heat at the boxoffice with colossal flops like ‘83’ and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, Ranveer is looking to swing back into action with ‘Cirkus’ which lands in cinemas on December 23, 2022. Rupali Ganguly, who is currently seen playing the titular role in the show ‘Anupamaa’ talks about the ongoing track where Anupamaa is helping the rape victim in fighting her battle for justice. The actress says that raising such issues is quite important and she is fortunate to be part of a show which is trying to give out a strong message. She says: “I feel very very proud that I am a part of a show which raises the issues about which people cringe to talk about. People want to kind of put topics under the rug and forget about them. I am glad that we are raising issues that need to be brought forth. My producer is very gutsy to pick a subject like this. The entire point was to bring people out of their comfort zone and say ‘Hey, this happened. And what better to say than to say it through Anupamaa?” Rupali, who became a household name with shows such as ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’, ‘Sanjivani’, ‘Baa Bahoo Aur Baby’, and many more, shares further that the current track is meant to motivate people to understand the importance of opening up about such abuse because hiding it is not going to resolve any problem. “The idea behind bringing up this topic was that such things have been happening for years but still talking about such things has been considered a taboo with our current plot. We want people to be comfortable talking about such things,” she adds. ‘Anupamaa’ airs on Star Plus.
