A total of 90 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Gujarat in the last 24 hours, as per a press release shared by the Gujarat Information Department on Wednesday. There has been a substantial rise in the number of Covid 19 cases detected in the state again as on Monday there were 45 new covid 19 cases. Pieces of woman’s body found inside tank, daughter held for murder

A curative petition is the last remedy available to a litigant before the top court after exhausting options such as an appeal or a writ petition followed by a review petition. In the Bhopal case, no review petition was filed and the apex court made an exception by allowing the Centre to submit a curative petition.A five-judge bench ruled that it was the responsibility of the government to make good the deficiency in the compensation and termed as “gross negligence”

The plea filed by advocate Mahesh Kumar Tiwari cited the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data published in 2021 on accidental deaths in India which claimed 1,64,033 people died by suicide across the country that year. Out
of these, 81,063 people who ended their lives were married men, while 28,680 were married women, the petition said.“Around 33.2 per cent men ended their lives because of family problems and 4.8 per cent due to marriage related issues in the year 2021. Taking serious note of the alleged leak of question papers of recruitment tests by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan’s office has sought a detailed report from the constitutional body over the issue by Thursday night.The case of question paper leak regarding the Assistant Engineer (Civil) exam conducted by the Commission was on Tuesday transferred to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Hyderabad Police for further investigation. The Raj Bhavan, under the instructions of the Governor, has written a letter to TSPSC secretary.

Of the total deals, M&As saw significant downtrend both in terms of volume which fell 48 per cent to

While M&As were dominated by cross-border deals, particularly outbound transactions on the back of one big-ticket transaction of $578 million, volume continued to be dominated by domestic consolidations accounting for 67 per cent of transactions. The pharma, healthcare and biotech, and IT and ITeS sectors led the deal activities with 17 per cent and 13 per cent of the volume, respectively, followed by the automotive sector thanks to the Autosystemtechnik’s acquisition by Motherson International for $578 million.

Veteran actor Sameer Khakhar passed away in the wee hours of March 15. The actor was best known for playing the role of Khopri in the TV show Nukkad. He also starred in movies such as Salman Khan’s Jai Ho and Sidharth Malhotra’s Hasee Toh Phasee.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has appointed Salil Nath as General Manager of the Indian Subcontinent.Based in New Delhi, Salil will be responsible for all commercial activities across a key cluster for the Etihad network within the central region - India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives & Seychelles.
