The film earned Rs 15.73 crore nett in India on the opening day.

PhonePe, one of India’s largest fintech platforms, on Friday said it has raised an additional USD 200 million in primary capital from Walmart, at a pre-money valuation of USD 12 billion.This new funding comes as a part of PhonePe’s ongoing fundraise of up to USD 1 billion in capital, following its domicile shift to India last year. With this tranche, the company has raised USD 650 million (around Rs 5,360 crore) from several global investors, PhonePe said in a statement.

The USD 12 billion pre-money valuation makes Walmart-owned PhonePe the most valuable fintech in the country, surpassing payment services provider, Razorpay which was last valued at USD 7.5 billion.

PhonePe competes with Google Pay and Paytm.“The company expects further investments, which will be announced in due course,” the statement said. “PhonePe plans to deploy these funds to build and scale new businesses like insurance, wealth management, lending, stockbroking, ONDCbased shopping and account aggregators.” The fundraise will also help PhonePe turbo-charge the next wave of growth for UPI payments in India, including UPI lite and Credit on UPI.Speaking on the fundraise, Sameer Nigam, CEO and Founder of PhonePe said.

The case that the movie is inspired by was resolved a decade ago in cooperation with Indian authorities and an agreement between all the parties involved. This movie is a fictional representation of the case.” He also said that he has been in India for nearly four years and experienced “first-hand the deep-rooted pride Indian take in their cultural heritage and rightly so’. He also spoke about how Indians celebrate ‘annual events such as the Bollywood festival Norway, Oslo Durga Puja and the Mela festival’. He added, “I sincerely hope this movie will not discourage Indians from coming to Norway. I hope this film will be seen for what it is and I trust in the viewers to understand that this is a fictional representation. Ahmedabad registers maximum traction for mid-size office spaces in CY22: Knight Frank India

In their latest research, Knight Frank India noted that Ahmedabadthe financial hub of Gujarat recorded an upsurge in share of transactions in mid-size office spaces or spaces between 50,000 to 1 lakh sq ft from 14% of overall leasing activities recorded in CY21 to 36% in CY22.

The city recorded maximum demand for mid-size office spaces in H2 2022. Transactions for large office spaces measuring above 1 lakh sq ft remained at similar levels YoY, in annual terms. Whereas, transactions for office spaces below 50,000 sq ft witnessed a decline from 63% of overall transactions in CY21 to 42% in CY22. The development also indicates an increasing tendency of small and medium businesses looking to upgrade their workspace. Workforce returning to office in CY22 is also one of the reasons for the demand shift towards mid-sized offices. A 33-year-old Rajasthan man who lost both his hands in an electric accident 12 years ago, became the first from Asia to successfully undergo a bilateral total arm transplant at Global Hospitals, Parel, Mumbai. A team led by Dr Nilesh G Satbhai, Head of Department - Plastic, Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery and Transplant Surgery, Global Hospitals, Mumbai, performed a 16-hour grueling and complex surgery to help the patient rekindle his hopes of leading an independent life.12 years ago, Mr Prema Ram, a resident of Ajmer, Rajasthan accidentally came in contact with a live electric pole while working in the field. His hands sustained multiple electric burns. He was rushed to a nearby hospital in Ajmer, where doctors advised for amputation of both his hands to save his life. The family took him to Jaipur, but was advised the same. The patient’s family tried to get artificial limbs and prostheses, but that could not give him functional hands. Prema Ram’s hands were amputated almost at the shoulder level. This made him extremely disabled and dependent, as compared to other amputees, who lose their hands at below elbow level.
