Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is a 300bed facility and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), mammography, digital radiography and brachytherapy to treat all types of cancer using every available treatment modalities like surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and bone marrow transplant. The hospital has been built at a cost of over ₹ 660 crore by Tata Memorial Centre, an aided institute under the Union Department of Atomic Energy. The hospital will act as a territory care centre to patients not only from Punjab.

The sooner it takes place it would bebetter in their interests of BJP’s corporate friends.The failure of the earlier mission to purchase the MLAs has infuriated the BJP leadership. Itis worth recalling that a couple of weeks back five persons, including three Congress MLAswere arrested by the Kolkata police from Howrah with a huge amount of cash in theirvehicle. Though the legislators were suspended by the Congress leadership, they stillcontinue to be vulnerable. The money seized from them was part of the BJP conspiracy to topple the government. If the sources are to be believed the BJP leadership has amended its mechanism. Instead ofdelivering the money in Ranchi, it would be handed over to their link persons or friends inDelhi itself. In that situation they would not be facing the danger of getting exposed andcaught. A senior Congress national leader hailing from Jharkhand said “we are maintainingextreme vigil and keeping an eye on the movements of the leaders and MLAs. We areclosely watching the movements of the BJP leaders. We will succeed in foiling any suchfuture move”Hemant observed "Attempts to topple our government are not new. These people are not at all concerned of the plights andmiseries of the Adivasis. They believe in the RSS theory of Vanavasi and hold that the bigbusiness should be encouraged in the state at the cost of the adivasis.Only some time back JMM MLA Ramdas Soren has accused a former party leader ofattempting to topple the Hemant Soren led coalition government. He has even lodged an FIRagainst Ravi Kejriwal and Ashok Agrawal at Dhurwa police station in Ranchi. The scale of flaring in local oil and gas fields is quite high, which is a waste of a scarce energy resource and also harmful for the environment. The government is aware of the matter and looking for ways to bring this gas into the supply system through incentives, as it would involve considerable investments and, at current pricing policy, does not make any commercial sense, two people aware of the development said, requesting anonymity.
