Elections 2023: EC Appoints 60 Counting Observers for Tripura Polls

Agency News: Agartala

We have been in a perpetual state of crisis but what is happening now has pushed the country towards anarchy. It’s a free for all with state institutions at loggerheads. The so-called democratic process is all but dead, worsening our state of uncertainty. What happens next is anyone’s guess. Monday’s unilateral announcement by the president of the election dates for the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies has given a new twist to the ongoing power game. The validity of President Arif Alvi’s declaration has been challenged by the Election Commission of Pakistan that is responsible for holding polls and has pitted the two against one another. The ECP had earlier turned down the president’s invitation for consultation on election dates on the grounds that the matter was sub judice. Meanwhile, unsure about its fate, a beleaguered dispensation remains defiant and has given no indication that it will comply with the Feb 10 order of the Lahore High Court to hold elections to the two provincial assemblies within the time frame stipulated in the Constitution, thus giving rise to another round in the legal battle. Both the election body and the government are dragging their feet over elections to the provincial assemblies. The situation gives the impression that it is all part of a greater political game to block the democratic process of change that is conducted through elections. There is no precedent in our recent political history of such blatant violation of the constitutional mandate of holding elections within 90 days of the dissolution of an assembly. It has been more than one month since the governments in Punjab and KP were dissolved, but there is no indication yet of the ECP and the government fulfilling.

ISL IX: ATK Mohun Bagan’s stakes higher in Derby

ATK Mohun Bagan has more at stake when they play East Bengal in an ISL IX Derby at the Salt Lake Stadium on Saturday.Bagan, at one stage, were in contention for a top-two finish but a series of inconsistent performances have let them down. They are now third in the 11-team league with 31 points from 19 matches. Victory over their arch-rivals will ensure a top-three finish. East Bengal, on the other hand, have struggled throughout, though a tally of 19 points from as many matches is their best finish in three seasons in the top flight.“If we had converted all the chances we created this season then the scenario would have been much different,” ATK Mohun Bagan captain Pritam Kotal said at the prematch news

conference at Salt Lake Stadium on Saturday. “I guess barring Mumbai City and Hyderabad FC, all the teams struggled with consistency,” agreed ATK Mohun Bagan coach Juan Ferrando. ATK Mohun Bagan have not lost a Derby in more than three years. The two rivals have squared off seven times, including the I-League clash in January 2020 when Mohun Bagan didn’t have ATK as the prefix.Kotal has donned the captain’s armband in all six Derby clashes post-merger. On Saturday, he will partner Slavko Damjanovic since Brendan Hamill is out due to suspension.

The release of ‘Pathan’ in Bangladesh has been postponed again

Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’ is likely to become the first Hindi film to be released in Bangladesh after 10 years. However, the release of this film has now been postponed by a month. Instead of the original release in February, the film will be released in March as Mother Language Pride celebrations are going on in Bangladesh for a whole month. Hindi films are vulgar, and their songs are also ambiguous. Bangladesh banned the release of Bollywood films in 2014 citing such reasons. However, after a long discussion, the Bangladesh government was ready to allow the release of Hindi films. It was also decided that 10 films would be allowed to be released in Bangladesh every year. After that ‘Pathan’ was to be the first film to be released in Bangladesh. However, International World Mother Language Day has started every year on 21st February from Bangladesh itself and Bangladesh does not celebrate this day for a whole month. For this reason, it is known that the release of ‘Pathan’ has been postponed there again.

Rani Mukerji’s Starrer Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway Is Inspired By THIS Indian Couple’s Story

The trailer of Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway starring Rani Mukerji has created a massive buzz on the internet. The legal drama film, directed by Ashima Chibber, marks Rani’s return to the big screen after a three-year absence. She will be seen as an anguished mother who takes on a system in a foreign land. The film, produced by Nikhil Advani and Madhu Bhojani, is based on an actual incident from 2011 in which an Indian couple’s children were taken away by Norwegian welfare services. The film attempts to showcase the struggle faced by the Indian couple Anurup and Sagarika Bhattacharya in real life. The parents lost custody of their two children, three-year-old Avigyan and one-year-old Aishwarya, in May 2011, after Norwegian authorities objected to her parenting style. They accused the family of force-feeding the children as

the mother used to hand-feed food to her toddlers. They also claimed that the children lacked adequate play space. The parents were further accused of giving their children inappropriate clothes and toys. The Norwegian Child Protective Service objected to the child sleeping in the same bed as the father, insisting that the boy have his own bed.Following a diplomatic and legal spat, Norwegian authorities decided to give custody of the children to their father’s brother, allowing him to bring them back to India. However, amidst the battle, Anurup and Sagarika got separated. Therefore, Sagarika took on the fight to get back her children’s custody on her own. After a long legal battle, Sagarika was able to take her children home. The Calcutta High Court granted her custody of her daughter Aishwarya and son Abhigyan in January 2013.After winning the case, Sagarika had spoken to and had said, “It’s a huge relief, and I want to convey my regards to my well-wishers. My ordeal is finally over.

Akshay’s patriotic campaign fails: ‘Selfie’ flops from day one

Akshay Kumar has finally revealed that he is becoming an Indian citizen again after it was reported that the film ‘Selfie’ is proving to be a box office disaster from the advance booking figures. However, this propaganda of patriotism did not work either. ‘Selfie’ is proving to be a super flop with barely five to ten percent occupancy on the first day. While Akshay’s films are expected to earn around 15 crores on the first day, even though ‘Selfie’ reached a collection of 5 crores, trade circles said that the foam has come to a standstill. When the world record of taking a selfie to promote ‘Selfie’ and publicity stunts like dancing and hugging a fan in the Mumbai metro did not work, Akshay again tried for a citizenship card to strengthen his image as a Bharat Kumar. Akshay Kumar, who is always trolled because of his Canadian citizenship, said ‘Bharat mere liye sabkuch hai, maine jo bhi kamaya hai, yahan rahkar kamaya hai aur main khud ko kushnasib manta hoon ki muze lotaneka moka mila hai. Muze bad lagta hai jab log meri citizenship par question khade karte hai. Wah kisi bhi bare mein kuch nahi jaante. He tried to make an emotional appeal to the fans by saying ‘Bas Baate Banate Hai’. He claimed that he has been trying to get an Indian passport for a long time. However, this campaign had no effect. Across the country, only five to six percent of morning shows and eight to ten percent of evening shows tuned in. The first day’s earnings were estimated to be around Rs 5 crore by trade circles. On the other hand, people on social media criticized this film. Fans appealed to Akshay Kumar not to do such films anymore and to improve his selection. Many people said that watching the original Malayalam movie is better than this. Last year, most of Akshay Kumar’s films including ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, ‘Raksha Bandhan’ have been total flops.

Is SIP A Good Option To Invest In For A Wedding? Experts Weigh In

Agency News : New Delhi

You might have heard your parents worrying about wedding expenses and the rising inflation. Parents continuously worry about saving and investing for their children’s weddings. But the majority of Indian parents don’t know how to strategically invest in different schemes to get good returns. When it comes to weddings, the earlier you start investing, the better. If you are also confused about how to choose the best investment option for the wedding, continue reading this article. To calculate wedding costs, you need to take a closer look at the type of event you have in mind. Developing a financial plan for a wedding requires you to consider a few issues. How much money can you comfortably put aside for this? What percentage of the costs do you want to bear, and how much money can your folks afford

to spend? You must map your responses to these inquiries with inflation as well. Every year, the cost of catering, the location, the décor, and other non-negotiables for bridal celebrations will rise, so your budget must reflect these escalating expenses. The best method to do that is to invest in mutual funds through Systematic Investment Plans. Investment instruments with lock-in terms may be challenging because, unlike retirement, it is impossible to predict when you will get married. If you wind up getting married within the next three years, money invested in a fiveyear FD would be of little use.

Death mystery still intact: What finally happened on the day of Divya Bharti’s death?

Bollywood actress Divya Bharti was a heroine who never wanted to enter the film industry. She was born on 25 February 1974 but got bored of school and entered the world of acting. In the film world, Divya has done 12 films in a career of only 2 years. Meanwhile, he sidelined almost all the heroines of that time. But as fast as these stars shined, they also set. It is said that as fast as Divya’s career was climbing, she was intoxicated with love at the same speed. During the shooting, she came in contact with director Sajid Nadiadwala and the two got married privately on 10 May 1992. It is said that during this time Divya also converted to Islam and changed her name to Sana Nadiadwala. However, both men kept the new relationship hidden from the world to avoid affecting their careers. It is said that in the year 1993, Sajid had taken a flat for Divya on the fifth floor in Mumbai’s Versova area, but it was not in the name of either of them. Actually, Divya lived here on rent. Life was going on very peacefully but suddenly a tragedy struck. On 5 April 1993, Divya returned to Mumbai from Hyderabad. On the same day, he made a deal for a four-bedroom flat. No one knew when the day had passed in all these things. However, Divya reached her flat in the evening. She was accompanied by fashion designer Neeta Lulla and her husband Shyam Lulla. It is said that Divya, Neeta and Shyam were drinking in the living room of Divya’s house. After some time Divya went to the window where the grill was not installed. Suddenly he fell down from the fifth floor, his whole body covered in blood. He was rushed to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Even after 30 years of Divya’s death, the mystery of her death is still not solved. Initially, all the allegations were made directly on Sajid Nadiadwala in this matter. But nothing could be proved.

Divya was the victim of some tragedy or conspiracy that day, no one has the answer even today. Yes, it is only necessary that when Divya was sent away, she was sent away by decorating Suhagan.

Divya Bharti loved chocolate. As long as Divya’s mother was alive, she used to make chocolates on her birthday and distribute them to school children.
