UP Journalists Booked for ‘Fake Report’ Showing Students Standing in Biting Cold at Govt Event Acase has been filed in Kanpur’s Dehat District against three journalists of a local news channel for allegedly publishing a news report showing government school students exercising in their summer uniform – a halfsleeves shirt and shorts – in biting cold during an event last week.In his police complaint, Sunil Dutt, the district Basic Education Officer, has alleged that the journalists were not present at the event, and they “misrepresented the ‘yoga and exercise’ programme that was conducted on Sunday to mark ‘UP Diwas’, the state’s foundation day, reported The scribes were booked under Section 505 (statements conducing to public mischief) and Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC late Tuesday evening.Visuals from the programme, which was also attended by the district magistrate, a state minister and local MLAs, showed the children standing in queues in an outdoor setting, and later performing yoga poses inside a hall. However, as per the UP official’s complaint, the children were made to take off their woollens only for the exercises. “It is wellknown that yoga and physical exercises cannot be carried out in winter wear and requires loose clothing. Local education officials followed this, and made the children take off their winter clothing and wear loose and light clothes for the exercises and then all the children immediately.

The police have also filed 22 FIRs so far that mention the names of at least 10 farm leaders, including Yogendra Yadav and Rakesh Tikait. Agency News: New Delhi Two farmer unions – Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan and Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu) – Wednesday separated themselves from the ongoing farmer protesters at Delhi borders, a day after the protesting farmers engaged in violent clashes with police on Republic Day.“The farmers’ movement will continue for as long as the issue of MSP guarantee stands but not in this way. We have not come here for people to be martyred or to get them beaten up. We can’t support taking forward the movement with people who want to take it in another direction,” Rashtriya Kisan

Mazdoor Sangathan leader V M Singh said, referring to Rakesh Tikait. “We have come only to get a guarantee for MSP.”The Delhi Police Wednesday detained around 200 protesters on charges of rioting, damaging public property and attacking police personnel during the Republic Day violence on Tuesday. The police have also filed 22 FIRs so far that mention the names of at least 10 farm leaders, including Yogendra Yadav and Rakesh Tikait. Security has been tightened in several places across the national capital especially at the Red Fort and farmer protest sites, with

the deployment of additional paramilitary forces following the violence. After two months of peaceful protests on Delhi’s borders and 11 rounds of negotiations with the central government, the Republic Day tractor parade spiralled into chaos Tuesday. One protester died when his tractor overturned while ramming a road barrier at ITO, and scores were injured, as mobs resorted to violence and vandalism while forcing their way to the Red Fort and hoisting their flag there. As the night fell, the Red Fort was secured, the flags removed and protesters made to vacate the premises.

Chudasma said the decisions apply to government, private educational institutions. Thedecision has been taken to in the interest of the students so that they do

not miss teaching. And the decision could be taken only because of reduction in number of coronavirus cases. He said the preparation to restart educational activity in higher classes in Standard 9 and11 as well in Final Year in colleges has begun.Since college hostels which were converted into Covid-19 Care Centres during the peakcases of coronavirus are getting fewer patients, he said, a decision will be taken soon aftethe Health and Education Secretaries submit their report about complete sanitization ofsuch hostel premises and handing them back to the State Government.

Congress blames Home Minister Amit Shah for ‘collapse’ of law and order, demands removal Agency News: New Delhi The Congress has picked up its act of questioning the central BJP leadership over the violence that unfolded in Delhi’s streets on January 26 as chaos reigned during the farmers’ Republic Day tractor parade.Congress national spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala on Wednesday said that Home Minister Amit Shah was to be held accountable for the violence, a result of the “collapse” of law and order in the national capital, and demanded that the Home Minister be dismissed from office. Surjewala pointed out that the national capital Delhi was witnessing violence unfolding on its streets for the second time within the span of one year. This is in reference to the communal violence which took place in Delhi on January 2020, around this time last year.“Union Home Minister Amit Shah is responsible for the violence that unfolded on the streets of Delhi during the farmers’ protests,” the press note issued by Surjewala read.“This is the second such incident of violence within the span of one year. For failing to stop said incidents,

Amit Shah should be removed from his office,” it further stated. The Congress spokesperson said that if Amit Shah is not dismissed from his post, it will be ‘proved’ that all these acts of violence was carried out in connivance with the Prime Minister himself. Surjewala said that yesterday’s event was a ‘violent conspiracy’ to defame the farmers’ movement. Further, the Congress spokesperson said that instead of filing cases against the miscreants responsible for the violence, the government is now filing cases against farmer leaders. “This proves that the incident was carried out with the conspiracy to defame the farmers’ movement. When the Modi government failed to forcibly remove the farmers, it had to be fraudulently removed,” Surjewala claimed

all Spirit counts. This was more than cricket. These youngsters reflected the attitude, belief, and spirit of our nation. I was inspired enough after this win to look up the personal journeys of these youngsters. Every single story is one of sacrifice, struggle, and intense dedication. None of them had it easy given the sheer numbers and depth of talent in Indian Cricket but because of this very reason, they demonstrated the resilience to handle the pressure. Getting a permanent slot in the Indian test team is increasingly getting harder and this was evident in the way these youngsters played. They are reflections of India’s new found attitude that is creating an ecosystem of youngsters with

tremendous resilience, and they take chances - not just in cricket - but across all fields. These youngsters are a reflection of the fundamental principle that it is only those that are fearless about consequences and take the risks that deliver outsized results. Our Gabba win is a testimony of a broader attitudinal change. Talent that takes risks will get to the top in a field where competition is intense. After all, to rise and shine within a population of 1.3 billion is no easy task. The Indian start-up world now has over 27,000 startup companies.
