A Historic $44 Million Investment in SUNY Poly

In November 2023, Governor Kathy Hochul and SUNY Chancellor John B. King, Jr. announced a $44 million State investment in SUNY Poly, which will expand the current health science wing and update nursing labs in Donovan Hall, as well as create a semiconductor processing lab for workforce development, and a robotics, advanced manufacturing, and engineering research and education lab.

The Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP), funded by the New York State Department of Education, aims to increase the amount of underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in science, technology, engineering, math, and health-related fields. CSTEP provides structured services which contribute to the academic and professional success of STEM students.

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at SUNY Polytechnic Institute provides access, academic support, and financial assistance to first-time, full-time students who show promise for succeeding in college but may need additional support.

The SUNY Poly Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics for Engineering and Engineering Technology Programs (S-STEM) provides financial support and additional resources to help talented students with demonstrated financial need to successfully complete an undergraduate degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, mechanical engineering, or mechanical engineering technology. NYS STEM Incentive Program

The NYS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering + Math) Incentive Program provides full tuition awards to SUNY Poly students who are NYS residents, in the top 10% of their high school graduating class, and are pursuing an approved STEM degree program.

NYS Excelsior Scholarship Program

The NYS Excelsior Scholarship Program in combination with other financial aid programs, allows students who are NYS residents, and whose families earn $125,000 or less annually to attend a SUNY college tuition free.
