Te Learning Center in the Learning Commons

1st foor, Begley Building. 518-381-1249, TutorServices@sunysccc.edu Drop-in Tutoring: Te Learning Center provides walk-in academic support to students across a variety of content areas, such as math, science, writing/research, accounting, CIS, music, American Sign Language, and more! Support is available in each tutor zone through individual sessions with professional and peer tutors, study groups, and workshops. Not sure if you need a tutor or just looking for a quiet place to do your assignments? Come visit us! A tutor is nearby if you decide you need some additional support. One-to-One Tutoring by Appointment: 1:1 in-person tutoring is provided to students wanting to meet with a SUNY Schenectady tutor consistently each week on a regular basis. Academic Services provides free tutoring for both part-and fulltime SUNY Schenectady students enrolled at the College. Directions on how to sign up for a 1:1 tutoring session via Upswing is available on the Learning Commons website. Online Tutoring: Academic Services provides the option to receive one-to-one tutoring online via Upswing. Both SUNY Schenectady and Upswing tutors are available to support students in a wide variety of content areas, ofen 24/7. Students who need a tutor while of-campus, on the weekends, or for a course we don’t have an in-person tutor for are encouraged to utilize the online tutoring option. Academic Services provides up to three hours per week to SUNY Schenectady students enrolled at the College. Directions on how to sign up for a 1:1 online tutoring session via Upswing is available on the Learning Commons website. * Drop-in, one-to-one, and online tutoring are available for free to all SUNY Schenectady students enrolled in the current semester! Additional Learning Commons Features: Computers, scanners, and printers are available for student use in the Learning Commons. Students are also invited to use the Learning Commons’ presentation practice space(s) and group study rooms to enhance their course preparedness! Adaptive computer technology is available for students with disabilities.
