KRO – the Swedish Artists’ National Organization comprises 3,200 professional visual artists. Together with KIF – the Association of Swedish Craftsmen and Industrial Designers – they represent their members in political issues concerning their financial and social situation. SFF – the Swedish Photographer’s Association is a nonprofit organization for professional photographers in Sweden. The MU contract is the collection title for the deal with the government concerning artists contribution and compensation in an exhibition starting from 1 January 2009. The new and historical in this deal is that the artist also is getting payed for the work surrounding an exhibition.

Nordic Art Association, Swedish Section is managing the Nordic Residency Studio Malongen. Malongen is situated at Nytorget in the Söder district, a nice and lively area in the centre of Stockholm. The building, dating from the 1670’s, houses several other studios for artists.
