Lateral ArtSpace – independent platform for contemporary art – was initiated in April 2012 as an experimental platform for young and emerging artists which emphasises the dialogue between local and international artists. The gallery aims to promote contemporary Romanian artists, as well as to introduce international artists to the Romanian audience. Lateral ArtSpace assists and promotes the development of solo exhibitions and group projects, together with a programme of events that includes performance, video screenings, public gatherings, book/magazine launches and artist talks.
