Hello! I am an Interior & Furniture designer who is a recent post graduate from MIT Institute of Design, Pune. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. As a design intern in Store Indya, I had the opportunity to work and explore different utility based furniture with context to Indian crafts. My interest in art & design began at very early age. In schools and college, I used to participate in different art & stage decoration at different events. These interest insisted me of doing career in Interior designing. I like to play with forms & structures exploration. The sector which I am more interested in working are Hospitality, Retail, Education, Outdoor spaces & furniture, but I am open to diiferent avenues. I like to create spaces & furniture that would make other people happy which keeps me motivated. I look forward to learn a lot more of the Industry in a more real

FLAT PACK CHAIR
Flat pack chair is a minimalist design. The chair can be disassembled to fit inside a small flat box. The assembling itself requires minimal instruction, easy to assemble , ship the furniture compactly and efficiently as possible.

TOY STORAGE To design a storage for kids for keeping their toys and other stuff in order to reduce clutter in the room

The expandable storage furniture is inspired from kids train toy

USAGE The expandable module can be removed and flipped upside down for the toddler or the older kid to use as seating .
The storage can itself act as a medium of playing for the kids. The kids according to their imagination can use the furniture in different possibilties of playing.

FLOWY - SEATING To design a furniture by taking bird, flower or animal/ reptile which has Indian mythological or cultural relevance for the project. Design the furniture with the help of form abstraction (2D and 3D, generation of motifs/ patterns/ tessellation) considering the chosen cultural attribute.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL SPACE DESIGN The main objective was to understand the space ,different activities and function in the space, problems ,planning and designing the selected space accordingly.

To Re-design ladies apparel and handicraft store of Ethnicity brand in Amanora Town Centre by focussing on to increase the crowd footfall in the store and giving the user a different shopping experience.

PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION General observations made at the site :

No visual merchandising for handicrafts & other products in the store Ambience of the store was not welcoming and not giving idea of the brand
The previous location of the store was improper and was not easy to locate in the mall. After detail observation and analyzing of the crowd flow in the mall, thus, solution was proposed for change of the location of the store.The shops of Mothercare & ElC, Soie and Sketchers were combined for new location of Ethnicity store.
The new location is selected by taking into consideration the crowd flow, direction during weekends & weekdays, festival season, viewing direction of the store from atrium, all entry points and top floors. The Fig D shows viewing direction of the crowd .

An interactive hangers will be used in the store . This hanger has sensor installed in it and when a customer picks up the hanger coordinated images & videos, apparel feautures, explanations of materials etc is displayed on the monitors. When you take the hanger in hand, the subconscious movement is the reslut of an action of wanting to know more about the apparel which gives the customer a different experience. Display

DOMESTIC SPACE - USER CENTRIC DESIGN To study the domestic space of the user and design the space for him. Domestic space are living spaces that embody personal & family oriented priorities dealing with integration of relationship between different activities , users and space. 4 weeks To design a 2 BHK studio apartment (80 sq m) for Client (Ram Kulkarni) by studying his profile, characteristics and thus designing the space accordingly.
The apartment is in Mumbai. It will also have a office for Ram. The office will designed keeping in mind the User’s social and personal life. Primary User : Ram and his mother Secondary user : Ram’s office assistant

EXPERIENTIAL DESIGN I was given to work on the story. We had to interpret the story in our way and extract moral to give experience in the space for kids
DESIGN BRIEF Karadi Tales is launching a new series of story books of Aesop’s fable in the form of interactive zone and activities which will make kids experience the moral of the story launched in the zone. To design the interactive zone space which will be there in the existing book store for a month.
