Executive Summary Your client is the manager of the health and fitness gymnasium located at New South Wales TAFE's Randwick Campus. The gymnasium is equipped with a wide range of state of the art fitness equipment and is a dual purpose facility whose customers includes students of TAFE's health and fitness courses and members of the public attending classes and individualised training programs. The gymnasium's equipment ranges from traditional equipment e.g. stationary bicycles, barbells etc. to highly sophisticated special purpose machines. The client wishes to evaluate the potential of using Internet and CD/DVD delivered training programs that will ensure the safe and correct use of its equipment

Client’s requirements The client is proposing to provide to customers with a digital media training product to promote the client’s fitness studio and the safe and correct use of its equipment by customers attending classes and individualised training programs. The client’s needs a narrated video tour of the fitness studio that highlights the equipment groupings, Information on the rules for using the studio with a scenario-based training application to enable customers to test their knowledge of these rules in a variety of situations, Images of a range of equipment for exercising a selected muscle group (Legs, Arms, etc.) and a quiz for matching the equipment required to exercise specific muscles within the group. There will also be WOW Factor and a quiz muscle/equipment matching game in the project. Realism in simulated situations will be achieved using a range of digital media that includes text, graphics, photography, audio and video. The scenario-based training will be accessed by an optical disc (CD/DVD). The client has nominated the Randwick College's web site's style guide as a style guide to adopt for this project.

Analysis of the target audience The target audience for the project is mostly students and teachers in Randwick TAFE. Their age range is from 16 to 60. The result that we want to achieve for the target audience is to let them know more about how to use the equipments in the gym. We think that the target audience’s wants lots of information on how to use the equipment correctly for the correct muscle. We think that the audience wants creative design and outstanding information in our product. Our target audience might be students that will become a GYM trainer in the future, so it is very important that we will give them accurate information about the equipment that we will introduce, and the target audience might have the abilities to know some knowledge about the equipment, if the information is outdated, we might give the target audience wrong information which will lead to a bad situation. The audience will be mostly living around the surrounding area of Randwick TAFE campus. We propose that our product will be delivered to the target audience by an optical disc (CD/DVD).

Project Purpose To design and develop a Scenario-based training prototype to ensure all customers use the health and fitness equipment safely and properly whilst attending classes and training programs. The aim of the prototype is to allow customers to choose from suitable equipment in order to become familiar with its use through virtual demonstrations. They will show the customers how to properly exercise specific muscles, while allowing them to use the machine safely and correctly.

Recommendations In order to achieve the goal of developing a prototype by the required date, I recommend that we should be doing everything on time schedule, or else we will be in a risk of falling behind in the development. Because that we have a 3D model in the project, so we suggest that we should design the model on schedule and also over time.
