IN THE FROW .... AT SFW/22

We’re here at the glamour drenched gala - Surrey Fashion Week 2022 - to bring you the latest fashion news, views and show reports.

Three hours before the show kicks off, it’s a hive of frenzied activity; everyone is buzzing. Seriously, if you think watching a fashion show is a surreal experience, try going backstage. This is where it all comes together!

Multi-armed hairdressers and MUA’s waving brushes perform their magic as their models wait patiently in line. We head for the back of the room where the fashion hangs in all its glory. Great clouds of chiffon and organza billow amongst slogan T-shirts and sequin gowns sit alongside cosy knitwear. The textures, the shapes, the colours- sartorial heaven.

We love championing local independent brands and boutiques, so it’s great to see so many local businesses showcasing their AW22 collections here today.

As the celebrities rock the runway, we’re seated FROW, ready to relay everything you need to see from the catwalk, and the trend takeaways for the new season........ here goes!

Who doesn’t love a celestial print. Reach for the stars in this matching star struck knitwear for you and your better half. Not sure who looks cuter, model Ava Mitchell or the sweetie K9 rescue dog!

Incredibly stylish and easy to wear, we’re loving this jumpsuit. The off-shoulder, Bardot neckline emphasises the nipped in waist. So much softer than black, these muted colours are great for blondes too.

Orange is the new black! This playful T-shirt adds a burst of brightness to the greyest of days. Wear it with black or navy or make a splash with a brighter blue, and also khaki.

This is the smart way to wear checked trousers without looking like a golfer. Create interest by teaming with a jacket and waistcoat in similar hues. Result; totally stylish and effortless.

The Interiors Edit

A mainstay in our wardrobes and a budding new neutral – akin to leopard print – florals are seasonless. This tone-on-tone long sleeved maxi dress with blossoming bouquets will look just as beautiful paired with boots for the colder months as it does in high Summer.
