The Kingscliff hotel underwent a £100,000 refurb in November to expand its restaurant offering with a brandnew ‘Lounge’ and outside dining experience, the ‘Pod’.

Similar to the restaurant in concept and design, the Lounge is unique with wallpaper adorning the ceiling and high-end artwork as finishing touches. It also includes a bespoke Bang and Olufsen sound system which doubles up as artwork. The Lounge offers a relaxed dining and drinking experience whether it be entertaining friends or celebrating a family birthday celebration. There’s a new menu launching for the summer which also includes a brand-new tapas menu letting you enjoy those tasty dishes in sharing portions with friends and family alike. New music and event nights are in the planning, so watch this space. The Pod is an outdoor dining experience that caters for up to eight people in any weather. It has both heating and air conditioning, so come rain or shine, a booking can still go ahead.

It offers a stylish and comfortable environment, with panoramic sea v iews – which nothing else in the area can offer. So far, the feedback has been amazing, with multiple bookings already in place.

Creating the wow factor!

‘Hi, I’m Hollie, the general manager here at the Kingscli Hotel. I’m really excited and can’t wait to welcome you all back to the hotel. As you may have noticed, there have been a couple of changes that we have worked really hard on over the past six months, including our Lounge and outside Pod. is refurbishment is a continuation of our main restaurant refurbishment which opened in summer 2019.

e main purpose of the Lounge is to make our guests feel more comfortable and so that they have another space to eat and drink with their friends and family. It is also very exciting as we can hold live music nights and more themed evenings without disturbing our main restaurant. e Lounge caters for around 40 guests, however, if the style is more relaxed, we can cater for more.

e Pod came at the same time and launched in December 2020. It had a great few weeks before we had to shut, however, I am very excited to have this back open. It is the perfect space for private parties of up to eight people with a great atmosphere, lovely lighting, music and great views of the seafront too. e Pod is perfect for any guests, especially for groups of friends and family parties. We cater from our main restaurant menu, provide a ernoon teas and also o er a bottomless brunch menu. It is a great feature in the garden, it looks the part and creates a wow factor for anyone walking by. I cannot wait for the team and guests to come back and bring the buzz back to the Kingscli Hotel.”
