A Special Invitation-Save the Date! Year-End Party on Saturday, June 11th, 3pm at the Silver’s Home in Benson Ben and his parents, Tobi and Morris, have generously invited the Gailer School Community (including the families of all students, faculty, staff and board members) to a year-end celebration at their home in Benson. Come hike, play horseshoes, badminton, bocce ball, croquet, volleyball, or just sit and enjoy the view and good company of our community! The Silvers will provide “grillables” and drinks. Please bring a dish to pass, and RSVP ASAP to Kitty at office@gailer.org with how many will be in your party.
Directions From Middlebury, take Route 30 to Cornwall. Turn right on to Route 74 and follow until you reach Route 22A in Shoreham (large Mobile Station will be on your left). Turn left onto Route 22A and travel approximately 14-15 miles to Benson. You will go through the flashing light in Orwell about half way to Benson. In Benson you will pass the left turn for Route 144 and continue to the intersection of Route 22A and Lake Road. There is no traffic signal or stop sign, but there will be small green signs for Benson and Benson Landing on your right and a sign on the left that says "Welcome to Benson...just over the hill". Turn right onto Lake Road at this intersection and travel approximately 1 mile to the 4 corners (4-Way Stop, Wheel Inn Restaurant on your right). Turn left at the stop sign onto Stage Road and proceed up the hill. The driveway to the house is at the top of the hill less than half a mile up on the right and unmarked, just before the Speed Limit 40 sign. KEEP GOING to the next driveway on the right, which is our office/guest house and is where the parking is located. It's a longish driveway that comes to a Y when you get to the building. There's parking on either side of the Y. Once you park, follow the tiki torches and the path on the north side of the building through the field between the office and our house. If you are coming from locations south of Middlebury you can take the Leicester-Whiting Road from Route 7 to Route 22A or you can take Route 73 from Route 7 in Brandon to Route 22A in Orwell.
