Experience Sole Practitioner Principal Architect Susan Driver Architect - Brisbane QLD 2001 to present • Principal Architect with focus on high end housing design - scope from concept and planning design and documentation through to furniture design and art selections • Commercial Interiors - design and specifications • Restaurant Interiors - design layouts, schedule of finishes, furniture selections and artwork selections As the principal designer in a small practice, I have worked on high end residential up to $3M locally. Within these projects I have designed, documented and tendered and completed contraction management. I have designed architectural concepts through to interior design including furniture selection and design. Throughout projects I have successfully allocated project budgets, with focus on maximising impact whilst aiming to achieve client expectations and needs. I have managed all back of house administration, record taking, client meetings/presentations, brief and specification development. I have worked within many team environments with a collective aim to realise client projects, this has been largely achievable through the ability to develop sound briefs and management of a diverse range clients. Responsibilities  - Client meeting to ascertain design scope, determine the objective and resources  - Maintain a strong relationship with the client with open communication  - Development of a project brief outlining the scope of work, budget and schedule  - Prepare freehand sketches and design presentations.  - Selection of Finishes and integration of other specialists as required to achieve a unified outcome  - Designing, developing, coordinating and achieving authority approval  - Lead design meetings and reviews  - Coordinating with consultants and contractors  - Oversee checking of project documents.

Architect dKO Architecture - Melbourne VIC 2000 to 2001 • Assisted Senior Design Partner • Coordinated and worked with Inhouse interior designer on selection and planning • General Design work and client submissions including mood boards and modelling Working with dKO in a team environment I was flexible across all design aspects. My role was to work with the architectural design director and senior interior designer as a design assistant. Additionally, I was involved in prepping design sketches and presentations for client meetings both commercial and residential.



Architect Agenti Architects - Brisbane QLD November 1990 to November 1999 • Working in a two person sole practitioner's office from a position of undergraduate to qualified registered architect. • Full time position scoping drafting, detailing, design and specification on residential and large commercial projects in addition to practice administration. Working in a sole practitioner's firm I worked within a documentation and administration capacity from the beginning. I was required to exercise initiative and met whatever challenges I was presented with. I had significant exposure to site challenges, client brief development, sourcing of materials and finishes. For a period I was the sole point of contact within the office and was able to take on this role based on proven high levels of judgement and the ability to prioritise workloads.

I have worked closely with stylists, brand strategists and PR firms to build exposure and relationships within Australian fashion and design industries. I have supported Australian brands with Jewellery across events at all national Fashion weeks. I have become familiar and worked with programs such as Adobe Creative and edited and run the brands back of house website.

Project Grange Residence Date 2021

Renovation of and addition to an existing 1940s home in Grange, Queensland. Retention of original elements of the home, whilst extending with a contemporary addition at the rear. It was important to keep empathetic proportions, high ceilings and open up with a connection to the north facing yard. This property is a family home, light filled and relaxed with generous spaces to allow the family to grow within. Scope of works was design, documentation, schedule of finishes and specifications including joinery design and custom wine store, through to final integration with landscape architectural design.

Project Kobble Creek Residence Date 2021

The existing property, an old town hall moved to an acreage block fifteen years ago in Kobble Creek. Outgrown by its family with a desperate need for a parent’s retreat and opening to the only useable green space whilst maximising air flow through the the living an dining. The master addition touches lightly to the original, ensures privacy from family and friends and looks to the north over scrub and dam. Scope of works was design, documentation, schedule of finishes and specifications including joinery design.



Project Highgate Hill Residence Date 2005

The original mid century Queenslander with house that Jack built extension. With a strong desire to keep a low key street presence and open up the rear of the property to the views, breezes and family of five living. This home is a combination of preserved and enhanced traditional Queenslander with suspended slab, concrete and blockwork three level window to Brisbane. Scope of works was design, documentation, schedule of finishes and specifications including joinery design and custom furniture design, through to final integration with landscape architectural design. Contract administration was also engaged.



Project Newmarket Residence Date 2010

Left in its original state and neglected, this home had the potential to address its place in Newmarket to the front and capture Brisbane City views to the rear. Scope of works was design, documentation, schedule of finishes and specifications including joinery design and custom wine store, through to final integration with landscape architectural design.



Project Mt Ommaney Residence Date 2021

This Mt Ommaney project was call to reclaim a neglected outdoor zone which had become unused and unloved. A north facing corner of a large block the design looked to integrate a contemporary minimal roof and outdoor bbq and sitting area with an original 1970s brown brick home. This was then to connect the upper outdoor living to a low maintenance pool area (also refurbished) to entice the teenagers back out of the home and into the outdoor zones. Scope of works was design and preliminary schedule of finishes.
