2014 Seminar Speaker Breeding For Genetic Improvement Dr. David Notter David Notter is Emeritus Professor of Animal and Poultry Sciences at Virginia Tech. A native of Ohio, he received a B.S. degree in Animal Science from The Ohio State University, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Animal Breeding and Genetics from the University of Nebraska. He joined the faculty at Virginia Tech in 1977. At Virginia Tech, his research focused on the genetic control of seasonal breeding and parasite resistance in sheep and the development of genetic evaluation procedures for sheep, alpaca, beef cattle, and meat goats. He directed the U.S. National Sheep Improvement Program Genetic Evaluation Center at Virginia Tech from 2000 through 2010 and produced the first EPDs for U.S. alpacas in 2008. The goal of his research program is to apply principles of quantitative genetics to the improvement of livestock and provide genetic evaluation services to livestock producers.

Little Creek Farm Alpacas At Little Creek Farm/Accoyo America, we produce seed stock Huacaya alpacas bred for prepotency in the production of elite fleece characteristics in their offspring, including uniformity, fineness, density, and low medullation. We employ line breeding to help “lock in key genetic traits and rely on a host of quantitative measures to assess the quality of our outcomes and accelerate the advance of our breeding effort. Our goal is to provide the stock that will underpin the development of a profitable fiber market by improving the quality and processing characteristics of the huacaya alpaca clip to match those offered by other premium natural fibers, particularly cashmere. We are the annual host of the Parade of Champions, the premier alpaca seedstock auction in the U.S., and active participants in a broad variety of market development efforts. We love the alpaca business, and our clients are also our friends.

Hello Alpaca Enthusiasts! Shirley and I have been involved in the alpaca industry for the past 17 years. Our 107 acre ranch is located near Culver, Oregon, approximately an easy two hour drive from Portland. If you have an opportunity to visit our ranch, you will have the pleasure of viewing over 500 head of huacaya alpacas grazing in our lush, irrigated pastures. They are an accumulation of the most proven quality genetics gathered up across the U.S.A. and Canada. Our objective has always been to produce alpacas with high fleece weights, and low micron in solid color. The majority of our herd consists of Accoyo/Peruvian bloodlines. We believe in maintaining strong hybrid vigor while at the same time ensuring that we are breeding for excellent conformation and type. As well, we want to maintain the following critically important reproductive traits; an abundance of milk, easy to rebreed, quiet gentle
POC14.FINAL.indd 7
personality. We refuse to breed genetic traits into our herd that will compromise these goals. All of our bred females are sold confirmed pregnant by ultrasound and with live birth guarantees. On package deals we offer discounts and reasonable finance terms, and if possible, we will transport your new alpacas to your farm. We are very excited about the alpacas we have gathered for this event and we are extremely proud to offer them for your bidding pleasure. We love the alpaca business and all of the great people we have had the good fortune to meet involved within it. We invite you to explore our website or better yet when you have a chance, please come and visit us at our ranch in Culver, Oregon. We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting and making new friends at “The 2014 Parade of Champions Auction.

Welcome to Crescent Moon Ranch and the Parade of Champions Sale! This year represents our 11th year as a participant in the Parade of Champions Sale. We have always recognized our participation in this significant event as an honor and a privilege. Those acknowledgements are as strong as they have ever been as we embrace our new partners and location. To stand with these incredible programs leaves us humbled! While we too have experienced much change recently, we remain a family run business with a focus which is 100% on alpacas. Our many years in the hospitality field and retail helped shaped us into an operation which is uniquely qualified to take care of our customers. This fact combined with a large herd and 18 years in the alpaca industry have provided us with enormous experience. We have enjoyed our alpaca business immensely. The goal of breeding a better and better alpaca has become a passion. Better even than the breeding program are the friendships we have cultivated. Many of them are lifetime friendships and they span the entire U.S.A. As we go forward we have three main goals: 1. The continual improvement of our herd and the herds of our friends and customers. 2. The well being of each and every alpaca in our care. 3. And last but not least, the success and satisfaction of those who choose to do business with us. Many thanks to those of you have been our customers and to those of you who are considering it; we hope you “Land on the Moon! Thank you for considering us. The Crescent Moon Family Scott, Debbie, Rachel and Clara Lynn

4/9/14 2:53 PM
Our journey in alpacas started in 1998 when we saw our first alpacas at a friend’s house. Looking for something to do as a family, alpacas seemed like an interesting venture. This idea quickly took on a life of its own! Within a year we had moved from suburbia and were “full tilt farmers” retrofitting a horse barn, and discovering first hand that there is no such thing as a one man auger. We started with 5 alpacas, and planned on building the herd to 20 . . . right . . . Now on our second farm, and still a family run business, A Paca Fun Farm is the home of 140+ huacayas. Since early on, our breeding program has been focused on producing dark fleece of exquisite quality. In particular, we have concentrated our
POC14.FINAL.indd 9
efforts on producing black and gray fleece of “textile grade” uniformity and fineness. Developing the grays and blacks that existed over a decade ago into the cutting edge herd we have today has been a challenge, but a rewarding one. We are now proud to offer alpacas with elite gray and black genetics that have been 14 years in the making. The Parade of Champions has been and continues to be a landmark event in the alpaca industry. We are both honored and humbled to be included in the distinguished line-up of farms showcased here. We look forward to spending a weekend with you! Neil, Jo & Bari Padgett

Little Creek Farm Alpacas Herdsires PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus
This outstanding AOBA champion Hemingway son from the extraordinary import dam Sicuani currently boasts top 1% EPDs in six categories, including AFD, SD, spin fineness, %>30 and mean curvature. He has the finest-crimped fleece we have seen, with microbundling and long staple length, and we prize him for the fine crimped, low micron fleece of his offspring. Together with El Niño, Nautilus stands at the foundation of the Accoyo America herd, even as he continues to produce elite offspring for our farm and others’. 2002 AOBA Nationals Champion White Male 2003 IAO Supreme Champion Male, Grand Champion White Male 2003 AWE Reserve Champion White Male
Accoyo America Road Warrior
Road Warrior is among the most prepotent herdsires working today. A Nautilus son, his fleece is characterized by extreme density and a high frequency crimp on a moderately long staple. He is a powerful, conformationally correct male. His crias consistently carry fleeces with the “total package” of desirable attributes, and have won Road Warrior nine Get of Sire competitions to date. 2012 MAPACA 1st Place Get of Sire 2010 AOBA Nationals 1st Place 2008 CABA White Color Champion 2012 AOBA Nationals 1st Place Get of Sire 2011 Alpacapalooza 1st Place Get of Sire 2008 AWE 1st Place 2012 CABA 1st Place Get of Sire 2011 CABA 1st Place Get of Sire 2008 Futurity 1st Place 2013 MAPACA 1st Place Get of Sire 2012 IAO 1st Place Get of Sire 2009 CABA 1st Place 2013 AOBA Nationals 1st Place Get of Sire 2012 Alpacapalooza 1st Place Get of Sire 2010 AWE 1st Place 2010 CABA 1st Place
Accoyo America Kashmir
Kashmir has risen to the top of our herdsire row for his propensity to produce well-proportioned crias with extremely fine, consistent fleeces that stand the test of time. A cross between Nautilus and the outstanding AOBA Nationals and Futurity champion El Niño daughter Accoyo America Sha Na Na, he carries a very fine white fleece with a high frequency crimp style. He was our most heavily used herdsire in 2013. 2010 CABA Classic Reserve Champion Fleece 2010 CABA Classic Fleece Best Crimp 2011 Futurity Reserve White Color Champion 2011 AOBA Nationals White Color Champion

Accoyo America Shogun
Accoyo America Shogun is a dream-team combination of the genetics of Legacy, Hemingway, and the elite import female Sicuani. He’s the result of a breeding cross of Legacy and Sequin, full sister to Nautilus. His fleece is very fine, exquisitely structured, and uniform, with heavy coverage down his legs. He is producing champions, most notably our newest addition to our herdsire row, Accoyo America Kingfish. 2007 AAA Futurity White Color Champion 2007 MAPACA Jubilee Reserve Champion 2007 AOBA Nationals White Color Champion

Accoyo America Polaris
Polaris is perhaps our densest and most uniform herdsire. A full Accoyo son of El Niño and the Futurity champion dam Pussywillow, he is a fusion of the Auzengate and Caligula bloodlines. He has a striking head and profile and a fleece once described by a judge as “the best he’s even seen.” Polaris has top 1% EPDs for AFD and spin fineness, and top 2% for fleece weight. He is in high demand as a herdsire both within and outside of our program. 2005 AAA Futurity White Color Champion 2006 AOBA Judges’ Choice Fleece

Accoyo America Ulysses
Over the years Accoyo America Ulysses has produced some of the finest-fleeced crias ever born on Greg Mecklem’s farm. Even better, they tend to stay both fine and consistent as they age, holding their high character structure as well. Ulysses himself was the Supreme Champion male at IAO as both a three- and five-year old, and his fifth fleece also took Judge’s Choice at the 2007 AOBA fleece show, which speaks to his own fleece’s staying power. Ulysses has a compact, typey frame with an upright posture and an absolutely gorgeous head. He is the son of Accoyo El Niño and Accoyo Ayacucha. 2007 AOBA National Fleece Show Judges Choice 2008 IAO Supreme Champion Male

Accoyo America Ajax
Unmatched density and consistency are the hallmarks of Ajax’s extremely fine, well-structured fleece: Ian Watt of Alpaca Consulting Services USA recently declared Ajax the best alpaca has tested in the US to date, with follicular density of 98.4/ mm, a difference between primary and secondary AFDs of only 2.5 microns, and a secondary fiber SD of just 2.2. This is not surprising given his pedigree: Ajax’s sire Accoyo America Ulysses was twice IAO Supreme Champion and won the AOBA Judges Choice award for fleece twice also, the second time with his fifth fleece. Ajax’s dam 6Peruvian Accoyo Stefani was also remarkable. Ajax’s high quality fleece extends from shoulder to hip and into the belly. Just 1.6% of his fibers showed medullation in his third fleece and he has developed almost no fibers above 30 microns as he has aged. Ajax is a large, strong-framed male, and his first crias are expected in 2014.
Accoyo America Kingfish
After winning the white championship at every show he entered in 2013, Kingfish demonstrated his enduring fleece qualities with a second, back to back championship at the AOA National Show in 2014. A multiple-time Judges’ Choice winner and phenotypic powerhouse, Accoyo America Kingfish impressed the judges with his solid conformation and fine, exquisitely structured fleece with remarkable brightness and hand. Kingfish is out of Accoyo America Karma, an outstanding Ulysses daughter that ranks among our very top production dams and boasts an 18 micron fleece in middle age. Kingfish’s sire is none other than the Futurity and AOBA champion white male, Accoyo America Shogun. 2013 Alpacapalooza Judges Choice 2013 Alpacapalooza White Color Champion 2013 Alpacapalooza 1st Place Breeder’s Best Three 2014 AOA Nationals White Color Champion

Accoyo America North Star
North Star is an El Niño cross with Sequoia, Nautilus’ full sister. He is a powerful male with an elite white fleece that combines a moderately fine crimp and long staple length and independent bundling with a high degree of uniformity. At 19 microns, his fleece remains cria-fine at age eight. North Star has produced champion offspring in color and white. 2007 AWE 1st Place White Yearling 2007 AOBA Nationals Reserve Champion White 2008 IAO 1st Place White Senior
Accoyo America Navigator
A son of Nautilus and AOBA Brown Color Champion Mulberry, Navigator has transferred the fineness, fine crimp and long staple length of Nautilus to a dark fawn fleece. He is a strong breeder, with perfect conformation and a true to type head. He produces elite-fleeced crias in fawn and brown, and is a particularly reliable producer of color: 2/3ds of his crias have been darker than their dams and 40% of them have also been darker than he is. 2006 AOBA Nationals Champion Fawn 2007 AOBA Nationals Reserve Champion Fawn 2007 AOBA Nationals Fleece Color Champion 2013 CABA 1st Place Get of Sire

His 2011 son Accoyo America Siddhartha won Supreme Champion at the 2012 IAO as a juvenile, beating all the older males, and then went on to take a first at AOBA Nationals that year. His crias have been notable for their brightness, discrete bundling, and apparent density. 2007 AOBA Nationals 2nd Place 2008 AWE Reserve Champion 2008 AAA Futurity 1st Place

ARI# 832798 D.O.B: 08/28/2001 Sire: 6Peruvian Accoyo Elite Dam: DDF Bobbie Ann The Elite Maximus is one of those alpacas still alive who possess instant name recognition in the Alpaca Industry. His reputation as a Herdsire, and before that, in the show ring, is second to none. Fiber stats for The Elite Maximus at 13 YEARS OLD…AFD: 19.3, SD: 3.4, CV: 17.6, %>30: 0.8!!!!!!!!!! Amazing! ARI#: 31359344 D.O.B.: 06/03/2008 Sire: PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus Dam: Accoyo America Zinnia Accoyo America Zeus is proudly co-owned by Alpaca Palace. Zeus carries a “Nautilus Style” fleece with a long, very soft, fined crimped staple. AOBA Judge honored him with the award of 1st Place in the 2009 AOBA Yearling White Male class. Zeus’s cria have been exceptional and following in their fathers’ footprints, winning shows across the country. It is no surprise Zeus has the accolades awarded to him and his progeny, he is the full brother to Multiple Get Of Sire winner, Accoyo America Road Warrior.
Quechua’s Verticase
ARI# 1278101 D.O.B: 07/29/2006 Sire: Snowmass Quechua Dam: Snowmass SabrinaVerticase fleece contains all of the characteristics that any serious Huacaya breeder would look for in an Elite Herdsire. His fleece is extremely fine yet still carrying amazing amount of density! The results of his skin biopsy show that his density is 110 follicles/sq.mm which is off the charts!!! Norm Evans said “Quechua’s Verticase scares me as I have never measured a mature alpaca that is this dense with this type of micron count!” Verticase cria have been winning Championships and continue to impress us at every show.

Cria Due Date: 9/1/14 Sire: Accoyo America Mahatma Dam: PCA Accoyo Georgia Service Sire: Accoyo America Polaris
It is exciting to be able to offer a bred dam of this quality in the Parade of Champions. Savanna is a full Accoyo Mahatma daughter out of PCA Accoyo Georgia. Full sister to the IAO Supreme Champion and Futurity and AOBA National Champion male Accoyo America Siddhartha, Savanna had a successful show career herself as a juvenile before getting down to business as a foundation dam. A lovely, feminine dam with dense, bright fleece that has retained its beautiful character, Savanna produced an excellent Road Warrior son for us last year, notable for the extreme uniformity and low medullation of his brilliant white fleece as well as for his impressive conformational substance. With him in our pocket we can offer Savanna to you. She is bred to Accoyo America Polaris for an elite full Accoyo offspring that is one of our most anticipated crias of 2014. This is a compelling opportunity to enhance your foundation herd and your 2015 show string at one go. Color: Dark Fawn Sire: ATV Adonnis Dam: Natalie Cole
Breeding Natalie Cole to ATV Adonis, the 2007 AOBA National Grey Huacaya Color was an excellent decision and we could not be happier with the result. Nicole is definitely top quality. Her fleece exhibits a excellent brightness and character with deep amplitude medium frequency crimp, soft hand, and very nice fineness. Her pedigree carries color from top to bottom with Mr. Roosevelt, Cahuide, Cahuide’s Smokey Bear, Guellermo, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, Snowmass Silver Spirit, and GB Alpaca’s Tiger Woods. Her dam Natalie Cole is dark brown, bay black in color, has a very good nurturing instinct, and an abundance of milk. She has proven her consistency well. We feel that Nicole will have a very successful show career. Nicole sells with full farm warranty and breeding to any Amber Autumn herd sire.

Dam - Greener Pastures Ziva
Replicating the incredible brightness of her sire, Crescent Moon’s Zelite is truly elite (pun intended!). Her well defined staples and uniform fleece character underwrite her excellent density and all of this is packaged up on a strong and robust frame. Most of us have knowledge of the legend who is 6Peruvian Accoyo Elite but Zelite’s maternal line is one of its own wonder. It goes all the way back to her great, great grandma, 4Peruvian Blanca who is pregnant this year because she is still so far ahead of the industry at large. Along the way and over the years this line has countless champions and herdsires for the Crescent Moon program and its subsidiaries. Studs used to advance Zelite’s genetics along the way and to this point include, Legacy, Elite (twice) and Peruvian Zephyrus of Sunset Hills fame. Zelite sells with her 1st breeding. We have some killer options but we would recommend either Pheidippides, Augustine or Jamahl.
Lot 4 - A Paca Fun’s Revlon ARI: 32703658 DOB: 10/31/13 Gender: Female Color: MRG Status: Maiden Sire: Aussie .38 Special Dam: A Paca Fun’s Segunda Blending 2 of the top gray herd-sires lines in the US, Revlon combines the outstanding qualities of Silver Legend of KPR, and Aussie .38 Special into one gray genetic powerhouse. Her fleece is ultra-fine, uniform and dense with well defined crimp architecture that is present not only throughout the blanket, but extending to the back of her head, belly and down her legs. Add all of this onto a solid, stylish frame and you get a total package that is ready to enter the show ring. Revlon would be an exceptional addition to an established gray breeding program or a pillar to build on for farms wishing to breed for gray. She comes with a breeding to an A Paca Fun farm herdsire, and we would recommend either A Paca Fun’s Super Sonic or A Paca Fun’s Ridiculous. color-friendly genetic background and medullation of just 1.5%, Mayflower is an excellent choice for those seeking to produce elite fawn and brown offspring. Accoyo America Navigator would be an incredible choice of service sire for her. Histogram: 2014: AFD: 15.2, SD: 2.7, CV: 17.9, %>30: 0.3
The typey full Accoyo female Mayflower has really caught our attention with her stylish fleece, which features a high frequency crimp style and an excellent expression of character from shoulder to hip. With El Ni単o prominent in her pedigree the high degree of uniformity reflected in her histogram comes as no surprise, while for her 15 micron fineness we give a nod not just to Polaris but also to her dam AOV Accoyo Maybelle, a beige Royal Avenger daughter who carries a uniform 19 micron fleece as a working dam. Lot 7 - Accoyo America Arctic Warrior ARI: 32274073 DOB: 3/6/2011 Gender: Male Color: White
Status: Proven Sire: Accoyo America Road Warrior Dam: Accoyo America Arctica
It is our commitment to offering the best production of our breeding effort at auction that places Arctic Warrior in this year’s Parade of Champions. This multiple champion male is the spitting image of his highly prepotent sire Road Warrior, who has done more to transform the Accoyo America herd than any sire since El Niño, and has won nine Get of Sire awards to date for his dense, fine-fleeced, well-conformed offspring. Arctic Warrior’s dam, Accoyo America Arctica, is a champion and Futurity winning Polaris daughter out of the outstanding dam Nautica, herself a Nautilus daughter and full sister to another of our top sires, Accoyo America Kashmir. The Senior AOBA Judge at MAPACA had tears in her eyes when she awarded Arctic Warrior the White Color Championship over Accoyo America Kingfish. Perhaps more than any other male Arctic Warrior is a complete representation of the cream of the Accoyo America breeding program. A scan of his pedigree reveals that every one of his progenitors comes from the apex of our stem-line of import ancestors. On the male side are Hemingway, Caligula, and Auzengate (sold to Australia,) all top import picks in 1993-1995. On the female side, only our top five female imports are represented: Accoyo Sunipani (1995); Accoyo Pucara (1995); Alianza Chachani (1997); Accoyo Sicuani and Accoyo Zenaida (1998). These imports produced Arctic Warrior’s more recent renowned ancestors Accoyo America’s El Niño, Nautilus, Road Warrior, Sha Na Na, Pussywillow, Zinnia, and, of course, Nautica and Arctica. Arctic Warrior himself carries a soft-handle, dense, high character fleece that exhibits a high degree of uniformity

and is organized into independent bundles with a low degree of medullation. Grid sampling revealed less than one micron of variation in AFD across the extent of his blanket at age two. He is a powerfully-framed male with a beautiful head and a compelling presence. Arctic Warrior is a working herdsire and settled females in 2013. You will not need to wait to put his extraordinary genetics to work in your program. Lot 8 - Crescent Moon’s Veneleigh ARI: 32670950 DOB: 5/9/2013 Gender: Female Color: Medium Fawn Status: Maiden Sire: Crescent Moon’s Accoyo Venedictos Dam: Sunset Hills Enya Veneleigh is one of our 1st offspring by Champion of Champions winner, Crescent Moon’s Accoyo Venedictos. Take a look at this fleece and you’ll confirm this decision. Of course this wasn’t all Venedictos but he certainly bucked up for his share of the DNA. The other half came from Dark Shadow daughter, Sunset Hills Enya, a true black female who sponsored Veneleigh’s color, staple length and much of her bold and sturdy frame. Veneleigh is going to be an incredible compliment to a breeding Sire - Crescent Moon’s Accoyo Venedictos program that likes to develop high end dark alpacas. There is no doubt that is how she should be bred. Since she does sell with her 1st breeding we would pair her with Black Futurity Champion, Crescent Moon’s Thelonius, Crescent Moon’s Nitro or the new kids on the block, Crescent Moon’s Capadanno or Crescent Moon’s Daytona.
Lot 9 - Amber Autumn Lavigne ARI: 32353969 DOB: 6/26/13 Gender: Female Color: Light Brown Status: Maiden Sire: Accoyo America Jason Dam: Amber Autumn’s Lana Lavigne is another Accoyo America Jason daughter out of a Turk daughter, with 4Peruvian Latora as her grand dam. Latora (deceased) was the dam that produced Snowmass Legacy’s Golden Boy. There is absolutely no doubt the kind of impact he had on our breeding program. In his case the excellence came from both sides. Latora maintained a low 20 micron fleece until she passed and like Legacy, had a very soft silky hand. Her grandsire Turk maintains very nice fineness Sire: Accoyo America Jason for a dark brown breeding male. At 7 years of age in 2007 his histogram reads: 22.7, 4.2, 18.5, 5.0%>30. The histogram on her light fawn dam Lana at age 4 reads: 24.0, 4.2, 17.4, 6.0%>30. Lavigne is another show string candidate as are all of the 2013 Jason progeny. The question for us is how many can we part with and not hurt our breeding program? Lavigne displays a very dense, bright, medium frequency crimped fleece with nice fineness and soft hand. She sells with full farm warranty and a breeding to any Amber Autumn herd sire. Best of luck in the show ring with Lavigne!

Soleil’s fleece is even more exciting: Super fine and with a high-frequency crimp style, it demonstrates both brightness and an impressive expression of character across her blanket, up her neck, and down her legs. Daughter of our nine-time Get of Sire winner Accoyo America Road Warrior, this well-grown female is also maternal

An outstanding producer that has one robust, quick-growing cria after the next, Olympia is also in the top 1% of EPDs for fleece weight. Boudica is the full sister of the champion male Accoyo America Olympic Warrior and has dense, brilliant white fleece of similar quality, with an AFD of 15.3 and an SD of 2.8. She’s a robust female with excellent size, a correct, strong frame, and a true to type head. In a banner year of females she is one of our best, and our confidence in her future as an elite production female could not be higher. Boudica would pair well with almost any of our males, but we would recommend looking closely at Ulysses or Kashmir in particular.

Simply stated, Novena is a gorgeous silver gray female who comes from championship stock and is a champion herself. We thought long and hard about putting the two gray females into this sale that we have. Were we not coming all the way across country we surely would have kept one of them for the program. The interesting thing for us was that we found no particular favor with either one. We love them both! Novena claims superb fineness, advanced density and vicuna style crimp across her blanket and as you can see, she is a looker. There isn’t much more that one could want from any female let alone a gray female. Look at Novena and see just how far gray alpacas have come! Very dense, bright, medium frequency crimped fleece with deep amplitude, very consistent character, nice fineness, and a soft silky hand. Her sire Voyager is extremely dense as is her bay black dam Tiamarie. Teejay has a very deep pedigree and should be a phenomenal production female when her show career is finished. It brings in Peruvian Bueno through Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, Snowmass Nova, and Snowmass Intrepid as well as 4Peruvian Legacy, then on the dams bottom side it includes Peruvian Ivano, RFA Turk, and a great grand dam named Bolivian Charlotte that won our ranch several Produce of Dam awards. Her sire brings in more depth with names like Hemingway, Nautilus, Caligula, and great dams like Sicuani, Minipani, and Snowmass Legacy’s Ruby. No guess work here. Deep, deep pedigree, color top to bottom. Teejay sells with full farm warranty and a breeding to any Amber Autumn herdsire.

Accoyo America Eiger offers a complete package of compelling fleece attributes: His very dense, 15.1 AFD fleece is fine and extraordinarily bright, with excellent organization and very impressive uniformity of micron and character across his blanket. He is a good-sized young male with a strong topline and an attractive head. The combination of the full Accoyo El Niño son Denali with the Nautilus daughter Accoyo America Heidi has produced this kind of excellence for us before: Eiger’s champion full sister Swiss Miss is now a member of our production herd and continues to carry a drop-dead gorgeous fleece. As you know, we stress the quality of the dam in choosing herdsires and Eiger’s dam Heidi is one of the best. Status: Open Sire: Snowmass Matrix Majesty Dam: Snowking’s Marigot Service Sire: TBD
We quite honestly have some reservations about letting this beautiful Snowmass Matrix Majesty daughter go. Fleur’s dam, Marigot, whom we lost prematurely almost 2 year ago now, was the older maternal sister of our show Champion female, Pristine. Both Marigot and Pristine had been born to the legendary imported dam, PPPeruvian Prestige, one of the most important females to join our breeding program when it underwent its expansion back in 2002 and we became partners in the North American Alpaca Stud. It was unfortunately not until the end of Marigot’s life that we decided to breed her with a colored Herdsire, Matrix Majesty, producing the stupendous young female you see before you here. A member of our fall show string last year, Fleur has only continued to impress us as she has matured and we are proud to have her representing us here at the Parade of Champions. Though she sells with a future breeding to any Herdsire owned by Cas-Cad-Nac Farm, we would strongly encourage her new owners to choose either CCNF Elixir or TKO’s King of the Ladies given her maternal line’s history of producing topflight alpacas when crossed with the CCNF Archangel line (Elixir is an Archangel grandson, Kinger a son). If breeding directly to color is more your thing though, then one could always breed to the likes of Snowmass Conopa’s Kahuna or our newly minted AOA National Fawn Champion, Spirit Wind’s Maestro. Either way she sells with full reproductive guarantees! Histogram: 2013: 16.7 AFD, 4.1 SD, 24.5 CV, 1.3 >30, 98.7 CF Awards: 1st Place, 2013 Green Mountain 3rd Place, 2013 Empire Extravaganza

Ok, we will admit that Kita does have white fibers encroaching into her chocolaty fleece but that doesn’t bother us a bit Sire - Kirwin and shouldn’t bother you if you breed for gray alpacas. This is a gray breeders opportunity! It is obvious from her robust style which includes a square frame, lovely head, full coverage and sizable bone density that Kita is a great compliment to the female side of any breeding equation, hence the term Herdsire Maker. Her fleece bears up under that scrutiny as well by its fineness, density and brightness. Now take all of this goodness and choose her 1st pairing. You will have your choice of Crescent Moon’s Donato or Crescent Moon’s Aquinas. Each is a Gray Futurity Champion along with their many other distinctions. Amulet is a very robust, solid framed female. She displays a very bright deep amplitude crimped fleece with very nice fineness, density, and staple length. We are quite excited about having this light brown herdsire in our stud row. He is incredibly dense and displays very long staple. His 2013 histogram at 5 years of age is as follows: AFD: 22.2, SD: 4.5, CV: 20.3, 5.1% >30. Amulet is a very solid genetic package with PPeruvian Victor, Peruvian Hemingway, and PPPeruvian Caliente on the top side and Peruvian Bueno, NGG Lional, and Snowflake Charm (deceased) on the bottom of her pedigree. Snowflake Charm was a very prepotent dam that consistently produced stunning show quality progeny. Amulet is bred to AML EL Duro’s Principio and due with cria in early September, 2014. Principio is incredibly dense and fine and his stunning 2013 histogram at 8 years of age was: AFD: 19.5, SD: 3.6, CV: 18.3, 1.5% >30. This was an easy name choice for us. When you consider that her dam is Crescent Moon’s Breathless and that she looks like this, naming her Breathtaking was a no-brainer. What is really cool however is that she lives up to it through and through. As you can see she has runway good looks. Actually just what you would expect crossing Rayo del Sol with Adonnis. Those expectations apply to her fleece as well and there is no disappointment. Breathtaking’s fleece is really bright, uniformly colored, incredibly soft, ultra fine and extraordinarily dense. Really this is a luxurious gray fleece and if you breed for gray you will know this is not common. Paragon’s Gypsy Rose is a 5th generation product out of the A Paca Fun Farm breeding program. Sired by 13X Champion A Paca Fun’s Intrigue, and out of an ultra fine multi blue Gypsy Rose Head fleece ribbon winning gray dam, it’s not surprising that Gypsy has already been competing well in the modern gray class! Her fleece is very well organized with amazing high frequency crimp that extends from the back of her head down throughout her blanket. Gypsy also combines impressive density with fineness, something that is often difficult to obtain! With her solid genetic background, we expect her to continue following her parents foot steps both in the ring and as a rock star production dam. Ally is very robust for her age. As you can see from her photo, she is as pretty as her fleece. It displays a medium frequency crimp style Sire: Accoyo America with very nice density and brightness, good Jason fineness, soft hand, exceptional staple length, and character that extends well into her extremities. Her fawn grandsire Laredo retained a 21.3 micron fleece in 2009 at 10 years of age. Her bay black dam Aleesha at 6 years of age in 2013 retains a 20.7 AFD, 5%>30 fleece. Her pedigree is a genetic fusion on the dam side that includes Peruvian Alpimayo, MMR Laredo, and then pulls in Peruvian Bonanza. Bonanza (deceased) was an extremely dense macho that we purchased from Magical Farms when we first entered the alpaca business. He maintained a 22 23 micron fleece until he passed. It displayed high frequency, brightness and exceptional crimp character that carried down to his toes. Bonanza had a tremendous impact on our breeding program and produced numerous champions. This cross with Jason has created a beautiful result with Ally and brings in some outstanding genetics with Camilio (twice), Auzengate, and the incredible dams Pucara, Pussywillow, and Camilio’s Phoenicia. Ally has a bright future with some lucky breeder, sells with full farm warranty, and a breeding to any Amber Autumn herdsire. But first she will win you some ribbons!

In addition Aussie .38 Special, and Silver Legend of KPR have proven they have lasting fineness, maintain an AFD of 21 at age 7 and 11 respectively. Titanium himself is a complete package. His fleece not only carries the fineness you would expect from his pedigree, but also incredible uniformity of both color and micron. All of this is packed onto a solid frame with correct conformation and stylish head. With the solid genetics of 2 of the best gray lines in the country behind him, we fully expect Titanium to live up to the family name in the show ring before settling down to produce show winners of his own!

Very feminine in her look and phenotype, Champane displays a very lustrous soft fleece with very nice density, staple length, high frequency, high amplitude crimp, and exceptional fineness. A Legacy grandson out of a Don Julio daughter Peruvian Christine, (deceased), Austin was in our 2009/2010 Canada show string and his histogram at 3 years of age in 2011 reads as follows: AFD: 17.7, SD: 3.5, CV: 19.5, %>30: 0.3. We cannot recreate this genetic combination. We have exposed Champane to our new rising star Amber Cavalier a light fawn macho with extreme density and exceptional fineness, Cavalier was the Fawn Male Huacaya Champion at the 2013 ABR Fall Festival in November, 2013. His 2013 histogram at 2 years of age came back at: AFD: 16.3, SD: 3.7, CV: 22.7, %>30: 0.5. Champane sells with full farm warranty and 72 hour live birth guarantee. Kazuri is a compelling young female with a solid frame, excellent size, and good proportions. Her uniform fleece carries a high frequency, low amplitude crimp style consistently across her blanket. She also boasts a very long staple length that should be particularly valuable to programs focused on fineness. Kazuri will be ready to breed later this season, and we would consider the multiple champion Accoyo America Kingfish for her complimentary breeding.

She combines an outstanding blend of weight, length, fineness and uniformity. The elite nature of her fleece architecture and its intense brightness produce visual cues which are also pleasing to say the least. As you can see all of this is verified by her performance in the show ring. We have bred Sha La La for her first cria to Crescent Moon’s Elite’s Crescendo who is now owned by Snow Diamond Alpacas. Crescendo is a full brother to both The Elite Maximus and the now deceased Rico Suave. These studs are all about sustained fineness and uniformity of micron. At this writing we have an early look at some of Crescendo’s first crias. The Greenes at Snow Diamond are going to like what they see for years to come! Natasha’s dam Natalia is bay black in color and out of one of our solid producers. Bolivian Charlotte that won our farm two Produce of Dam awards. Charlotte’s progeny were almost always show quality. Natasha’s sire Americano had a histogram at 6 years of age as follows: 22.1, 4.8, 21.7, 5.7%>30. Because Americano (deceased) was very good at producing color, we bred him to Natalia to keep color and improve the fleece characteristics. It worked out in spades. Natasha participated in our 2013 show string and generally placed very well. She is quite correct with a bright fleece that displays very nice character with deep amplitude crimp, nice fineness, and soft hand. To further improve fineness and density, we have exposed Natasha to our Victor’s Hemiaccoyo outstanding new macho EL Duro’s Principio. This boy is Sire: Americano extremely dense with a very high frequency crimped fleece with extraordinary fineness. Principio’s 2013 histogram at 8 years of age reads: AFD: 19.5, SD: 3.6, CV: 18.3, %>30: 1.5. This pairing will definitely result in a show quality colored progeny. a great head. We really like the genetic combination behind this male: In addition to the superstar Polaris, Achilles’ dam Quintessence is a Centurion daughter out of Nautilus’ full sister Sequin. Sequin’s offspring have all been retained in the Accoyo America breeding program, and include our Futurity and AOBA champion herdsire Shogun. Achilles offers compelling potential to upgrade either a white or color breeding program, as not just his sire Polaris but also his grandsire Centurion have produced elite colored animals, in Centurion’s case extending to true black in color. Lot 39 - Accoyo America Eventide ARI: 32782622 DOB: 7/6/13 Gender: Female Color: White Status: Maiden Sire: Accoyo America Shogun Dam: Accoyo America Eve Eventide couldn’t have a more rock solid Accoyo America pedigree. Every one of her ancestors either has been or was descended from the highest import choices Accoyo Caligula, Hemingway, Accoyo Legacy (by Snowmass) on the male side, and Accoyo Sunipani and Accoyo Sicuani on the female side. Eventide’s second generation ancestors include Futurity Champion Sequin, the renowned Accoyo El Niño, and her sire, the IAO Supreme, Futurity, and AOBA Champion Shogun. With that genetic legacy, it comes as no surprise that Eventide’s brilliantly reflective, fine, high character fleece demonstrates an incredible degree of fineness across the blanket, with AFDs of 12.7, 13.2, and 13.4 at shoulder, mid-side and hip. Her OFDA 100 histogram reveals that her medullated fiber curve is almost exactly superimposed on her non-medullated fiber curve, another mark of quality we like to see. Eventide is a compact, strong-framed female, and we would recommend a complimentary breeding to either twotime IAO Supreme Champion Accoyo America Ulysses or Accoyo America Road Warrior. Status: Maiden Sire: Greener Pastures Kane Dam: Crescent Moon’s Moonbeam
As we move into another phase of our lives here at Crescent Moon Ranch, it is fitting that Crescent Moon’s Moonbeam has produced a daughter whom we have named Crescent Moon’s Moonlight Memories. Moonbeam is the daughter of our Cressie who has been deceased for some years now. Cressie was the name sake of Crescent Moon and Moonbeam has carried her mom’s torch with distinction. Moonlight Memories is the maternal sibling to one of the high sellers at the first Priority Sale named Crescent Moon’s Moonlytroses who was purchased by the good folks at Flying Pony Alpacas. Moonlight Memories is a really pleasing true black female. She displays really good density and brightness in a fleece that is uniform in micron, length, color and architecture. And the handle . . . oh what a handle! It is slick! Moonlight Memories sells with her 1st breeding. Golly do we have the options for this pairing. I suppose that if I were selecting I would chose either Simtustus, Thelonius, Propeller or Nitro. As all of you grey lovers and breeders of grey alpacas can see, Marquesa is pretty as can be, and she has a sweet quiet personality to match. Sired by Crescent Moon’s Marquis, she carries the Copenhagen and Valentino genetics in her pedigree, so color is well embedded. Adding in a 4Peruvian Legacy daughter named Chocolate Decadence on the topside does not hurt either. On the bottom side, her medium rose grey dam ATV Rose Pearl brings through the silver grey, with help from her Grandsire Mr. Roosevelt (MRG) and her Grand dam ATV Absidion (TB). Marquesa displays a very bright medium frequency crimped fleece with very nice density and fineness. To carry the grey genetics forward, we have bred Marquesa to our color champion modern rose grey herd sire Amber Autumn Emilio. Emilio is very dense with remarkable staple length. We fully expect this pairing to produce a stunning rose grey result. Marquesa is due with a cria in June 2014 and sells with full farm guarantees and a 72 hour live birth guarantee. Lot 43 - A Paca Fun’s Cabernet ARI: 32703948 DOB: 10/22/13 Gender: Female Color: MB Status: Maiden Sire: Aussie .38 Special Dam: Silver Legend’s Jasmine A striking maroon daughter of Aussie .38 Special, Cabernet combines 2 powerful lines in her pedigree. Her dam, A Paca Fun’s Jasmine, is the silver gray full sister of A Paca Fun’s Norrington our 8 X champion black herdsire. Cabernet has an excellent phenotype, full coverage, and an ultra fine fleece that forms into drapy bundles. Her uniform fleece is also extremely bright with a wonderful crimp structure. Given the long-lasting fineness on both sides of her pedigree we expect her to maintain lifelong fineness even as a production dam. As both parents are classic gray, Cabernet could be bred for either solid or classic gray offspring. She is an exceptional female and would be a valuable addition to any program breeding for fine, uniform color. Cabernet comes with a breeding to an A Paca Fun Farm’s herdsire. Depending one which way the buyer wants to go we would suggest either CCNF Elixer or A Paca Fun’s Supersonic. Histogram: 2014: AFD: 15.84, SD: 3.91, CF: 100%

Status: Unproven Sire: Accoyo America Polaris Dam: Accoyo America Sand Dollar
With his outstanding fleece and genetic potential to produce color, Sandstorm will produce excellence for a white or a color breeding program. This male’s fleece isn’t just fine: it shows a high degree of density, excellent organization, and a tight crimp style, with superior brightness to top it off. He carries that fleece on a wellbalanced frame and shows excellent substance of bone. We also appreciate his coverage. Sandstorm’s sire Accoyo America Polaris has produced champion after champion in white and color, and has top 1% EPDs for AFD and spin fineness, and top 2% for SD and fleece weight, the latter being particularly hard to achieve with such fine-fleeced offspring. She is statuesque and straight with an attractive, feminine head. She carries a very fine white fleece that shows good density and excellent style and organization across the entire blanket. Artemis’ full sister Amani has held her fineness as she has matured, and her dam Macedonia retains both royal fineness and consistency as a middle-aged working dam. A solid foundation-quality female, Artemis should produce excellent offspring in white or color. We recommend a breeding to our rising star Accoyo America Ajax. Her elite white fleece hides the potential to produce color: Sumiko’s dam, the medium fawn Accoyo America Sumatra, is a daughter of Accoyo America Centurion, a fawn El Niño son who produced true black offspring. Sumiko’s fleece is crystalline white, and shows good density and excellent uniformity of character across her blanket. Her proportions are correct and she has a feminine presence. As we’ve watched her mature it has become increasingly difficult to part with her. We’d recommend breeding her to Accoyo America Navigator for color, or Accoyo America Kashmir for white. Deep and intense, Merlot is so dark and concentrated that she dances on the edge of being true black! Even better than the highly acclaimed 2001 vintage, this Merlot from a tiny, clay soil ranch in Claysville is just about everything you’ve ever dreamed of owning. Gorgeous, generous, voluptuous, cheerful, succulent and intense: WP Merlot is all of those things. As her name suggests, phenotypically Merlot is sophisticated, elegant and balanced, with a long, luxurious fade characterized by the density, brightness, and organization of her fleece. These delicious attributes come with the terroir: Merlot’s sire is Silvercloud Farms Mercurio, a multiple champion male producing multiple champions in every color, and her dam is our treasured Snowmass Chianti, a Snowmass Nova daughter that will never leave our breeding program, and produces fine fleeced cria year after year. But there’s more for your palate to savor, because Merlot sells bred to The Elite Maximus. The Elite Maximus is one of those few alpacas still alive who possess instant name recognition in the alpaca industry. His reputation as a herdsire and his show ring accomplishments are 2nd to none. She displays a very silky soft bright high frequency crimped fleece with very nice density, outstanding fineness, and very good staple length. Well grown for her age, Loretta has good substance of bone and is well balanced on a solid frame. This female is a genetic fusion of El Niño, PPeruvian Vengador, and 4Peruvian Legacy on the top side and then brings in Accoyo Elite, PPeruvian Pluro, and 4Peruvian Legacy on the bottom side. It doesn’t get much better than this. Loretta will be an outstanding production female for some lucky buyer. We have exposed Loretta to our newest herd sire addition, a Quechua son, Sunset Hills Citation XL. He is extremely dense and maintaining a fleece with very good character and lingering fineness as shown by his 2013 histogram which reads as follows: AFD: 22.3, SD: 4.1, CV: 18.5, %>30: 3.0. Here is a particularly compelling opportunity for those looking to increase uniformity and density in their herd. Accoyo America Mae West, a Road Warrior daughter, is out of PCA Accoyo Mia, currently ranked 6th in the EPD database for increasing fleece weight in offspring. The Road Warrior/ Mia combination has produced excellence for us before: Mae West’s full brother Accoyo America Mad Max tested among the best animals for which Ian Watt has reviewed biopsies, with a density of 78 follicles/mm, and a primary to secondary

AFD difference of only 4.2 microns. And we’ve exposed this beautiful yearling female to Accoyo America Ajax, who is the densest animal that Ian Watt has evaluated to date, with density of 98.4 follicles/ mm, a primary to secondary micron difference of only 2.5 microns, and a Service Sire: Accoyo America Ajax spin fineness on his third fleece of just 16.3 microns. The dam of 8 time champion/ reserve champion Greener Pastures Eli and 7 time champion/reserve champion, Greener Pastures Kane has now sponsored a beautifully fleeced silver gray son by Crescent Moon’s Donato whom we have called Thaddeaus. Thaddeus scarcely has a spot on his blanket and his fleece is nothing short of dynamic. It is fine, really fine and with that fineness comes exemplary brightness. To add further accolades he displays excellent uniformity of micron throughout the blanket along with advanced density and uniformity of crimp in all places viewed. Thaddeus is a blend of import studs Legacy, Elite, Camilio, and Andrajo. It is no wonder all of this goodness is found in this one young male. As a young future stud, Thaddeaus is a speculative purchase but considering all of the participants in his pedigree we don’t think there is a whole lot of mystery here. A Paca Fun’s Eloise is a unique blend of excellent gray and fawn lines. She has combined the extreme fineness and uniformity of her sire with the density and volume of her dam. Add to this a showy head, correct conformation and perky personality, and you have a show ready package! Eloise would be an asset to either a high end fawn or black and gray program. She comes with a breeding to an A Paca Fun Farm herd sire, and depending on the breeding program she is added to, we would recommend either Aussie. 38 Special, A Paca Fun’s Super Sonic, or CCNF Elixir. It also shows the high degree of organization and the solidity of staple that is associated with pronounced density. She carries that fleece on a beautiful, well-proportioned frame with good substance of bone. Even better than this lovely phenotype are the genetics behind her: Sunshine’s sire is the three-time AOBA Champion brown male Accoyo America Jason, and her dam is the highly prized Accoyo America Sunflower, a Nautilus daughter with a top-notch production record whom we like so much that this is the first time we have offered to part with one of her daughters. As is true of many of our best whites, Sunshine offers the potential to produce elite-fleeced, dark colored crias, and if that is your desire, we’d pair her with Accoyo America Navigator, who has an outstanding record of producing dark colored, show winning crias. Her dam Candelina (Eclipse Alyst daughter) at 4 years of age maintains a 2013 histogram of 19.7, 3.8, 19.4, 1.4%>30. Her sire Accoyo America Saturn has a histogram that reads 20.6, 4.3, 21.4, 1.8%>30 at 5 years of age. Grandsire Eclipse Alyst at age 7 has a histogram that reads: 21.4, 4.6, 21.5, 4.2%>30. It does not hurt that she has El Niño as a grandsire either. Her pedigree runs deep with Vengador, Coyo Destiny, Bueno and NGG Lional in the mix. Crystal Rose displays a fleece with good brightness, medium frequency crimp, deep amplitude, extraordinary fineness, and very good staple length. This female should be an exceptional producer. Accoyo America Phaeton is a unique combination of the cream of Accoyo America’s whites -- Nautilus (Hemingway line,) El Niño (Caligula line,) Sunipani and Sicuani -- with our best color lines, including the herdsires Camilio and Endurance as well as the dam Phoenicia and our top ‘97 import pick, Destiny (black.) Phaeton’s sire, Accoyo America Jason, was selected as the AOBA National Brown Color Champion three times, in 2005, 2006, and 2007. While Phaeton is a true elite-fleeced white, he
undoubtedly has the potential to produce elite-fleeced colored offspring, especially if paired with colored dams. We love the phenotype here as well: Phaeton demonstrates true harmonic balance with his correct frame, upright carriage, and lovely head. His fleece has a dramatic, pronounced fine crimp and independent bundling. If you are interested in breeding for a range of colors without sacrificing fleece quality, Phaeton should be a valuable asset. either of the above will void all warranties either express or implied EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED ABOVE, SELLER MAKES NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NOR DOES SELLER MAKE ANY WARRANTY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO THE ANIMALS IN THIS SALE. The foregoing is the full extent of the responsibility of the Seller, and by way of illustration and not limitation, in no event shall the Seller be liable for incidental or consequential damages, or for any changes or expenses of any nature incurred without Seller’s written permission. 3. TERMS: Terms are cash and payment in full, or with terms approved by Seller. Payment must be made to the Cashier immediately following purchase; personal checks are to be payable to CELEBRITY SALES. Seller reserves the right to require a certified check as settlement before releasing the animal. A. All alpacas being financed must have proof of insurance before the Buyer takes possession, naming the Seller as Loss Payee. Buyer must maintain mortality insurance on the animal in the amount of remaining balance until paid in full with the seller named as the loss payee. B. Any income generated by the animal in outside breedings or sales of offspring shall be paid in full to the seller and applied first to interest and then toward the remaining principal balance. C. In the event the scheduled payment on a financed alpaca is not received by Seller within 10 days of the due date, Buyer agrees to pay a penalty payment of $250 per late payment. Additionally Buyer agrees that they will pay a $250 service charge on any NSF checks. Should any payment become 30 days or more past due, this note shall be considered to be in default. In the event of any default, any remaining balance, including accrued interest and penalties shall be immediately due and payable in full. 4. BIDDING: The highest bidder recognized by the Auctioneer shall be the Buyer. Bids tendered after the fall of the hammer are not valid grounds for dispute. If any dispute arises between two or more bidders or in the event of doubt on the Auctioneer’s part as to the validity of any bid, the Auctioneer will have the final discretion either to determine the successful bidder, or to re-offer and resell the alpaca in question. The Auctioneer’s determination is conclusive and not subject to challenge. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid. 5. TAPE: A tape recording will be made of the entire sale which shall be used to settle any questions regarding statements made about animals while they are in the auction ring. 6. TITLE AND DELIVERY: Title will pass to the Buyer upon full payment of the purchase price. All risk of death or injury to the alpaca becomes the Buyer’s risk upon the fall of the hammer. An Acknowledgement of Purchase shall be signed by each Buyer following their purchase. Please write your full name and address clearly. 7. REGISTRATION PAPERS: All registration papers will be delivered when checks clear the bank and payment is made in full. Buyer is responsible for all transfer fees. 8. DEFAULT OF PURCHASE: If any person shall purchase a lot and fail to pay for it in the manner described above, the Seller shall have, in addition to all other legal rights, the right to resell the lot, or at Seller’s option, bring an action for specific performance, in which event the defaulting Buyer agrees to pay all costs of such suit, together with all reasonable attorney’s fees and costs. In the event of a resale, the
defaulting Buyer agrees to pay all costs of resale, plus any deficiency between the original total purchase price and the total purchase price upon resale. 9. TRANSPORTATION: The Buyer, at Buyer’s own expense, shall transport the alpaca from the auction. Any arrangement or disposition of the alpaca after purchase other than immediate removal must be made directly between Buyer and Seller. 10. CATALOG: Every effort has been made to assure correctness of the catalog, but the Seller is not responsible for errors or omissions. Any corrections made to the catalog at the time of the sale from the Auctioneer’s podium shall supersede the catalog. 11. NO LIABILITY: Any person attending the sale, whether as a Buyer, observer, or the agent, employee or assign of any person, does so at their own risk and no liability, duties, obligations, and/or responsibilities of any kind or nature shall be imposed upon Seller, Little Creek Alpacas, LLC., the Auctioneer, Celebrity Sales, Tim Vincent, or any owners, employees or assigns, for any accident, injury, mishap, theft, damage and/or other harm regardless of cause. 12. Unless stated to the contrary, the Seller or representative/agent of Seller shall have the right to bid on his animal selling, or place a minimum reserve bid with the auction company. 13. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY OF AUCTIONEER: Neither the Auctioneer, Celebrity Sales, Tim Vincent, nor any agents, make any representation or warranties whatsoever with respect to the sale animals. All representations contained herein are made by Seller only. 14. BLOOD TYPING: All breeding animals in the sale have been blood typed. 15. AUTHORIZED AGENTS: Persons acting as agents must so indicate when signing the Acknowledgement of Purchase. 16. WITHDRAWAL RIGHTS: The Seller reserves the right to withdraw any alpaca from the sale without liability to anyone. 17. GOVERNING LAW: The sale and all transactions between the Buyer and Seller will be governed by the laws of the State of New York. In the event of any legal disputes regarding default of payment or any other condition of this sale, jurisdiction shall be Westchester County, New York. IMPORTANT NOTICES 1. ABSENTEE BIDS: Absentee bidding is available as a convenience for Buyers who are unable to attend the auction. Bids may be left with an auction representative who will try to purchase the lot or lots of Buyer’s choice for the lowest price possible, and never for more than the maximum amount authorized. These bids are accepted subject to the Terms and Conditions of Sale. Although every effort will be made to execute these bids, Seller or auction company will not be responsible for error or failure to execute absentee bids. 2. Breeding dates and due dates will be announced at the sale; these dates are for your information only. 3. Alpacas in the auction may have been shorn, trimmed, or cleaned for health and/or presentation reasons. Buyers are advised to inspect alpacas carefully prior to bidding. 4. BOARDING: Ten days free board are offered for all sale alpacas. Thereafter, board at $3.00/day/single and $4.00/day/mother and cria will be charged. All veterinary expenses incurred are the responsibility of the Buyer.
