Enhancing Alpacas’ Intrinsic Value At the 2015 Parade of Champions Auction

The value of alpaca breeding stock is ultimately derived from the intrinsic value of the products that alpacas produce. Our 2015 Parade of Champions seminar speakers will discuss the development of the commercial markets for those products, with emphasis on the ways alpaca breeders can enhance product values and through that, the value of their breeding stock. Don’t miss it!

At Little Creek Farm/ Accoyo America, we produce seed stock Huacaya alpacas bred for prepotency in the production of elite fleece characteristics in their offspring, including uniformity, fineness, density, and low medullation. We employ line breeding to help “lock in key genetic traits and rely on a host of quantitative measures to assess the quality of our outcomes and accelerate the advance of our breeding effort. Our goal is to provide the stock that will underpin the development of a profitable fiber market by improving the quality and processing characteristics of the huacaya alpaca clip to match those offered by other premium natural fibers, particularly cashmere. We are the annual host of the Parade of Champions, one of the premier alpaca seed stock auctions in the country, and active participants in a broad variety of market development efforts. We love the alpaca business, and our clients are also our friends.

Page 7

Our journey in alpacas started in 1998 when we saw our first alpacas at a friend’s house. Looking for something to do as a family, alpacas seemed like an interesting venture. This idea quickly took on a life of its own! Within a year we had moved from suburbia and were “full tilt farmers” retrofitting a horse barn, and discovering first hand that there is no such thing as a one-man auger. We started with 5 alpacas, and planned on building the herd to 20…. right…. Now on our second farm, and still a family run business, A Paca Fun Farm is the home of 140+ huacayas. Since early on, our breeding program has been focused on producing dark fleece of exquisite quality. In particular, we have concentrated our efforts on producing black and gray

Page 8

fleece of “textile grade” uniformity and fineness. Developing the grays and blacks that existed over a decade ago into the cutting edge herd we have today has been a challenge, but a rewarding one. We are now proud to internationally offer alpacas with elite gray and black genetics that have been 16 years in the making. The Parade of Champions has been and continues to be a landmark event in the alpaca industry. We are honored to be included again in this years line up of distinguished farms. We look forward to spending a weekend with you! Neil, Jo and Bari Padgett

“Alpaca Royalty Lives Here” Greetings from the Ritenours and the Alpacas of Alpaca Palace. Our farm is located in the great state of Pennsylvania in the city of Butler about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh on 200 beautifully manicured acres. We began raising alpacas in 2004 with 3 of these awesome creatures. In 2008, we were so fortunate to have had bred and born on our farm the Champion and Champion producing Herdsire, Alpaca Palace’s Houdini, whom we credit with propelling us into this great industry. Through our commitment to breed for an elite Huacaya alpaca with correct conformation and magnificent fiber, our herd has grown to over 120 alpacas. We con-

tinually breed for and acquire foundation stock. We evaluate our herd and offspring to analyze the breeding potential for the best combination of genetic traits to produce quality offspring. We’re committed to the betterment of the alpaca industry, from quality foundation stock to fiber production. We are honored and grateful to Lynn Edens, Little Creek Farm Alpacas, who has graciously invited us to be a part of her prestigious auction. As always, we look forward to seeing and spending time with all of our alpaca friends. Renee & Rick Ritenour & All the Alpacas at Alpaca Palace LLC Page 9

Stillmeadow Farm is located in Stonington, CT, a small fishing town close to the border of Rhode Island. The farm is owned by Pamela Brewster, who runs it with the help of farm manager Sylvie Remingol. The farm encompasses 300 acres in all, 150 of which are lush, green pastures dotted with alpacas. Our venture with alpacas began in 2010 with just a handful of animals. We now maintain a herd numbering approximately 80 elite-quality animals. Stillmeadows’ herd had its inception when we obtained a number of alpacas from our friends, Ursula

and Ryan Munroe of Tripping Gnome Farm. Our goal is to continue their great work in the industry, focusing on producing the highest quality alpacas with fine, bright and dense fleeces. If you are in the area give us a call and we will be very happy to introduce you to our amazing animals. We are very grateful to be a part of this industry’s amazing journey. Lot 1 - Accoyo America Koo Koo Kachoo Little Creek Farm/Accoyo America This juvenile female’s high crimp frequency white fleece is absolutely packed onto her frame. Her dam Tra La La has been an extraordinary producer for Accoyo America, producing three dense, fine herdsires as well as females that have joined our cadre of top production dams in their turn: Oo La La and Treasure. In fact, the 2014 female offspring of Tra La La and her daughters all showed for us this spring. Koo Koo’s sire is Accoyo America Kashmir, who continues to amaze us with the fineness and uniformity of his crias and is in heavy use on our herdsire row with both white and colored dams. When Koo Koo Kachoo is ready for breeding, we would recommend pairing her with Accoyo America Polaris or Snowmass Defiance. Page 1 8 EPDs Available: Sire, Dam, Possible Service Sires

WP Phoebe is one of the most beautiful, fine, and consistent colored females ever offered by West Penn Alpacas. She is a spectacular representation of her sire, the Jeremiah son MFI Peruvian Presumption, who carries a highly advanced fleece exhibiting bundling and high-frequency, high-amplitude crimp. Her dam, Plum Pretty, is one of our best foundation females and carries an amazing fleece with exquisite fineness and density. WP Phoebe has an excellent show record, including two first place awards at the 2015 AOA National show and the 2014 VAOBA show. Take Phoebe home with you and add her to your show string and foundation herd. She comes with her maiden breeding to The Elite Maximus or any non-restricted West Penn Alpacas herdsire.

Her golden fawn fleece is extremely bright, fine and uniform, exhibiting very well defined crimp. She has a boxy frame, typey head and exceptional coverage, making her a total package that’s ready for the show ring! As both parents are classic gray, Copper Penny could be bred for either solid or classic gray offspring. She is an exceptional female and would be a valuable addition to any program breeding for fine, uniform color. Copper Penny comes with a breeding to any of A Paca Fun Farm’s herdsires. Depending on which way the buyer wants to go we would suggest either CCNF Elixir, A Paca Fun’s Intrigue or A Paca Fun’s Supersonic. Copper Penny’s Sire

Cas-Cad-Nac Farm LLC ARI: 35238287 Color: Bay Black Gender: Female Status: Maiden DOB: 8/8/2014 Sire: Snowmass Matrix Majesty Dam: CCNF Tanzania Tipitina is the second daughter that has been born to our beloved NAAS and Futurity Champion, CCNF Tanzania, and like her older Champion sister Swahili before her, she does not disappoint. By combining the excellent genetics (Cameron/Nova) of her maternal line with those of her worldfamous sire, Snowmass Matrix Majesty, the 2013 & 2014 Futurity Herdsire of the Year, we have been left with a superlative little package. No surprise, this young lady has got the goods. The future breeding options for Tipitina are rather mouthwatering too, whether you breed her to Royal Ring of Fire, or perhaps with the likes of Futurity Champion and JC winner, CCNF Elixir, whom our friends (and Elixir’s co owners) at A Paca Fun Farm have proven is more than capable of siring dark colored crias, all with his envious fleece characteristics! Either way, CCNF Tipitina sells with our full reproductive guarantees! Dam: CCNF Tanzania

ARI: 35241065 Color: Light Silver Gray Gender: Female Status: Maiden DOB: 7/4/2014 Sire: ATV Adonnis Dam: Crescent Moon’s Lorena If you like little gray girls you really need to take a look at this stunning little female. Lacie is out of Crescent Moon’s Lorena, a Shiftin Gears daughter and a Peruvian Accoyo Elite granddaughter. In 2014 Shiftin Gears was in the Top 1% of EPD’s for medullated fibers, ranking 102 out of 16,828. Shiftin Gears progeny are expected to be finer and more uniform than the breed average. Lacie’s Sire, ATV Adonnis, is an exceptional proven silver gray herdsire. He was the 2012 Futurity Reserve Herdsire of the Year as well as holding numerous other Get of Sire banners and Color Championships. ATV Adonnis has sired many award winning alpacas. Lacie is a light silver gray. Her fleece is very fine, exceptionally bright, and displays well organized little bundles. She was not shorn as a cria. We would expect her second fleece and those after to be spectacular. Take Lacie home, show her and send her back to Red Granite Ranch for her free breeding to any of our unrestricted Herdsires. Her true white fleece is extremely bright and heavy, and organized into the dense staples that are a hallmark of her sire Mahatma’s crias. Her dam, the Nautilus daughter Adorabella, has excellent EPDs for SD, fineness, and fleece weight. Elektra is a compact female with excellent substance of bone and a nice head style. She is an ideal candidate for a white breeding program working to develop the kind of high-value stock that will support the sustainability of a growing alpaca industry. We’d recommend Road Warrior, Arctic Warrior, or Kashmir for her complimentary breeding when she is ready. In the meantime, she will anchor a competitive show string. Lot 7 - Accoyo America Road Warrior 50% Partnership Interest Little Creek Farm/Accoyo America ARI: 30955103 Color: White Gender: Male Status: Proven DOB: 5/24/2007 Sire: PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus Dam: Accoyo America Zinnia It is extremely rare for a partnership interest in a male of this demonstrated caliber to be offered at auction, and as such Road Warrior offers a transformational opportunity for a competitive breeding program, even as he continues to transform our own. Greg Mecklem has described Road Warrior as the most prepotent male he has ever worked with. A fusion of the genetics of the very best animals that Greg acquired through importation, Road Warrior has advanced the Accoyo America program as much as the seminal sires El Nino and Nautilus did before him. He won 10 Get of Sire awards for his fine, densely fleeced white offspring before we started giving some of our other males a chance. A large, easy-keeping male with unbeatable presence, he routinely confers his excellent bone and beautiful head on his offspring. Used across a wide range of females, his Accoyo America crias have had first fleeces averaging a 15.5 AFD and 3.0 SD, with the impressive degree of consistency revealed in the graphs below. Many have won banners, and their offspring are now beginning to do the same in turn. Road Warrior has produced champions when bred to outside females as well, an important confirmation of his prepotency. Those of his offspring we have sold at auction have fetched an average price of over $25,000, with a range of $10,000-$75,000. As confident as we are in the value that Road Warrior can bring to a breeding operation, we are equally confident of the business value that a successful partnership in a sire can add to both parties’ businesses. In that regard, we are happy to provide partnership references upon request. Please note that the contract for the 50% interest offered in Road Warrior is not further divisible, will offer both partners a right of first refusal in subsequent sales of their interest, and for logistical reasons is not available to breeders outside the Continental U.S. Biopsy Results at 90 months of age: Density 73.8/mm, Secondary: Primary Ratio 10.4:1, Primary to Secondary Mean Micron Difference 5.2 (Watt, Alpaca Consulting Services USA.) It is nearly impossible to improve on the uniformity and fineness of his 12.5 micron, 2.6 SD fleece, and we are convinced that this is an exceptionally densely fleeced young animal as well, with solid, discrete, and consistent staples that appear uniformly across a blanket that carries into his belly and extremities. He carries that fleece on a compact, correct frame, and has the excellent coverage and attractive head style we expect in Polaris crias. This young male will mature to become an impact herdsire like his sire, with the genetics to bring greatly improved density, uniformity, and staple length in particular to his offspring. As such he is, to put it mildly, quite difficult to part with. EPDs Available: Sire

Lot 18 - Accoyo America Augustus Little Creek Farm/Accoyo America This male’s statistics are so good, and he is maturing so nicely, that truthfully we struggled to put him in the auction. But we are committed to offering the best, and Accoyo America Augustus’ fleece attributes and genetics combine to offer an outstanding opportunity for a breeder pushing the envelope of micron uniformity and density. This male sheared over 4 lbs of 14 micron fleece at just six months old, so we knew we had something special before he was even weaned. Biopsy results received as our catalog was going to print revealed SDs of secondary and primary micron populations of 2.0 and 2.2, respectively, and a difference between primary and secondary Page 3 2 AFDs of only 3.1 microns – not to

mention superior density at 83.8 follicles/ mm (Alpaca Consulting Services USA.) In his comments, Ian Watt noted that the uniformity between and within populations was as good as one would expect from a superior fine wool merino – in his words, “high praise indeed.” A beautifully proportioned male with an upright presence and a gorgeous head, Augustus is also the last Road Warrior son we expect to offer in the near term, given his sire’s propensity for producing females the last couple of years. Biopsy results: Density 83.8/mm; Secondary to Primary ratio 9.9:1; Mean primary fiber diameter 19.2, SD 2.2; Mean secondary fiber diameter 16.1, SD 2.0.

Lot 32 - Alpaca Palace’s Aurea Legenda Alpaca Palace LLC ARI: 35224259 Color: Medium Fawn Gender: Female Status: Maiden DOB: 7/1/2014 Sire: Snowmass Silent Legend Dam: Seena’s Goldilocks Show Record: 1st place bred & owned Southern Select 2015 Destined to be Legendary….We are proud to offer this dark fawn beauty, Alpaca Palace’s Aurea Legenda. Her name in Latin means “The Golden Legend” and is fitting for this impressive female. Let’s talk seed stock. A product of powerhouse genetics, her sire is our 9 time multi-champion, Snowmass Silent Legend, a Snowmass Elite Legend son. Her Dam is multi champion producer, Seena’s Goldilocks, one of the matriarchs in our foundation herd. As a female, she boasts an off the charts 77mm follicle density, and has produced multi-champions like 6P Accoyo Titan son, Condor, and Sunset Hill’s Zultry, who sold in 2010 for $50,000 (Yes, this is after the stock market fell!). No matter which sire we have paired with her; the offspring have been outstanding. Aurea is no exception. She has fine, bright, organized fleece and perfect conformation. She has strong bone on a solid boxy frame, and a typey huacaya headstyle. She has excellent coverage and long staple length. Add all this to her very friendly disposition, and you have a solid foundation female who you can show, and then add to your foundation stock. She will sell with a breeding to any of our unrestricted herdsires, however, we are recommending our 15 time Champion, 2 time Judges Choice winner, Sunset Hill’s Zagato. We already know the Zephyrus line pairs well with the Goldilocks line as indicated by Zultry. This is a no brainer…may the Legend live on!

Safari VAOBA 2014

We purchased Safari in utero from Amber Autumn Alpacas at the 2013 MAPACA auction, and while our primary interest was in his very fine-fleeced true black dam, we were certainly not unaware of the excellent production record of his sire, El Duro’s Principio. And we have greatly enjoyed piloting this extremely attractive brown male in the show ring, where he has been awarded multiple blue ribbons. Safari boasts richly colored, long-stapled fleece that exhibits a high-frequency crimp style and good uniformity across an extensive blanket. His heavyboned, masculine frame and extensive coverage give him outstanding curb appeal. Fast-maturing, he is showing early interest in breeding and may be ready to go this fall.

Prelude is one of the first offspring of one of our most promising young males Accoyo America Spartacus. She’s very true-to-type with an upright sturdy frame and very unique fleece that combines density with a fine high-frequency crimp. Her head and presence are outstanding, but her 18.1 micron fleece with its 9 crimps per inch, carry the day. I’d suggest a breeding to one of two Nautilus sons, Road Warrior or Kashmir. Both sides of Mach 4’s pedigree are stacked with layers of multi champions too numerous to list here. His sire, A Paca Fun’s Super Sonic, being true to his name, “broke the barrier” to become the first gray male to win a Judge’s Choice award in halter competition. His dam, KBA’s Enlightened, is a 10X banner winner in her own right, taking color champion in both halter and fleece at MAPACA in 2013. Mach 4 himself is a total package. He combines fineness and uniformity with excellent crimp structure and density. All of this is packed on a square, heavy boned frame, with upright, proud presence. Keeping with the family tradition, Mach 4 is already competing well in the show ring being a frontrunner of the juvi division of our show string. Given the depth of his elite gray pedigree that excels in uniformity of micron, color, as well as lasting fineness, we fully expect Mach 4 will be a spectacular herdsire! He would be a wonderful addition to an established breeding program, or an excellent foundation sire for those looking to jump into gray.

Page 4 6 Sire: CCNF Invictus

Dam: CCNF Bellafina

Belle is the first daughter of 2013 AOBA National Fleece Champion, CCNF Invictus, that we have ever offered for sale. Of course like the vast majority of the alpacas in the CCNF herd, she was not conceived by some random act of us coupling any old pairing of alpacas together. Rather, Belle is a riff on her older maternal sister, CCNF Pachelbel, who was sired by 2012 Futurity Reserve Herdsire of the Year, MFI Peruvian Precocious. Enter our Champion beige Precocious son, Invictus. Though his personal trophy chest is nothing to sneeze at, Invictus had the misfortune of showing against CCNF Elixir (2012 Futurity Light Champion and JC Huacaya Male) on multiple occasions, otherwise he’d undoubtedly have at least a couple more of those cool rectangular purple things to his name! That said, Invictus’s incredible fleece density and uniformity combined with the fineness of Bellafina to produce a balanced yearling female with all that one could ask for. We offer this superlative foundation female with a future breeding to any CCNF Herdsire and a full reproductive guarantee! Maternal Sister: CCNF Pachelbel

Sgt Pepper’s stats at the time of his export were AFD 17.9, SD 3.8, CV 21.0 and >30 1.0 for a three-year-old working black. Larrie is a light-rose-grey version of her sire. Her fleece is fine, dense and well-organized with a very soft hand. She stands proud and balanced, her bite is perfect and her head is typey. Larrie’s light-brown dam is SA Peruvian Camelot’s Loretta, whose very fine and uniform fleece helped to place her in the top 1%-2.3% of EPDs for five traits. At six years of age, Loretta has an AFD of 20.9 and CV of 16.4. Loretta is producing champion offspring, and we expect Larrie to be added to the list. We love the fineness, fine crimp style, and especially the uniformity of this female’s dark fleece, along with her generous capacity and upright conformation. The sole Accoyo America Ulysses son we will offer this year, Del Verano is a well-grown, substantial young animal with brilliant, exceedingly uniform white fleece that shows a character reminiscent of his famous sire’s and carries a spin fineness of just 15.2 microns. The EPDs of his sire and dam combine to suggest that Del Verano will excel at producing highly uniform, heavy-fleeced offspring with no give-up in other key traits like fineness and medullation. A small fawn spot on one shoulder may indicate his propensity to produce color as well, increasing the options offered by this compelling young male. EPDs Available: Sire, Dam

With skin biopsy results of over 80 follicles/sq mm (Evans) and a primary to secondary micron variation of just 3.9 microns, combined with a 14 micron fleece at age 2, we knew that the champion Naomi would bring outstanding fleece characteristics to the pairing. Sub-Zero’s genetic impact is equally evident in Siberia’s extremely bright, high curvature fleece, and she carries an SD that is even lower than her famous sire’s was. We like the rest of the package here also. Now we at CCNF are starting to see that none of those accolades were a fluke. If you saw our show pens at either the NAAS or Futurity this April you too know of what we speak! Tikka is a magnificent example of what her sire can do when, in this case, bred with a Champion Nova daughter, Masala. Altair’s sire Accoyo America North Star, an El Nino son and Hemingway grandson, has produced champion offspring in both white and color, and shares the familial propensities to produce fine, uniform, very heavily fleeced offspring. All those traits are manifest in Altair, an attractive, well-proportioned young male with a bright, buttery-handling beige fleece particularly notable for its low SD - our own primary trait of interest at this stage in the development of our herd. Terms and Conditions 1. The following Terms and Conditions, as amended by any posted notices or announcements by the Auctioneer during the auction, constitute the entire agreement between Little Creek Alpacas, LLC or guest consignors (the Seller), on the one hand, and bidders at the auction, on the other hand. 2. WARRANTIES: A. PROVEN PRODUCERS: A proven producer is a female which has already had a cria. Proven producers will be considered to be fertile. There are no expressed or implied warranties for proven producers. B. NEWBORN CRIAS: There are no expressed or implied warranties for new born crias sold with their dams. C. BRED MAIDENS: A bred maiden is a female which has not yet had a cria and is determined to be pregnant. If the cria is not born alive or fails to survive to 24 hours, the Buyer will receive a breeding at no charge to a male owned exclusively by the Seller. Buyer must notify Seller within 48 hours of still-birth/death of cria, and Buyer must use the breeding within 6 months from the date of still-birth / death of cria. This breeding is non-transferrable to any other alpaca. Birth of a live cria which survives 24 hours from birth shall be considered fulfillment of the warranty, and at which point the warranty ends. There are no other expressed or implied warranties for bred maidens. D. MAIDEN FEMALES: Young females sold as individual lots are guaranteed to have the ability to become pregnant by the time they reach 30 months of age and to give birth to a live cria. Each of these females is sold with a complimentary first breeding to a male owned exclusively by the Seller, at the Seller’s farm. The female must be delivered to Seller’s farm for breeding before the female reaches 24 months of age. The female may NOT have been bred or been exposed to any other male prior to delivery to the Seller. Should the buyer fail to deliver the female as set forth above, or if female has been bred/exposed to a male not owned by the Seller, all warranties either implied or express are void, and no free breeding will be given. If the cria is not born alive, the buyer will receive a breeding at no charge to a male owned exclusively by the Seller. This breeding is non-transferrable to any other alpaca. Birth of a live cria which survives 24 hours from birth shall be considered fulfillment of the warranty, and at which point the warranty ends. E. PROVEN MALES: A proven male is a male which has settled a female or which has been tested fertile. Proven males will be considered to be fertile. There are no expressed or implied warranties for proven males. F. YOUNG MALES: Young males are warranted to have the ability to impregnate a female by the time the male is 40 months of age. Warranty shall be considered fulfilled with the first confirmed impregnation of a female, at which point warranty ends. G. With respect to Young Females and Young Males, Seller must be notified in writing by the Buyer’s veterinarian of any claimed abnormality within 6 months of sale. Seller will, at Seller’s option, either: (1) replace the alpaca with an alpaca of equal quality, (2) give the Buyer credit toward the purchase from Seller of another alpaca of the same or different sex in an amount equal to the total amount of the purchase price or (3) give a refund of the purchase price paid at the auction. All alpacas purchased must be shorn annually by the first day of May. All alpacas must be cared for in a manner consistent with generally accepted industry practice. Failure by the Buyer to do either of the above will void all warranties either ex-

press or implied EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED ABOVE, SELLER MAKES NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NOR DOES SELLER MAKE ANY WARRANTY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO THE ANIMALS IN THIS SALE. The foregoing is the full extent of the responsibility of the Seller, and by way of illustration and not limitation, in no event shall the Seller be liable for incidental or consequential damages, or for any changes or expenses of any nature incurred without Seller’s written permission. 3. TERMS: Terms are cash and payment in full, or with terms approved by Seller. Payment must be made to the Cashier immediately following purchase; personal checks are to be payable to SILVER PENN SALES. Seller reserves the right to require a certified check as settlement before releasing the animal. A. All alpacas being financed must have proof of insurance before the Buyer takes possession, naming the Seller as Loss Payee. Buyer must maintain mortality insurance on the animal in the amount of remaining balance until paid in full with the seller named as the loss payee. B. Any income generated by the animal in outside breedings or sales of offspring shall be paid in full to the seller and applied first to interest and then toward the remaining principal balance. C. In the event the scheduled payment on a financed alpaca is not received by Seller within 10 days of the due date, Buyer agrees to pay a penalty payment of $250 per late payment. Additionally Buyer agrees that they will pay a $250 service charge on any NSF checks. Should any payment become 30 days or more past due, this note shall be considered to be in default. In the event of any default, any remaining balance, including accrued interest and penalties shall be immediately due and payable in full. 4. BIDDING: The highest bidder recognized by the Auctioneer shall be the Buyer. Bids tendered after the fall of the hammer are not valid grounds for dispute. If any dispute arises between two or more bidders or in the event of doubt on the Auctioneer’s part as to the validity of any bid, the Auctioneer will have the final discretion either to determine the successful bidder, or to re-offer and resell the alpaca in question. The Auctioneer’s determination is conclusive and not subject to challenge. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid. 5. TAPE: A tape recording will be made of the entire sale which shall be used to settle any questions regarding statements made about animals while they are in the auction ring. 6. TITLE AND DELIVERY: Title will pass to the Buyer upon full payment of the purchase price. All risk of death or injury to the alpaca becomes the Buyer’s risk upon the fall of the hammer. An Acknowledgement of Purchase shall be signed by each Buyer following their purchase. Please write your full name and address clearly. 7. REGISTRATION PAPERS: All registration papers will be delivered when checks clear the bank and payment is made in full. Buyer is responsible for all transfer fees. 8. DEFAULT OF PURCHASE: If any person shall purchase a lot and fail to pay for it in the manner described above, the Seller shall have, in addition to all other legal rights, the right to resell the lot, or at Seller’s option, bring an action for specific performance, in which event the defaulting Buyer agrees to pay all costs of such suit, together with all reasonable

attorney’s fees and costs. In the event of a resale, the defaulting Buyer agrees to pay all costs of resale, plus any deficiency between the original total purchase price and the total purchase price upon resale. 9. TRANSPORTATION: The Buyer, at Buyer’s own expense, shall transport the alpaca from the auction. Any arrangement or disposition of the alpaca after purchase other than immediate removal must be made directly between Buyer and Seller. 10. CATALOG: Every effort has been made to assure correctness of the catalog, but the Seller is not responsible for errors or omissions. Any corrections made to the catalog at the time of the sale from the Auctioneer’s podium shall supersede the catalog. 11. NO LIABILITY: Any person attending the sale, whether as a Buyer, observer, or the agent, employee or assign of any person, does so at their own risk and no liability, duties, obligations, and/or responsibilities of any kind or nature shall be imposed upon Seller, Little Creek Alpacas, LLC., the Auctioneer, Silver Penn Sales, Debbie Harden-Vigus, or any owners, employees or assigns, for any accident, injury, mishap, theft, damage and/or other harm regardless of cause. 12. Unless stated to the contrary, the Seller or representative/agent of Seller shall have the right to bid on his animal selling, or place a minimum reserve bid with the auction company. 13. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY OF AUCTIONEER: Neither the Auctioneer, Silver Penn Sales, Debbie Harden-Vigus, nor any agents, make any representation or warranties whatsoever with respect to the sale animals. All representations contained herein are made by Seller only. 14. BLOOD TYPING: All breeding animals in the sale have been blood typed. 15. AUTHORIZED AGENTS: Persons acting as agents must so indicate when signing the Acknowledgement of Purchase. 16. WITHDRAWAL RIGHTS: The Seller reserves the right to withdraw any alpaca from the sale without liability to anyone. 17. GOVERNING LAW: The sale and all transactions between the Buyer and Seller will be governed by the laws of the State of New York. In the event of any legal disputes regarding default of payment or any other condition of this sale, jurisdiction shall be Westchester County, New York. IMPORTANT NOTICES 1. ABSENTEE BIDS: Absentee bidding is available as a convenience for Buyers who are unable to attend the auction. Bids may be left with an auction representative who will try to purchase the lot or lots of Buyer’s choice for the lowest price possible, and never for more than the maximum amount authorized. These bids are accepted subject to the Terms and Conditions of Sale. Although every effort will be made to execute these bids, Seller or auction company will not be responsible for error or failure to execute absentee bids. 2. Breeding dates and due dates will be announced at the sale; these dates are for your information only. 3. Alpacas in the auction may have been shorn, trimmed, or cleaned for health and/or presentation reasons. Buyers are advised to inspect alpacas carefully prior to bidding. 4. BOARDING: Ten days free board are offered for all sale alpacas. Thereafter, board at $3.00/day/single and $4.00/day/mother and cria will be charged. All veterinary expenses incurred are the responsibility of the Buyer. Page 57
