AC power cable to welding machine to be short in length. OK / Not OK It should be taken O/H to the machine. If cable cannot be taken O/H, then mechanical protection to the cable to be provided. 8. Both live and neutral cable to be taken to the job. OK / Not OK Structures are not to be utilized as return path. 9. Machine is air cooled type only and condition of fan. OK / Not OK 10. Remote control power supply voltage below 50 Volts OK / Not OK (ELCB 30 mA rating provided for control supply above 50 V) OK / Not OK 11. Insulation Resistance of machine, power cable ‌‌Mega Ohms OK / Not OK ((Accepted value should not be less than 2 Mega Ohms) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Recommendation:

Welding m/c is allowed to work in plant areas. Welding machine is not in good condition, however allowed to work after necessary repairs as identified. Welding is unsuitable for use in plant areas. To be removed from site.
