An exhibition of works by acclaimed Sussex artist Clive McBain which demonstrate the most astonishing detail and skill. Mesmerisingly close examination of animals in their natural environments are fascinating and not surprising that paintings have been sold throughout the world.

From Wed 9 Feb Snowdrop Walk at Hever Castle & Gardens
From Wednesday 9th February Visitors to the famous Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn will get the chance to enjoy 100,000 snowdrops as they flower throughout the grounds from Sunday Walk to the banks of the Outer Moat.
Garden writer and galanthophile Val Bourne will deliver a snowdrop talk on Saturday 12th February entitled My Twenty Favourite Snowdrops and the Stories behind Them on the first weekend of the 2022 season. A self-guided snowdrop walk will be available until the snowdrops finish flowering in early March. www.hevercastle.co.uk

during February half-term at Hever Castle. Pull on the wellies and head around Lake Walk for a free nature themed scavenger hunt. Families can collect a bag at the main entrance along with a list of items to find around Lake Walk. Take part in a free Cone Critters workshop where children can paint and decorate their very own pine cone and turn them into critters, then head into the Castle and see if you can spot different types of wildlife hiding in the rooms. The Southeast Puddle Jumping championships are the perfect rainy-day activity. This outdoor competition for kids is fantastic fun for the whole family! Come and make a splash and jump into nature.
You can perfect your splash in our practice puddles anytime during your visit, then enter the Puddle Jumping competitions at 11am and 2.30 pm each day. There’s a daily prize to the child with the highest score and an overall winner as the Puddle Jumping Champion who wins a pair of BOGs welly boots. Saturday 15th January to Sunday 27th February, 10am to 5pm (last entry 4.30pm) Head to Chartwell for a new outdoor photography exhibition, exploring the special relationship between Sir Winston Churchill and the Queen, in her Platinum Jubilee year. A series of hand-selected archive photographs will tell the story of the special relationship between the young Queen and Sir Winston Churchill, at his family home. This is a free exhibition included with normal admission.

Ice Skating and Kids for a Quid at Bluebell Railway
Saturday 12th to Sunday 27th February Children can travel on the Bluebell Railway for just £1 this half term! Head to the steam railway from 12 – 27 February to take advantage of this amazing offer, valid when accompanied by a full fare-paying adult.
