Storrington to Amberley Road resurfacing

Much of the B2139 between Storrington and Houghton was severely affected by July’s extreme temperatures. Overnight resurfacing and works are now scheduled to take place on weekdays, 8pm to 6am, until 25th March.

Kithurst Hill car park saved by Horsham DC

With neither West Sussex County Council nor the South Downs National Park willing to do anything, Horsham District Council have stepped in to take over the maintenance of the car park at Kithurst Hill in Storrington so it can remain open.

Horsham District litter fines increase

People dropping litter in Horsham District will face increased fines. The maximum on-the-spot fine is increasing from £75 to £150 in an effort to prevent people from dropping litter in the District’s streets. Horsham District Council are encouraging residents to report littering via their website www.horsham.gov.uk or alternatively by calling 01403 733144.

New coffee pod recycling scheme

Horsham District Council has launched a new scheme to help residents recycle used coffee pods. You just send off for bags and the pods are collected from your home. Most major makes are eligible. Sign up at www.podback.org
