There is no shortage of places to find contests online. Depending upon what kind of contests you like, you could spend all day every day entering them and probably never get to them all. From packages of gum to international vacations, websites are giving away everything. The key is figuring out how to maximize your chances of winning. To do this, you should enter contests on mom blogs. People disagree on whether it is worth it to enter contests that are hosted by blogs. In fact, some contest websites will even specifically denote contests that are on blogs because not as many people want to enter them. Debates rage on contest forums about the legitimacy and desirability of this type of contest. However, there are five great reasons why you should enter contests you find on mom blogs. 1 National sponsors love mom blogs. Huge conferences are held every year for the sole purpose of connecting big brands with mom blogs that they would not otherwise know about. Because of this, you will find big dollar value prizes being given away through blogs. 2 Money goes into prizes rather than advertising. Mom bloggers jump on the chance to host good contests. Most of the time, the bloggers do not even expect to be compensated for publicizing the contests because the bloggers themselves get a great deal of traffic out of the giveaways. As a result, the contest sponsors can put more money into the prizes, making them more desirable. 3 Small blogs get fewer entries. Although some of the biggest mom blogs have tens of thousands of followers, the reality is that most do not. Often you will see blog contests with no more than 10 or 20 entries. The prizes may not be as big, but with odds like that, you only have to enter 10-20 a week and you will win at least 4 contests a month. The key to finding this type of contest is to visit sites where moms can list their contests for each other. Bookmark them and come back once a week to find updates. Smaller contests tend to end quickly so you will probably get your prizes faster than with big contests. 4 Contest prizes vary. You can find almost anything you want to win on a blog somewhere. Whether you are looking for baby items, food, vacations, or gift cards, chances are pretty good that a blogger is running a contest to give it away. By simply searching for what you want and the words "contest" or "sweepstakes," you might end up with multiple contests to enter. 5 Blog giveaways are easy to enter. Unlike traditional contests where you have to fill out forms and possibly even cut out box lids or collect UPC symbols, blog contests can be entered within minutes. Most contests require you only to fill out a short form. Some require only a comment left
on the blog. Many times you can get extra entries by spreading the word about the contest. One final word about contests on mom blogs is that you can usually tell the legitimacy of the contest by the reputation of the blog and who is sponsoring the contest. Even if you enter contest after contest and only win now and again, the ease of entry and variety of prizes can be worth the effort.
