Free Advertising or Paid Advertising, that is the question. Which you choose largely depends on another question, do I have the money or the time? You may wonder what I mean by that and the answer is rather simple - paid advertising generally takes less time to set up and gives quicker results while free advertising takes a while longer to set up and even longer to see results. Banners are a common feature throughout the World Wide Web and are an accepted part of the browsing experience, though the click rate has declined considerably since they first appeared years ago. Banners that blend into the page do receive a higher click through rate than those that obviously stand out as advertising. Another popular type is the pop-up banner but those have become more of an annoyance and have lost a lot of their effectiveness due to the advent of pop-up blockers. - Web2.0 is the hottest traffic generation method to hit the Internet in years. It's effectiveness cannot be overstated. You would be well advised to start using Web2.0, otherwise known as social networking, in your marketing efforts. The results will more than likely outpace any other free traffic method and even some paid ones. Free advertising , done correctly, is a great way to introduce your products and/or services to millions of prospective buyers. The whole point of marketing is to find people who want what you are selling and getting your product or service seen by as many people as possible while spending as little as possible appeals to most of us.
