VINNIES WINTER APPEAL 2010 St Vincent de Paul Society, SA, is pleased to announce the launch of our Winter Appeal NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO KNOW THIS‌ HELP THE THOUSANDS THAT DO
There will be a photo opportunity at 1.30pm at Ozanam House, 202 Franklin Street, Adelaide - on Thursday May 20, 2010, with representatives from Port Adelaide FC and the St Vincent de Paul Society, along with key business supporters of our CEO Sleepout to be held on 17th June 2010. This year, we approached some of the Australians we know who are experiencing hardship and asked them to share with us what they do to survive on a daily basis. Some told us how they survive sleeping on the streets. Others shared how they manage to feed their family with less than twenty dollars a week. Each individual response was different, but there was one thing they all had in common; these people know things no one should have to know. With your help, we can provide assistance to those struggling to cope on their own, people who have had to resort to desperate measures to survive. By offering a range of support services including homeless refuges, budget counseling, education programs, supported employment and services for those with mental illness, we can help those in need know more than just despair. No one should know a life without hope. Together, we can help the thousands that do.
